Abstract

Cellular lightweight concrete (CLC) blocks are a type of non-structural wall material that has the potential to reduce a building’s dead load; however, their use still faces technical challenges due to low compressive strength and high water absorption. Palm oil fuel ash (POFA) derived from oil palm biomass waste has the potential to be used as a partial cement substitute. This study aims to evaluate the effect of POFA as a partial cement substitute at levels of 0–30% on the compressive strength and water absorption of CLC lightweight bricks. POFA was ground twice using a disc mill with a No. 200 sieve. Cube specimens measuring 50×50×50 mm were tested at 7 and 28 days of age under normal curing and steam curing conditions. The results showed that a 10% POFA substitution yielded the best performance, with a compressive strength of 3.53 MPa under normal curing at 28 days and 3.57 MPa under steam curing at 28 days. This mixture also produced the lowest water absorption, namely 21.58% and 1.66% under the same conditions. The highest strength activity index was also achieved with a 10% POFA substitution. These findings indicate that the use of 10% POFA is suitable for producing low-cement CLC lightweight bricks with better mechanical and absorption performance for sustainable non-structural wall applications.

Abstract

Ukuran agregat merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi kuat tekan beton berpori. Penelitian ini berfokus pada hubungan antara ukuran agregat, kuat tekan, struktur pori, permeabilitas dan kemudian memahami pengaruh ukuran agregat terhadap kuat tekan beton berpori. Sebanyak tiga ukuran agregat kasar 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm dan 20-30 mm disiapkan. Pada penelitian ini dibuat dua variasi kombinasi agregat kasar. Variasi 1 untuk kombinasi agregat kasar ukuran 5–10 mm dan 10–20 mm. Variasi 2 untuk kombinasi ukuran agregat kasar 20–30 mm dan 10–20 mm. Untuk setiap variasi dengan kombinasi pencampuran 100%:0%, 75%:25%, 50%:50%, 25%:75%, dan 0%:100%. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengujian kuat tekan, porositas, dan permeabilitas. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan komposisi 50%:50% pada Variasi 1 meningkat pesat dengan ukuran agregat 10-20mm dan 5-10mm dengan nilai 22,40 MPa yang memenuhi persyaratan minimum yang ditentukan oleh Standar Nasional Indonesia yaitu Kelas B (aplikasi taman parkir). Sedangkan penggunaan agregat ukuran 100% seragam memiliki kuat tekan yang rendah.

Abstract

The high consumption of cement and the limited utilization of biomass combustion residues have highlighted the need for the development of more sustainable cement materials, particularly for construction in coastal areas. While biomass fly ash (BFA) has potential as a cement replacement material, information regarding the use of raw BFA, without pretreatment, in mortar cured in seawater remains limited. This study aims to evaluate the technical feasibility of BFA as a partial cement replacement in mortar, based on compressive strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV), water absorption, and strength activity index (SAI). BFA was used to replace cement at levels of 10%, 20%, and 30% by weight. Mortar mixtures were prepared with a water-to-cement ratio of 0.40, using tap water for mixing and seawater as the curing medium. Compressive strength was tested at 7, 28, and 91 days, while UPV and water absorption were tested at 28 and 91 days. The SAI values were calculated from the compressive strength results to assess the effectiveness of BFA as a cement replacement material. The results indicated that mortar performance was significantly influenced by the BFA substitution level. The mixture with 10% BFA exhibited the best performance, achieving a compressive strength of 32.62 MPa at 91 days, a UPV value of 3434 m/s, and water absorption of 4.80%. The mixture with 20% BFA still showed reasonably good performance, whereas the 30% BFA mixture led to a noticeable deterioration in mortar quality. The SAI results confirmed that 10% replacement was the most effective level. These findings indicate that raw BFA can be directly utilized as a partial cement replacement in mortar cured in seawater.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan  dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana peran Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Melati  dalam meningkatan Perekonomian Keluarga di Desa Mosso Kecamatan Balanipa Kabupaten Polewali. Penelitian  ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian ini yaitu kelompok  wanita  tani (KWT) Melati di Desa Mosso kecamatan Balanipa Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Populasi  dalam penelitian ini sekaligus menjadi sampel yaitu seluruh anngota  kelompok  wanita  tani (KWT) Melati yang berjumlah 35 orang.   Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhanaHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahawa Partisipasi  kelompok  wanita  tani (KWT) Melati  berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perekonomian  keluarga di Desa Mosso Kecamatan Balanipa Kabupaten Polewali Mandar Kata kunci : Kelompok Wanita Tani, Perekonomian Keluarga

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat pesisir Desa Tinambung, Kecamatan Pamboang, Kabupaten Majene melalui pelatihan pembuatan bata beton berbasis air laut dan pasir lokal sebagai alternatif bahan bangunan untuk konstruksi ringan. Permasalahan mitra meliputi keterbatasan keterampilan teknis, belum tersedianya unit produksi bahan bangunan skala komunitas, serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal (air laut dan pasir sungai) sebagai input produksi. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis berbasis praktik langsung (learning by doing), pendampingan proses pencampuran–pencetakan menggunakan cetakan manual, serta evaluasi kompetensi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 9 Agustus 2025 dan diikuti 20 peserta usia produktif. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teknis peserta sebesar 40% (selisih skor post-test terhadap pre-test) dan peserta mampu menghasilkan bata beton dengan mutu awal yang layak untuk kebutuhan konstruksi ringan. Kebaruan kegiatan ini terletak pada integrasi pemanfaatan air laut–pasir lokal dengan model pelatihan partisipatif dan evaluasi terukur sebagai dasar rintisan produksi komunitas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa teknologi tepat guna berbasis sumber daya lokal berpotensi memperkuat kapasitas kerja, peluang usaha, dan kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat pesisir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of information technology and skills on employee performance at the Regional Asset Finance Agency of Majene Regency. In this research methodology, quantitative techniques with a saturated approach were used. All 66 employees at the Regional Asset Finance Agency of Majene Regency were selected as the population of this study. The results of the study show how the use of information technology and affects employee performance efficiency. The above study shows a significant relationship between information technology and competence, evidenced by the calculated f value of 20.198 at a significance level of 5% (p value 0.05 = 0.000). This indicates that the variables of information technology (X1) and competence (X2) jointly influence employee work efficiency at the Regional Asset Finance Agency of Majene Regency.
