Abstract

Novel Lelaki Harimau karya Eka Kurniawan merupakan novel yang sangat menarik karena dipenuhi dengan konflik dan intrik yang dibawakan begitu apik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik batin tokoh utama dalam novel Lelaki Harimau karya Eka Kurniawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang ada di dalam novel Lelaki Harimau karya Eka Kurniawan. Sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Lelaki Harimau karya Eka Kurniawan yang diterbitkan oleh Gramedia Pustaka Utama pada tahun 2019 (cetakan kesepuluh). Sedangkan, sumber data sekunder yang digunakan yaitu buku, jurnal, artikel, dan berbagai sumber data lain yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik baca catat, studi pustaka, dan teknik analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Lelaki Harimau karya Eka Kurniawan terdapat konflik batin yang dialami oleh tokoh utama, yaitu Margio yang diwujudkan dalam id, ego, dan superego.

Abstract

This article critically examines the news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the press. This article tries to examine how the COVID-19 news is used for political and ideological purposes. To achieve this goal, an analysis was carried out on the Kompas.com Online Media newspaper on 11 June 2020 and 05 September 2020. The Van Dijk news scheme framework is used to analyze reports selected from selected topics of Covid 19. Van Dijk's news scheme is very important to analyze every news (report) whether the news is taken from news channels or newspapers and whether broadcast or printed. Based on data analysis, the article found that COVID-19 news had been politicized and used for ideological purposes. The article recommends that a pandemic should not be politicized by either the media or any party, but we must work together so that the government and media personnel are able to work effectively and deal with this long-running pandemic.

Abstract

Permendikbud No. 66/2013 concerning assessment standards explains that the assessment techniques and instruments used in the 2013 Curriculum include competency assessment of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. This means that learning and assessment must develop students' competencies related to the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. Assessment of the affective domain is important because assessing the affective domain must be carried out in learning activities. The education unit needs to design and develop an appropriate affective domain assessment to achieve optimal learning objectives. In this study, the affective domain rating scale uses skills assessment using a Likert scale. Think Talk Write is a learning model that can improve activity and communication among students. Ngalimun argues that the Think Talk Write learning model is a type of learning model that starts with thinking through the reading material, communicated with presentations, discussions, and then reports on the presentation results.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and interpret the values of character education in a folklore entitled Abu Nawir. Character education is an effort to help the growth and development of the inner and outer souls of the younger generation from their innate characteristics towards a society full of compassion. Reflections of character education values contained in folklore are used as "train carriages" that can lead the younger generation of Indonesia to a better future. Today, there are many cases of moral decline. This is because the younger generation is unable to filter the negative influence of social media in the current technological era. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. This study uses research data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. The data source in this study comes from the Abu Nawir story text. The reading and note-taking technique is the data collection technique used. The interactive technique is the data analysis technique used, namely reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study show that there are nine values of character education, namely discipline, hard work, democracy, independence, curiosity, social concern, friendship or communicative, love of peace, and responsibility.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Improving the quality of learning requires educators to adapt to innovative approaches, one of which is through gamification. This article aims to describe the implementation of gamification training for teachers in three schools (SMP N 1, 2, and 3 Batang Gasan) in Padang Pariaman Regency and analyze its impact on understanding, enthusiasm, perceptions of effectiveness, and the practice of applying gamification. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with 15 teachers as participants. The instrument, in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire, measured four main aspects, supplemented by an evaluation of training satisfaction. The four variables measured were understanding of gamification (scale 0–100), enthusiasm for innovation (scale 1–5), perception of the effectiveness of gamification (scale 1–5), and frequency of application of gamification techniques (scale 1–5). The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using a paired t-test. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in all variables. The gamification understanding score increased from 58.7 ± 6.4 to 84.5 ± 5.8 (t=12.37; p<0.001). Enthusiasm for innovation rose from 3.2 ± 0.7 to 4.6 ± 0.5 (t=10.12; p<0.001), perception of gamification effectiveness from 3.4 ± 0.6 to 4.5 ± 0.4 (t=9.64; p<0.001), and frequency of gamification application from 2.1 ± 0.8 to 3.9 ± 0.6 (t=8.88; p<0.001).  This improvement indicates that the training provided was successful in strengthening the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of teachers related to the use of gamification in learning. Keywords: Gamification, Teacher Training, Pretest-Posttest, Learning Innovation, Learning Effectiveness   ABSTRAK Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran menuntut tenaga pendidik untuk beradaptasi dengan pendekatan inovatif, salah satunya melalui gamifikasi. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi pelatihan gamifikasi bagi guru di tiga sekolah (SMP N 1, 2, dan 3 Batang Gasan) Kabupaten Padang Pariaman serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap pemahaman, antusiasme, persepsi efektivitas, dan praktik penerapan gamifikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest dengan 15 guru sebagai peserta. Instrumen berupa angket skala Likert mengukur empat aspek utama, dilengkapi evaluasi kepuasan pelatihan. Empat variabel yang diukur adalah pemahaman gamifikasi (skala 0–100), antusiasme terhadap inovasi (skala 1–5), persepsi efektivitas gamifikasi (skala 1–5), dan frekuensi penerapan teknik gamifikasi (skala 1–5). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji paired t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada seluruh variabel. Skor pemahaman gamifikasi meningkat dari 58,7 ± 6,4 menjadi 84,5 ± 5,8 (t=12,37; p<0,001). Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged the integration of media and digital literacy into classroom practice so that students are able to access, analyze, evaluate, manage, and create information critically and responsibly. Responding to this need, this study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Multiliteracy Integrative Learning (MULGRANING) model assisted by Google Classroom in improving students’ media and digital literacy within scientific text learning. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method involving 68 grade XI students from two public high schools in Padang City as participants. Data were collected using an expert-validated observation sheet that systematically assessed students’ literacy performances during the learning process, covering indicators of information access, evaluation, management, and utilization. The descriptive analysis revealed varied literacy tendencies among students, with 38.24% categorized as high, 44.12% moderate, and 17.64% low. These findings demonstrated that the implementation of the MULGRANING model effectively supported the development of media and digital literacy, particularly in indicators related to accessing, selecting, and critically evaluating digital information. However, the aspects of information management and utilization were still predominantly in the moderate category, suggesting that students require further guidance in organizing information and applying it to solve problems or produce scientific work. Overall, this study provides empirical evidence regarding the potential of technology-assisted learning models to strengthen students' media and digital literacy competencies. These findings highlight the importance of integrating digital platforms to create more innovative and relevant learning environments.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk keterampilan berbahasa, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai karakter siswa. Salah satu nilai karakter yang relevan untuk diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran adalah kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Pendekatan ecopedagogy hadir sebagai upaya mengintergrasikan pendidikan lingkungan kedalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh integrasi nilai kepedulian lingkungan melalui ecopedagogy dalam pembelajaran teks laporan hasil observasi. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain two gruop experiment-control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik Purposive Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes unjuk kerja. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa skor dari hasil tes unjuk kerja menulis teks laporan hasil observasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh tanpa dan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh 3 kesimpulan sebagai berikut. Pertama, kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran memperoleh nilai rata-rata 55,33 yaitu berada pada tingkat penguasaan 46-55% pada kualifikasi Hampir Cukup (HC). Kedua, kemampuan menggunakan model pembelajaran memperoleh nilai rata-rata 76,58 yaitu berada pada tingkat penguasaan 76-85% pada kualifikasi Baik (B). Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap model pembelajaran project based learning berbasis ecopedagogy siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh. Karena thitung  > ttabel (5,48>2,001). Model pembelajaran project based learning berbasis ecopedagogy secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil obervasi.

