Abstract

A multicultural and multireligious society demands the existence of social harmony that underlies the order of life together. Therefore, it is necessary to take proactive actions to achieve inclusive togetherness among religious communities. The teaching of Jeremiah 29:7 provides instructions for taking that proactive action. The verse instructs His people to "seek the welfare of the city where they live" and "pray for the city to the LORD." In this view, religious moderation and hospitality are the keys to achieving this goal. This article is qualitative research to examine the biblical-theological ideas in Jeremiah 29:7. This study aims to strengthen the understanding of religious moderation and hospitality in the context of Jeremiah 29:7. The results of the study show that religious moderation and hospitality refer to respect for religious beliefs and the beliefs of other people without ignoring one's own religious identity. In addition, hospitality emphasizes the importance of sharing compassion and understanding when serving others.

Abstract

This article explores the ethics of holiness in the context of a personal relationship with God, as described in Revelation 21:3 and 21:22. In these verses, the emphasis on God's presence amid His people highlights the importance of the intimate relationship between man and the Creator. This research analyzes how the ethics of holiness not only serve as a moral guide but also as a consequence of a deep relationship with God. Ethics in the context of the New Testament, especially in the Book of Revelation, offers deep insight into the relationship between man and God. Revelation 21:3 and 21:22 serve as the culmination of eschatological hope, presenting the ultimate vision in which God dwells among His people. Through these two verses, we can explore how divine presence affects ethical norms and human behaviour. Through a hermeneutic approach and text analysis, this article discusses the implications of God's closeness to His people, including the ethical responsibilities that arise from such relationships. Additionally, this article considers contemporary challenges in applying holiness ethics in everyday life, as well as how these values can guide individuals to live in holiness and integrity. The conclusions of this study suggest that a deeper understanding of personal relationships with God can increase an individual's ethical awareness, strengthen a commitment to holy living, and encourage communities to create an atmosphere that reflects the values of God's Kingdom. As a result, the narrative of the restoration of the cosmic order of Christianity is not much different from the narrative of the times. But in the light of redemptive history, the tabernacle of God affirms the final expansion of Eden, the revelation of God's glory, and His fellowship with man. Therefore, a good and meaningful portrait of human life should be by the purpose of creation.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with the exploration of women identified with Jesus as an intrinsic part of humanity and as co-workers with God. The life and existence of women in God are women working, loving and at the same time able to struggle within themselves and have the same compassion as men according to Luke 15:8-10. The research method is qualitative research. This qualitative research uses secondary sources, i.e. sources from recent journals, to look at the initiative of God and women in the book of Luke. The results show that women in God are heirs of God's nature, able to forgive, to persevere in all matters of life, to be loved and to love, and also as a metaphor for the salvation of humanity through the parable of the lost Dirham (coin).

Abstract

This article discusses the Book of Revelation, which is often perceived as a frightening book due to its abundance of apocalyptic symbols and confusing, terrifying end-time narratives. Such interpretations have caused fear and confusion, particularly among modern readers, regarding the concept of the end times. This article addresses this issue with the aim of re-examining the core message of Revelation by analyzing Revelation 21:1–8. This passage is understood as the climax of the revelation, emphasizing God’s promise of salvation and renewal. The method used in this study is a literature review combined with a historical-critical exegetical approach to explore both the historical context and the theological meaning of the text. The findings reveal that Revelation 21:1–8 presents an eschatological vision filled with hope, affirming that salvation is the central message of the Book of Revelation. Therefore, although the book begins with seemingly frightening symbols and narratives, readers should not remain trapped in fear. Instead, they are encouraged to understand the entire book as a progressive unveiling of God's love and salvation for humanity. In this way, the end times should no longer be seen as a terrifying event, but rather as the beginning of the salvation that God offers to humankind.

Abstract

Social media is identified as a double-edged medium: it can facilitate constructive interfaith interaction, yet also foster misinformation that undermines harmony. This study examines the impact of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and digital anxiety on adolescents, with attention to their effects on mental health, spiritual life and interfaith harmony. Using a qualitative narrative exegesis of Luke 12:22–34, the research highlights theological insights on divine providence as a spiritual resource for addressing anxiety, while examining interfaith perspectives on digital-era challenges. The findings show that Luke 12:22–34 offers adolescents meaningful guidance in coping with digital pressures, emphasizing trust, contentment and release from worry. The study underscores that interfaith dialogue is vital for strengthening solidarity amid digital complexities and that collaborative approaches across religious traditions provide more inclusive and sustainable frameworks for addressing adolescent anxiety than single-tradition responses. The study proposes three practical interventions: interfaith digital literacy programs rooted in shared values, interfaith youth dialogue groups focusing on FOMO and digital wellness, and collaborative anti-misinformation initiatives. These strategies demonstrate how theological reflection combined with interfaith cooperation can equip adolescents to manage digital anxiety while promoting tolerance, inclusivity, and interreligious harmony in contemporary society.
