Abstract

Immunization is the most effective public health intervention for preventing menular infections in babies and women. However, kepatuhan terhadap jadwal imunisasi is still a problem in many pedesaan areas, including Desa Sigara-gara, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Factors that affect ketidakpatuhan are not limited to the availability of healthcare services; they also include aspects of knowledge, sikap, trust, and culture as well as the quality of communication between healthcare providers and the general public. This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of complementary education methods for improving immunization skills. The method used is literary analysis and conceptual analysis of several health education models that are relevant to the social conditions of the local community. The study's findings indicate that complementary education that is multimodal, collaborative, and community-based can increase understanding, trust, and self-awareness regarding children's immunization. Because of this, the implementation of complementary education methods is advised as a strategy to support the routine immunization program at the local level.

Abstract

Pregnant women frequently encounter anxiety, particularly during the third trimester of pregnancy. If left untreated, this anxiety can interfere with daily activities and has the potential to have a negative impact on the mother and her baby. Maternal anxiety is a significant problem, because it can cause complications such as obstructed labor and miscarriage if not treated properly. Pregnancy-related anxiety is characterized by a negative emotional state associated with concerns about personal well-being, fetal condition, the labor process, or preparation for motherhood. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Maryam exercise movements and prenatal yoga in reducing anxiety in third trimester pregnant women at the Juliana Dalimunthe Clinic, Percut Sei Tuan District in 2025. The research design used was an experimental study with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 26 third trimester pregnant women selected by purposive sampling. From the results of the Wilcoxon statistical test, significant results or probability values ​​(0.001) were obtained which were much lower than the standard significant value <0.05 or (p<ᵅ), the Ha scale was accepted, which means that there is an influence between the Maryam exercise movements and prenatal yoga on reducing anxiety in pregnant mothers in the third trimester. the results the Mann-Whitney test a differencein anxiety levels between the two groups significant difference in anxiety levels after Maryam exercise and after prenatal yoga (p value = 0.023 <α 0.05). the results showed that the group of respondents who did the Maryam exercise movements had a lower anxiety value, namely (mean rank = 11.73) compared to the anxiety value in the prenatal yoga treatment, namely (mean rank = 14.35).These findings indicate a significant comparison of the effectiveness of Maryam exercise and prenatal yoga in reducing anxiety in third trimester pregnant women at the Juliana Dalimunthe Clinic in 2025.
