Abstract

This paper is an attempt to explore the deepest message of Amos 8:4-8 with the socio-historical interpretation approach. Progress and prosperity that occurred in northern Israel in the 8th century BC gave birth to religious euphoria. The euphoria can be seen from the crowded places of worship visited by people to offer praise and sacrifice. But unfortunately, religious life has no impact at all on their social life, greed and oppression occur here and there. This is the background to the criticism of the prophet found in Amos 8: 4-8. The socio-historical interpretation approach used in this study is a tool to explore the meaning of the text by investigating the social context of the community when the text was written. The results of the interpretation explain that the middle and upper classes form an economic system that harms the lower classes, namely small farmers and urbanites. Worship is useless if it does not give rise to social care for others. Abstrak Tulisan ini adalah suatu upaya menggali pesan terdalam teks Amos 8:4-8. Kemajuan dan kemakmuran yang terjadi di Israel Utara pada abad 8 sM melahirkan euforia keagamaan. Euforia itu tampak dengan ramainya tempat-tempat peribadatan yang dikunjungi umat untuk menyampaikan pujian dan korban. Tetapi sayangnya kehidupan beragama tersebut tidak berdampak sama sekali bagi kehidupan sosial mereka, ketamakan serta penindasan terjadi di sana-sini. Hal inilah yang menjadi latar belakang kecaman nabi yang terdapat pada Amos 8:4-8. Interpretasi sosio-historis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat untuk menggali makna teks dengan menyelidiki konteks sosial masyarakat saat teks dituliskan. Hasil penafsiran menjelaskan bahwa kalangan menengah dan atas membentuk sistem perekonomian yang merugikan kalangan bawah yaitu petani kecil dan kaum urban. Ibadah menjadi sia-sia belaka bila tidak melahirkan sikap kepedulian sosial terhadap sesamanya.

Abstract

This research is entitled Curriculum Development based on Teaching Skills, Local Wisdom, and Creative Economy in IAKN Tarutung Theological Study Program. The purpose of this research is to obtain a Theology Curriculum in accordance with the needs of stakeholders related to the Theological Study Program IAKN Tarutung. The method used is Research and Development (R&D). This method is used to produce a specific product and test its effectiveness of the product. The R&D model used is the ADDIE model which is done gradually or systematically: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on the data found in the place where alumni work, graduates are needed who are not only proficient in theology and church but they should also have good teaching skills, have the insight of wisdom, and be able to help the church in developing the creative economy of the church. The results of this research merged the course of Integration of Theology and the course of Sociology of Community Empowerment into the course of Entrepreneur-ship, the course of Entrepreneurship Work Theology and Entrepreneurship into the course of creative behavior was replaced into the course of Teaching Skills. The Creative Economics course is an SKS award-winning course because it is considered important as a course that builds students' knowledge for the economic empowerment of the church.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengangkat judul Pengembangan Kurikulum berbasis Kerampilan Mengajar, Kearifan Lokal, dan Ekonomi Kreatif di Program Studi Teologi IAKN Tarutung. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan Kurikulum Teologi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan para pemangku kepentingan sekaitan dengan Program Studi Teologi IAKN Tarutung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D). Penggunaan metode in agar menghasilkan produk serta menguji keefektifan produk tersebut. Model R&D dalam penelitian ini adalah ADDIE yang dilakukan secara bertahap atau sistematis: Analysis, Design, Development (mengembangkan), Implementation (mengimplementasi-kan), dan Evalution (mengevaluasi). Berdasarkan data yang ditemukan di tempat alumni bekerja diperlukan lulusan yang tidak hanya cakap dalam berteologi dan berjemaat saja tetapi sebaiknya mereka juga memiliki kemampuan mengajar yang baik, memiliki wawasan kearifan, serta mampu membantu jemaat dalam mengembangkan ekonomi kreatif jemaat. Hasil penelitian ini melebur mata kuliah Integrasi Teologi dan mata kuliah Sosiologi Pemerdayaan Masyarakat menjadi mata kuliah Kewirausahaan, mata kuliah Entrepreneurship Teologi Kerja dan Kewirausahaan pada mata kuliah perilaku berkarya diganti menjadi mata kuliah Keterampilan Mengajar. Mata kuliah Ekonomi Kreatif menjadi mata kuliah yang mendapat penghargaan SKS karena dianggap penting sebagai mata kuliah yang membangun pengetahuan mahasiswa untuk pemerdayaan ekonomi jemaat.
