Abstract

This article aims to explain the activities of developing Balinese script and dharmagita in pockets of Hindus who live in the Purwa Karya Hamlet area, Pandak Guar Village, East Lombok. This phenomenon relates to a pilot program to instill religious cultural values in communities in Hindu enclaves. There are two methods used in coaching activities, namely the lecture method and the practical method. The lecture method is prioritized to provide an understanding of aspects related to Hindu teachings and their implementation in everyday life. The practical method is applied in training participants to be able to master the material presented. The results of coaching activities as output for coaching Balinese script and dharmagita are categorized into two. First, the development of Balinese script through guidance methods is oriented towards understanding Balinese script as a tool for reading lontar manuscripts using Balinese. The practical method is weighted on writing skills and reading Balinese script. Second, dharmagita counseling is carried out through a mentoring method which is weighted on theoretical aspects in understanding teachers and songs in reading kakawin texts. The practical method emphasizes the aspect of the ability to chant the wirama and gartos of the text being read.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strengthening of the attitude of religious moderation implemented by the Sasak people who are Muslim and Hindu people who embrace Hinduism through the media of cultural arts. This research was designed in a qualitative descriptive manner using a case study model. The results of this study found three important findings related to the strengthening of religious moderation through art and culture media. First, there was cultural arts contact between the Sasak people and the Balinese people in the past which collaborated. Second, the arts collaboration that occurs is displayed in traditional, cultural, religious and important activities as a vehicle to enliven the event. Third, the arts and cultural expressions in activities, both informal and formal, have the opportunity to strengthen religious moderation.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a study of the actions of Hindus in building International relations through the development of cultural tourism in Senggigi beach. The phenomenon is to maintain the sanctity of the temple associated with the development of tourism in Senggigi beach. There are three focuses on the research, namely the challenges faced by Hindus in preserving the existence of the Segara Temple during tourism development, the impact of tourism development on the sanctity of the Segara Temple, the actions of Hindus in conserving the sanctity of Segara Temple. This study was designed in the form of a qualitative descriptive study to describe the actions taken to always be able to maintain the sanctity of the temple during the rapid development of tourism. Based on this research, it was found that the challenge of Hindus in preserving the existence of the Segara Temple was the tendency for a decline in the sanctity of the temple due to the tourists visiting the temple area whose condition of the temple and tourism development distance to the Segara Temple began to be violated. The impact of tourism development on the sanctity of the Segara Temple in a positive dimension helps to finance temple activities, both the preservation of temples and the implementation of Hindu ceremonies. The negative impact is a decrease in the level of sanctity of the temple, especially tourists visiting the temple in a state of cuntaka (Unholy conditions oThe actions of Hindus in conserving the sanctity of Pura Segara through awareness of Hindus to always maintain the sanctity of the temple in all its activities, set limits on the sanctity of the temple area, communicate with tourism actors related to the sanctity of the temple, and convey to the relevant parties to respect Hindu religious ceremony activities.

Abstract

This research departs from the need to strengthen the Hindu early childhood education curriculum, which is not only oriented to academic achievements but also to character formation, spirituality, social concern, and ecological awareness. This article aims to conceptually analyze the integration of the Five Loves in the Love-Based Curriculum in Pratama Widyalaya. The Five Loves include Love for God, Love for Knowledge, Love for the Environment, Love for Self and Fellow Humans, and Love for the Homeland. This study uses a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis. The sources of the study include love-based curriculum documents and Widyalaya regulations, as well as scientific articles related to character education, humanistic education, Hindu education, and early childhood education. The conceptual hypothesis of this study states that the integration of Panca Cinta can strengthen early childhood character education if these values are translated into learning objectives, play experiences, daily habits, educational unit culture, and evaluation of child development. The results of the study show that Panca Cinta serves as an integrative framework that brings together general education, Hindu distinctiveness, character education, and humanistic approaches. The contribution of this article lies in the preparation of a conceptual model of Panca Cinta integration that is specific to Pratama Widyalaya. These findings are important as the basis for the development of a religious, humanist, ecological, inclusive, and contextual Hindu early childhood curriculum.
