Abstract

Psychological well-being is a condition where individuals feel their life is meaningful when they are able to demonstrate and gain personal self-acceptance, control over the environment, have convincing interpersonal relationships, personal growth and autonomy, several factors that can influence psychological well-being. Welfare can lead to social service support provided by someone with good adjustment. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of social support and adjustment on the psychological well-being of overseas students. The instruments used in this research were the Ryff's Scale of Psychological Well-Being (RSPWB) developed by Ryff, the Social Provision Scale by Cutrona, C.E and Russel as a social support scale, and a self-adjustment scale compiled based on six aspects based on opinions from Schneiders as many as 30 items. Data analysis techniques are used to test the hypothesis and correlation with the help of SPSS version 25 data processing. The results of the research suddenly show a correlation that leads to social support and self-adjustment which is associated with the psychological well-being of overseas students,recorded with a correlation coefficient of 0.692 and a significance score of 0.000 (p > 0.05). Thus the hypothesis proposed in this research is accepted.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara work life balance dengan komitmnen organisasi. Untuk penelitian ini yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah pegawai milenial pada Kementerian Koordinator Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan, yaitu sebanyak 98 pegawai dengan menerapkan purposive sampling. Alat yang digunakan dalam metode pengumpulan data adalah dengan metode skala likert. Perhitungan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode uji hipotesis untuk mengetahui analisis regresi linier berganda. Untuk melakukan analisis data maka digunakan analisa menggunakan SPSS 25 for Mac.Os. Diperoleh nilai r = 0.543, dan p = 0.001 (p0.05) dari hasil analisis yang mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif antara work life balance dengan komitmen organisasi. Disamping itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa menurut (R2) yang diberikan variabel work life balance dengan komitmen organisasi adalah sebesar 29.5 persen, dan sementara 70.5 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lainnya yang tidak diuji dalam studi. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya yang tertarik untuk meneliti dengan judul yang sama sebaiknya menambahkan dan menggunakan variabel lain.

Abstract

Migrant students often experience loneliness due to separation from their families and familiar environments. This loneliness is not merely caused by the absence of social interaction but also by a lack of meaningful emotional support in the new setting. This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional support provided by boarding house managers and feelings of loneliness among migrant students. A quantitative method with a correlational design was used. The sample consisted of 210 migrant students living in boarding houses or dormitories, and data were collected using two instruments: an emotional support scale and a loneliness scale. Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results indicate a significant negative relationship between emotional support from boarding house managers and the level of loneliness among students. This means that the higher the emotional support perceived from the boarding house managers, the lower the level of loneliness experienced by the students. Future research is encouraged to include mediating variables such as attachment or emotion regulation to further explore the underlying mechanisms of this relationship. The implication of this study highlights the importance of involving boarding house managers as informal agents of emotional support to foster a more supportive and psychologically healthy living environment for migrant students.Mahasiswa perantauan kerap mengalami kesepian akibat keterpisahan dari keluarga dan lingkungan asal. Kesepian ini tidak hanya disebabkan oleh ketiadaan interaksi sosial, melainkan juga oleh kurangnya dukungan emosional yang bermakna di lingkungan baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan emosional dari pengelola kost dengan perasaan kesepian pada mahasiswa perantauan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel terdiri dari 210 mahasiswa perantauan yang tinggal di kost atau asrama, dan data dikumpulkan menggunakan dua instrumen: skala dukungan emosional serta skala kesepian. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara dukungan emosional dari pengelola kost dan tingkat kesepian mahasiswa perantauan. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan emosional yang dirasakan dari pengelola kost, maka semakin rendah tingkat kesepian yang dialami mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar studi selanjutnya mengikutsertakan variabel mediasi seperti keterikatan atau regulasi emosi untuk memahami mekanisme hubungan lebih dalam. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelibatan pengelola kost sebagai agen dukungan emosional informal untuk menciptakan lingkungan tinggal yang lebih suportif dan sehat secara psikologis bagi mahasiswa perantauan.

Abstract

Abstrak Impulsive buying merupakan perilaku pembelian yang tidak direncanakan, dipengaruhi oleh reaksi emosional, dan cenderung dilakukan secara spontan akibat faktor eksternal, salah satunya adalah ketertarikan terhadap figur selebritas. Dalam konteks budaya K-Pop, fenomena ini dikenal dengan istilah celebrity worship. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan tingkat celebrity worship dan impulsive buying yang dialami oleh penggemar K-Pop serta menganalisis pengaruh keduanya dalam konteks psikologis. Metode penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 286 responden yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan mencakup skala Celebrity Attitude Scale dan skala impulsive buying yang telah diadaptasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian yaitu ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara celebrity worship dengan impulsive buying pada penggemar K-Pop sebesar 77.8%. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan penelitian diterima. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah keterikatan emosional yang berlebihan terhadap selebritas dapat menjadi faktor psikologis yang mendorong perilaku konsumtif yang tidak terkontrol. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi individu, terutama remaja dan dewasa muda, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran diri dan kemampuan pengelolaan emosi dalam menghadapi pengaruh media dan budaya populer agar dapat mengambil keputusan pembelian yang lebih rasional dan bijaksana. Kata Kunci: Pemuja Selebriti, Pembelian Impulsif, Fans K-Pop AbstractImpulsive buying is purchasing behavior that is not planned, is influenced by emotional reactions and is carried out spontaneously due to external factors, one of which is attraction to celebrities. In K-Pop culture, this phenomenon is known as celebrity worship. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of celebrity worship and impulsive buying experienced by K-Pop fans and analyze the influence of both in a psychological context. The research method is quantitative involving 286 respondents, selected through purposive sampling. The measuring instruments used include the Celebrity Attitude Scale that has been adapted and the adapted impulsive buying scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study are that there is a significant influence between celebrity worship and impulsive buying on K-Pop fans with an effect size of 77.8%. Thus, the hypothesis proposed by the study was accepted. The implication of these findings is that excessive emotional attachment to celebrities can be a psychological factor that encourages uncontrolled consumptive behavior. Therefore, it is important for individuals, especially adolescents and young adults, to improve their self-awareness and emotion management skills in the face of media influence and popular culture in order to make more rational and thoughtful purchasing decisions. Keywords: Celebrity Worship, Impulsive Buying, K-Pop Fans

Abstract

Generation Z is known as the group most familiar with technology, making them more susceptible to using paylater services. Self-control and hedonistic tendencies are assumed to play a role in influencing their financial management behavior. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control, hedonism, and financial management among paylater users in Bandar Lampung. The research design used was quantitative correlational with 332 participants aged 17–28 years selected through purposive sampling. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that self-control and hedonism had a significant effect on financial management with a significance level of 0.01 < 0.05. Partially, self-control has a strong positive influence (p=0.001) and an effective contribution of 14.9%, while hedonism shows a significant negative influence (p=0.004) and an effective contribution of 5.5%. These findings confirm that self-control is more dominant in shaping healthy financial management behavior than hedonism, which tends to have the opposite effect.
