Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the maximal role of parents in distance learning related to the learning saturation of elementary school children at SDN Tanggul Wetan 2, of which the implementation is due to the emergency period of Corona Virus disease (Covid-19) which hit Indonesia today that has an impact on all learning activities in the school is diverted with distance learning from their homes. The writing of this article is based on a mini-research on maximizing the role of parents in overcoming the saturation of learning the basic child education level at SDN Tanggul Wetan 2, Jember. related to the implementation of distance learning. The study used a qualitative approach using the type of analysis study design. This study uses interview data collection techniques and document studies. Validity of data using credibility. Then analyzed critically by using theories about parental roles and children learning saturation. Results of the study: first, the role of parents in distance learning is as ' a substitute for school teachers ', facilitators and motivators. Second, the learning saturation factors in the child of SDN Tanggul Wetan 2: Lack of communication with peers, methods, places and a monotonous learning atmosphere, lack of activity outdoors, mental tension while learning. Third, to overcome child learning saturation during distance learning, parents maximize their role as: (1) Educators, ' teacher substitutes ', by: accompanying the children while studying, guiding and directing to prepare for learning activities, praying together before and after learning, evaluating children's assignments before being sent to school teachers, playing together, acting as peers, (2) facilitators by: Providing mobile phones, books, computer/laptop for parents who are financially able to, change the physical study room, invite children to study in another room, home porch, occasionally invite children to wear school uniforms while studying, providing Internet access, providing a television-based learning media (TVRI), (3) motivator, by the way: encouraging the tasks of the school, giving praise to the children after successfully working on the tasks of the school teacher, giving the award, invite the child to always pray that the disaster is soon passed and can study in the school as usual.

Abstract

Abstract Forming a religious experience in early childhood means embedding religious roots in them. The religious experience that is implanted early, will be able to improve the character, personality and moral of the child. One of the efforts to develop religious and moral values of early childhood in the physical distancing is through the collaboration of teachers and parents. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach in TK Al-Hidayah Purworejo, Lumajang. Data collected by interview techniques and document studies using WhatsApp (phone, chat, voice note) and polls using Google forms. The data was analyzed by the analysis of the Miles and Huberman models and the validity test of data using the triangulation of the source and method, discussion with peers, using references. The results of this research that religious and moral values developed in children or students of TK al-Hidayah include: Know the religion that is embraced, work on worship, behave honestly, helper, responsibilities, maintain self-hygiene and the environment. To develop these values, the form of collaboration that teachers and parents use is a partnership or shared responsibilities model that emphasizes the coordination and cooperation of schools and families to develop communication and collaboration. Some forms of collaborative activities include building a relationship and communication with two-way applications based on WhatsApp Group (WAG), teachers provide daily assignments for children during the study at home, teachers give instructions for learning based television Republic of Indonesia (TVRI), learning the sheet based Activities Ramadan. Parents strive to accompany each and every activity and report the children's learning outcomes to the teachers.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilakukan untuk membekali para santri penghafal al-Qur’an di Pesantren Ibnu Sholeh Jatiroto Lumajang terkait wawasan moderasi beragama. Pengabdian ini bertujuan agar para santri tidak hanya mahir dalam membaca dan menghafal Al-Qur'an, tetapi juga mereka memiliki kepribadian yang inklusif dan multikultural. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu partisipatori, koneksi, pemberdayaan. Hasil: Tim pendamping memberikan materi berkaitan dengan moderasi beragama disesuaikan dengan tingkat daya faham para santri. Materi ringan namun mengena diberikan kepada para peserta dampingan, seperti tentang pentingnya menghargai pendirian dan pendapat orang lain dan tidak menyalahkan jika pendapatnya berbeda dengan kita. Hal ini dikaitkan dengan surat Al-Hujurat ayat 11 – 13 yakni setiap manusia dilarang saling mengolok-ngolok, bergunjing, berburuk sangka serta mencari-cari kesalahan orang lain. Karena kita hidup sebagai makhluk sosial yang tidak bisa hidup sendiri dan membutuhkan bantuan orang lain, maka harus saling menghargai satu sama lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Program Adiwiyata di SMP Negeri 1 Panti dan dikaji dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an dan Hadis serta prinsip fikih bi’ah menurut KH. Ali Yafie. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman serta diuji validitasnya melalui triangulasi dan diskusi sejawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Adiwiyata di sekolah bukan sekadar pelestarian lingkungan, tetapi juga wujud nyata penerapan nilai-nilai Islam yang bersumber dari Al-Qur’an, Hadis, dan prinsip fikih lingkungan (Fiqh Bī’ah). Kegiatan seperti menjaga kebersihan, memilah sampah, hemat air, hingga aksi “Resik-Resik” mencerminkan prinsip Hifdz al-Nafs dan khalifah, yaitu menjaga keselamatan manusia dan tanggung jawab sebagai pemimpin bumi. Melalui dalil-dalil agama, siswa diajak menyadari bahwa merawat alam adalah bagian dari ibadah yang akan dipertanggungjawabkan. Nilai seperti amanah, kerja sama, anti-pemborosan, dan kepedulian terhadap makhluk hidup ditanamkan sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter yang berlandaskan lingkungan dan spiritualitas Islam. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program at State Junior High School 1 Panti through the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as the principles of Islamic environmental jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Bī’ah) according to KH. Ali Yafie. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model with triangulation and peer discussion to ensure validity. The findings reveal that The Adiwiyata program in schools is not merely about environmental preservation; it is a practical implementation of Islamic values derived from the Qur’an, Hadith, and the principles of Islamic environmental jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Bī’ah). Activities such as maintaining cleanliness, waste sorting, water conservation, and community clean-up efforts like “Resik-Resik” reflect the principles of Hifdz al-Nafs (protection of life) and Khilafah (human stewardship over the earth). Through Qur’anic and Prophetic guidance, students are made aware that caring for the environment is not only an ecological responsibility but also an act of worship with consequences in the Hereafter. Values such as trust (amanah), cooperation (ta’awun), avoiding waste, and respect for all living beings are instilled as part of character education rooted in environmental ethics and Islamic spirituality.

Abstract

This study aim to enhance critical thinking skills among Grade VII C students at State Junior High School Lumajang 2 during the 2023/2024 academic year through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The subject was about environmental diversity, encompassing subtopics such as environmental comprehension, advocacy for preservation practices, sustainable development, and resource scarcity. The study was carried out in three cycles involving 32 students, with every cycle comprising two sessions. Data was gathered via questionnaires and processed with SPSS, assuring both validity and reliability. Descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, and validity and reliability tests were employed to analyze the data. The findings indicated advancements in students' critical thinking skills: Cycle I recorded scores of 68.75% in the first session and 81.25% in the second session. Cycle II recorded scores of 87,5% in the first session and 62.5% in the second session. Cycle III demonstrated improvements, with scores of 90.62% in the first session and 87.5% in the second session. The research determined that PBL effectively improved students' critical thinking skills.
