Abstract

Terrorism is taking on more and more varied forms, acts, and networks as a result of changes in worldwide, so that international organizations and civil society play a significant role in the battle against terrorism. Counterterrorism includes law enforcement, deradicalization efforts, and threat detection all done concurrently and collaboratively. As international organizations, the UN and Interpol prepared the legal framework, offered technical assistance, and supported the worldwide response. It is advised to use technology, cooperate across sectors, and reinforce deradicalization and preventative methods in order to maximize effectiveness. Global organizations must strengthen cross-border reactions and policy coordination in order to stop radicalization and boost civil society participation in educational initiatives. The role of financial institutions in preventing the funding of terrorism must also be considered. Governments and security agencies at both the national and international levels must enhance cyber security, keep an eye out for online content that encourages terrorism, and invest in the development of detection and monitoring technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), which functions as a virtual police force.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Police (INP) should become a professional, credible, accountable, transparent based on the principles of Democratic Policing. This research uses qualitative approach with case study as a research method which uses sources such as documents, books, and other related literatures. From several evaluation research show that there are lots of efforts for organisational transformation which experience failures although the INP have chosen many strategies, planning and resources as well as strong administrative commitments. Threats to the success of transformation within the organisation may emerge whether from the inside or outside. The political will in a bureaucratical field and willingness of the public which is the initiative and capability to support the INP's transformation becomes the primary key in actualising the INP that is Presisi. It is a utopia if the transformation of the INP in becoming an ideal national police comes solely from internal INP efforts. This research's recommendations are: the public must be involved actively in all processes of transformation, the need to strengthen organisational culture, moral and ethics of police, the empowerment of human resources which are based on science, and the process of transformation must be followed through continuous monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

Procurement of events or what is commonly referred to as events is something that is very common at this time. Events have various purposes and also have various procurement scales. Some events are known to fail in their implementation and even cause riots. This can happen due to a lack of attention to event management. Event management will be easier to do by classifying events. The classification of events that are well known in the event business world are MICE events and non-MICE events. MICE events include meetings, incentive trips, conferences and exhibitions. Non-MICE events consist of festivals, sports tourism, celebrations and parties. Broadly speaking, event management consists of 5 stages, including: research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation. However, each event characteristic has a different treatment of these 5 things. The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of events and efforts to avoid event failures due to a lack of understanding of events. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach in which a conceptual study was carried out regarding each event to find an appropriate formulation of the event concept for each class. This research results that the failure of an event can have a serious impact such as the occurrence of riots where one of them occurred in Indonesia, event failures can also raise their own fear of customer disappointment. Both MICE events and non-MICE events must pay attention to their characteristics and important points such as location, room, event concept, event protocol, participants, event scale and so on. It can be concluded that knowing the characteristics of an event can make it easier to develop event concepts and carry out event management both at the pre-event, during the event, and after the event.

Abstract

Most likely, some illegal journalists have a mission or goal to seek information about intelligence activities that can damage Indonesia's image in the eyes of the world. Thus, it is necessary to supervise foreigners, especially foreign journalists. One of these supervisions is carried out by the National Police's Intelligence Board. However, the National Police's Intelligence Board does not have a legal instrument that underlies the authority to supervise foreigners, based on Act no. 2 of 2022 concerning the National Police and the need for support in the PORA Team system. This research aimed to determine the role and implement strategic planning for the National Police Agency in overcoming various polemics regarding the supervision of foreign journalists in Indonesia as one of the implementations of strategic intelligence studies. The method used is interpretive qualitative with data collection techniques, documentation, and interviews with selected sources by purposive sampling. The data obtained were then analyzed in depth. The role of The Intelligence Board of Polri in supervising foreign journalists have not been maximized and needs to be optimized to maintain National Security. It is necessary to formulate new regulations and revise regulations on the supervision of foreigners, especially foreign journalists, including the criminal aspects of foreign intelligence activities, coordination, communication, and collaboration between ministries/agencies, and the urgency of making a Perpol for the supervision of foreigners, division of tasks and authorities in the supervision of foreigners to improve the quality of the performance of the National Police The Intelligence Board of in carrying out their work.