Abstract

This study has the following objectives. First, to describe the planning for implementing the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. Second, to describe the implementation of the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. Third, to describe the evaluation of the implementation of the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The results indicate that: First, the planning for implementing the GI Cooperative Learning Model in writing poetry texts for eighth-grade students at UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal is optimal. The teacher has determined the learning topic and subtopics, compiled a module containing the syntax of the GI Cooperative Learning Model, created an assessment rubric, prepared learning media, and teaching materials. Second, the implementation of the GI Type Cooperative learning model in writing poetry texts for class VIII students of UPT SMP N 1 Pancung Soal has been carried out by the implementing teacher. Third, the evaluation of learning skills in writing poetry texts using process and outcome evaluation with assessment and observation rubrics, found that the implementation process was in accordance with the planning. Thus, it can be concluded that students' poetry writing skills have been at a good category level in accordance with the rules for writing good and correct poetry texts.

Abstract

Various research results conclude that reading skills of narrative texts such as expository texts are low in conventional learning that is closely tied to textbooks in high school. The main causal factor is believed to be the use of learning models that are closely tied to textbooks published by the state in annual units. The collaborative strategic reading model is believed to be interesting in learning reading skills. This study aims to describe: 1) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills using conventional models in Indonesian textbooks in the control class; 2) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills using the collaborative strategic reading model through special teaching materials in the treatment class; 3) the effect of the collaborative strategic reading model in learning expository text reading skills. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2026/2026 academic year at SMA Negeri 2 Batang Anai. This study used a quantitative approach with a posttest only control group experimental design. The study population was 67 grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Batang Anai who were divided into two parallel classes. The research instrument was an objective test of expository text reading skills. The sample was determined as 65 students; 32 students in the control group and 33 students in the treatment group. The research data were analyzed using one-sample t-test and paired-sample t-test. The results of the study: 1) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills in the control class were in the medium category; 2) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills for the treatment group were in the high category; 3) the collaborative strategic reading model had a positive effect on expository text reading skills.
