Abstract

The teaching of balaghah in the department of Arabic language education in private Islamic tertiary institutions with different quality, student input and geographical location from the department of Arabic language education in public Islamic tertiary institutions is a challenge in itself because learning balaghah cannot be separated from the science of Arabic, especially nahwu and sharaf to minimise learning difficulties and facilitate understanding. This study aims to discuss more deeply the problems of teaching balaghah in the Arabic language education department atSTAI Nurul Iman Parung, Bogor. By using a qualitative approach, and data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study concluded that there are several main problems in teaching balaghah in the Arabic Language Education Study Programme of STAI Nurul Iman Parung, Bogor. Some of the factors that contribute to this problem are the heterogeneity of students' educational background, low motivation to learn, ineffective teaching methods, and lack of library resources. Therefore, improvements in teaching approach, selection of more effective methods, and increased access to relevant literature sources are needed to improve the quality of balaghah teaching in the study programme.

Abstract

Asbabun Nuzul refers to the reasons for the revelation of the verses of the Koran, which are important to understand in interpreting the holy text. This article reviews the meaning of this concept based on the views of classical and contemporary scholars, providing a deeper understanding of the interpretation of the Qur'an. Apart from that, this article discusses the urgency and function of Asbabun Nuzul in the context of interpreting the Al-Qur'an. Asbabun Nuzul helps in exploring the wisdom of legal law, specializing law, and ascertaining the meaning of Al-Qur'an verses, thus playing an important role in the application and interpretation of sacred texts for Muslims.

Abstract

This article discusses the meaning of ukhuwah in the Qur'an through a comparative study approach between the tafsir of Ibn Katsir and the tafsir of Al-Munir. The main focus of this research is to identify the views of each interpretation on the concept of ukhuwah in the context of the Qur'an. The method used is a comparative analysis of the verses of the Qur'an that directly or indirectly discuss the theme of ukhuwah, with reference to the interpretation of Ibn Katsir and Al-Munir. The results of the study show that the two interpretations have different approaches in explaining the meaning of ukhuwah. The tafsir of Ibn Katsir tends to emphasize the aspects of brotherhood and unity of the ummah in a broader context, while the tafsir of Al-Munir emphasizes more on the dimensions of togetherness, mutual help, and harmony in the Muslim community. In conclusion, although there are differences in approaches in explaining ukhuwah, the two interpretations provide a deep understanding of the importance of solidarity and good relations between fellow Muslims in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the concept of ukhuwah in different perspectives of Qur'an interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of task division and supervision on the quality of educational services at the Hudatul Falah Foundation, Ciseeng, Bogor Regency. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational method, this study involved all teachers at the foundation, with a sample size of 60 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured three main variables: task division, supervision, and quality of educational services. The results of the regression analysis showed that task division had a significant effect on service quality with a correlation coefficient of 0.859 and a determination coefficient of 0.738. Supervision also had a significant effect with a correlation coefficient of 0.740 and a determination coefficient of 0.548. The combination of the two showed a very strong effect on service quality, with a correlation coefficient of 0.881 and a determination coefficient of 0.776. These findings indicate that clear management of task division and effective supervision can improve the quality of educational services, making a positive contribution to the management of education in other educational institutions

Abstract

The study of balāghah, particularly the subject of tasybīh, plays an important role in developing advanced Arabic text analysis skills. However, sixth-semester PBA students at STAI Nurul Iman Parung, Bogor, still face various difficulties in understanding the concept of tasybīh, both in terms of its elements and its application in the Qur'an and Arabic literature. This condition has an impact on the students' limited ability to grasp the implicit meaning and rhetorical dimensions of the Arabic language. This study aims to describe the difficulties experienced by students in understanding tasybīh, analyse the contributing factors, and formulate appropriate learning strategies to improve their stylistic analysis skills. The research focuses on the relationship between conceptual mastery, linguistic ability, and pedagogical approaches applied in balāghah lectures. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with 32 male sixth-semester PBA students as subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, open and closed questionnaires, and learning document studies. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and verified through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that students experienced difficulties in understanding the elements of tasybīh, classifying its types, and analysing its functions in texts. These difficulties were influenced by limited vocabulary, the complexity of Arabic sentence structure, and a learning approach that was still oriented towards memorising theory. This study recommends text-based learning, a task-based approach, and the gradual application of conceptual scaffolding so that students are able to understand tasybīh in an applied manner. These findings are expected to strengthen the development of balāghah pedagogy in Arabic Language Education in higher education.
