Abstract

The introduction and utilization of local cultural wisdom from an early age are important for children's development, especially amidst challenges in early childhood education such as limited resources and lack of interest in formal learning. This study aimed to implement Loose Part learning with local wisdom at KB Mutiara Karanggondang. The results showed high levels of enthusiasm among children towards Loose Part play, demonstrating the potential of this approach in effectively facilitating early childhood development. Integrating local wisdom into learning not only enhances children's engagement but also strengthens their identity with local culture. This research also highlights the importance of culturally relevant teaching methods in the context of early childhood education, which not only enhances learning experiences but also enriches local values in their education. Thus, this study provides a substantial contribution to improving sustainable educational approaches. By combining pedagogical innovation and local cultural wisdom, early childhood education can become more relevant, enjoyable, and significantly beneficial for children's holistic development.

Abstract

Abstrak. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini, dampak globalisasi adalah menurunnya sikap dan kesadaran nasionalisme di kalangan generasi warga negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode bercerita dan media loose part dalam mengembangkan pemahaman nasionalisme pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengembangkan pemahaman nasionalisme pada anak usia dini. Penggunaan metode bercerita dan media lepas dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif dan menghibur dalam mengembangkan pemahaman nasionalisme pada anak usia dini di TK Negeri Pembina Bangsri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cara ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman anak terhadap nilai-nilai kebangsaan, menciptakan ikatan emosional yang kuat dengan tanah air. Analisis kesenjangan dari penelitian ini memberikan dukungan empiris terhadap integrasi metode bercerita dengan media loose part sebagai pendekatan yang berpotensi positif dalam membentuk karakter nasionalis pada anak usia dini. Implikasi penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya mempertimbangkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan berbasis pengalaman untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan nilai-nilai kebangsaan agar dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci : metode bercerita, loose part, nasionalisme

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low science learning outcomes of class IV MI Gedangk students. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the thematic integrative application of science and technology in class IV students of MI Gedanganak, East Ungaran District, Semarang Regency. The type of research used is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The research was conducted from 4 to 10 January 2023 at MI Gedanganak. Data collection techniques in this study are by observation and tests. Observations are to measure teacher skills, while tests are to measure science learning outcomes with the application of integrative thematics at MI Gedanganak. Data analysis used quantitative data analysis to process learning outcomes and qualitative analysis to process teacher skills data. The results of the acquisition in cycle I obtained mastery learning in a classical manner of 52.8% with details of 19 students out of 36 students who had achieved the specified KKTP score for the IPAS subject, which was 75 with a classical 75%. The learning outcomes of the first cycle have not reached the specified indicators of success, so that the research has not been successful. In cycle II by paying attention to the reflection of cycle II, the learning process was improved. So that the science learning outcomes experienced an increase compared to cycle II, namely classical completeness was obtained which became 91.7% with details of 33 students out of 36 students. So that in cycle II it was declared successful because it met the criteria for research success with classical KKTP of 75%.Keywords: science learning outcomes, integrative thematic
