Abstract

In today's digital era, social media in particular, allows us to get and share informations very quickly. Not only information but also entertainment needs that we can get from various countries, K-pop is one of them. K-pop is currently spread in almost the entire global music world, there are many fans from all over the wolrd. This phenomenon, which is usually called the Korean Wave, has finally resulted in an online-based fan community whose members like K-pop, or commonly called K-Pop Fandom or K-Pop Stan. This study aims to determine the characteristics of K-pop fandom on social media in supporting their idols and how they interact with other fans or with their favorite idols. As a literature review this study review previous reasearch with a certain set of processes. The results found that social media has a major impact on K-pop fandom starting from how they communicate, identity, happiness, sharing interests, building interpersonal relationships among fans. There, they have an online fandom hierarchy with different fan activities and roles. The way K-pop fandom interacts to get closer to their idols is to become an authentic K-pop fan or have an impact on their lives after getting to know K-pop.

Abstract

News framing has a different meaning for every scholar but the outline of every definition is that news framing helps individuals to understand reality, this reality can be shaped by any kind of information. In this case, the news or mass media is the tool to understand reality. This journal explains to you the recent update on news framing topics with around 40 journals from various publishers being reviewed to discover the trend and the characteristics of news framing topics. The finding from the research is that most of the news framing topic journals used qualitative methodology, moreover, the relation with politics is also one of the strong characteristics of this topic. Another finding from the research is that there is a lot of Asian content related to this topic, the journal being reviewed shows us there is strong popularity in the Asia continent. Even so, there are still many affiliated journals from other countries, but indeed the Asian continent is the biggest contributor. In addition, all the journals from the Asian continent were found to have a lot of political content, so it can be concluded that there are many journals from Asia that also discuss politics.

Abstract

Women's beauty is crucial for women as identification of beauty with interesting things about the desire to meet needs and satisfaction in appearance from a different perspective. This study uses content analysis of a number of articles that will focus on sources of data from Scopus-indexed journals with a focus on discussing women's beauty from various findings that have been published in the SAGE Journals, Taylor & Francis and Wiley database with the main focus of research being critical thinking skills from inclusion and exclusion criteria. Narrative literature reviews the perspective of ideal appearance and understanding of beauty standards as factors for identifying women's beauty. The current study reveals that in the last six years, female beauty has highlighted the perspective of ideal appearance with aspects of the influence of social media exposure on women's behaviour, body dissatisfaction to appearance and body care trends which are dominated by the effects of using social media Instagram. While different understandings influence the perspective of beauty standards in the construction of beauty in the perspective of social interaction, body image to ethnicity and minorities.
