Abstract

Dengan diterapkannya sistem pemilihan serentak yang mencakup Presiden, Wakil Presiden, anggota DPR, DPD, dan DPRD di Indonesia, maka peran KPPS menjadi sangat penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan pesta demokrasi. Kinerja setiap anggota KPPS perlu ditinjau secara terus menerus agar dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik. Dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, KPPS perlu memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai tugas, wewenang dan kewajiban petugas KPPS. Oleh karena itu, bimbingan teknis yang dilaksanakan pada Minggu, 28 Januari 2024 di Padanan, Wonosari, Klaten sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kinerja KPPS. Dengan adanya bimbingan teknis, petugas KPPS lebih memahami dalam menjalankan tugasnya dan menyelesaikan permasalahan pada saat pemilu.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Baiturrahim Mosque, Pranggong, Boyolali. Storytelling is one method for improving English language skills, especially in children. The subjects of this devotion are the students of TPA Masjid Baiturrahim, who consist of 24 male students and 26 female students. The purpose of this service activity is to enhance the english language skills of the students at TPA Baiturrahim. This activity was conducted by watching English films. Then, the storyteller retold the story in Indonesian and taught English by expanding vocabulary, teaching how to answer WH-questions and Yes/No questions, teaching correct pronunciation, and boosting confidence in communicating in English. To test comprehension, participants completed pretests and posttests in English and responded in English. The final session was a question-and-answer session in English. Based on the results of the pretests and posttests, the participants' abilities improve significantly. The pretest results showed that participants were able to answer correctly 73 questions, whereas the posttest results showed that participants were able to answer correctly 148 questions. Therefore, this service in improving English language skills had a positive impact on the English communication abilities of TPA Baiturrahim students.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the integration of the Probing Prompting model with Couple Card media, despite the belief that dialogic approaches combined with concrete visual aids can enhance elementary students’ learning outcomes in thematic instruction. The study aims to analyze the implementation of the Probing Prompting model assisted by Couple Card media, describe students' learning outcomes, and assess the model’s effect on the learning achievement of Grade III students at MIN 4 Sukoharjo. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed, involving 108 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires to evaluate the implementation of the instructional model and final assessment (PAT) scores to measure learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results indicate that the implementation of the Probing Prompting model with Couple Card media was at a high level, while student learning outcomes were categorized as good. Statistically, there is a positive and significant effect of the model’s implementation on students’ learning outcomes in thematic subjects, with a contribution of 8.3%. These findings suggest that combining structured questioning techniques with concrete visual media can enhance students’ cognitive engagement and academic performance. The study’s implications highlight the importance of developing interactive and contextual learning strategies at the elementary level and recommend further research to examine the model’s effectiveness across different educational stages and learning contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research examining the comprehensive role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher competence, covering pedagogical, personal, social, and professional dimensions in shaping students’ religious character in Islamic school settings, despite its importance for realizing the objectives of Kurikulum Merdeka and the Pelajar Pancasila (Pancasila Student Profile). The study aims to test the effect of PAI teacher competence on the formation of students’ religious character. Using a quantitative explanatory method with a correlational survey design, the sample comprised 34 students from class XI.9 at SMA Al-Islam 1 Surakarta selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale supported by documentation, and were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS (validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression). The results show that PAI teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on the formation of students’ religious character (b = 0.292; t = 2.484; p = 0.018 < 0.05), with a coefficient of determination R² = 16.2%, indicating that 16.2% of the variance in religious character is explained by teacher competence, while the mean levels of teacher competence and students’ religious character fall within the moderate category (mean X = 32.21; mean Y = 35.15). These findings reinforce social learning theory (Bandura) and character education literature, which emphasize teachers as role models who play a central role in the internalization of religious values, while also indicating the presence of other contextual factors that account for the remaining variance. The study implies the need for ongoing professional development for PAI teachers and recommends further research with larger samples, longitudinal or mixed-methods designs, and the inclusion of family and school climate variables to enrich empirical understanding of the determinants of students’ religious character.
