Abstract

This research addresses obstacles to effective English communication, focusing on essential language competencies—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—that are critical in global business. It explores which language skills are most important for international business communication and examines the impact of language proficiency on professional success. The goal of the study is to identify these key competencies for successful global business interactions and to provide insight into which skills professionals should focus on developing. To achieve this, a systematic literature review is conducted, establishing a structured theoretical framework by drawing on findings from previous research. The study concludes that essential language competencies for global business success include verbal communication, writing skills, cross-cultural understanding, listening, and negotiation abilities. Among these, verbal skills in English, as an international language, are especially crucial in settings such as presentations, meetings, and negotiations. Effective verbal communication requires not only mastery of grammar but also the ability to use non-verbal cues, like intonation and body language, to reinforce and clarify messages. These competencies are emphasized as crucial for professionals who wish to excel in the global business landscape, where effective communication can significantly influence outcomes. The findings suggest that developing both language and cultural understanding equips professionals to engage more effectively across linguistic and cultural boundaries, enhancing their ability to negotiate, collaborate, and succeed in diverse business environments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the interrelation between Javanese house architecture, local culture, and the social behavior of the community in Pereng Village, Mojogedang, Karanganyar. The focus lies in understanding how architectural forms reflect cultural values and how residents interpret and utilize spaces within and around their homes. Employing a qualitative approach through direct observation and in-depth interviews, the research utilized semi-structured interview guides as instruments, with data analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings reveal that although traditional architectural forms such as joglo and limasan are rarely found, cultural values are still preserved through spatial usage, social practices like communal work (gotong royong), and visual elements such as wayang figures on rooftops. Houses function not only as dwellings but also as social and cultural spaces that embody the collective identity of the Pereng community

Abstract

Komunikasi nirkabel (wireless) adalah teknologi jaringan data komputer yang menghubungkan perangkat satu dengan yang lainnya tanpa menggunakan kabel sebagai penghantarnya, sehingga teknologi ini banyak digunakan saat ini dikarenakan kemudahan penggunaannya. Teknologi Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) yang akan dibangun sebagai penghantar komunikasi data dengan kemampuan sangat cepat. Sehingga, penerapan jaringan Wi-Fi pada RT/RW Net ini bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang didapat lebih cepat dan akurat, menumbuhkan ekonomi digital, dan juga menjaga keamanan warga dengan menggunakan CCTV online. Dalam implementasi yang akan dilaksanakan pada jaringan RT/RW Net, terdapat beberapa faktor sebagai landasan proses pembangunannya, dan juga metode lainnya yang dilaksanakan untuk pengembangannya. Pada proses pembangunannya, penggunaan Mikrotik sebagai lalu lintas jaringan internet, seperti pembagian dan pemakaian bandwidth internet lebih efisien dan juga sistem keamanan jaringan yang dimiliki oleh mikrotik dapat terfasilitasi dengan baik.  Terdapat beberapa perangkat-perangkat jaringan yang dibutuhkan oleh pengembang yaitu seperti, kabel fiber optik, HTB, access point, mikrotik, hub, switch, router, server, kabel utp dan konektor RJ-45.
