Abstract

Kesiapsiagaan dan pengetahuan tentang penatalaksanaan pertolongan pertama Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) terhadap dampak kecelakaan akan mempengaruhi tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas korban. Oleh karena itu, peran serta masyarakat sangat dibutuhkan dalam mencegah dan menanggulangi dampak yang terjadi dari kejadian kecelakaan lalu lintas. Salah satu permasalahan adalah masih kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menerapkan bantuan hidup dasar sebagai bagian dari pertolongan pertama pada kejadian kecelakaan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan sasaran dalam memahami serta menerapkan manajemen tatalaksana bantuan hidup dasar dan dapat mengaplikasikannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Kegiatan dilakukan di dusun Jodog, Gilangharjo, Pandak Bantul pada 28 Februari – 07 April 2018. Dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 85 % sasaran mampu mengetahui dan memberikan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan. Masyarakat dapat lebih percaya diri untuk senantiasa memberikan pertolangan apabila terjadi kecelakan.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period in the human life span that connects childhood and adulthood. Adolescent girls during puberty have several problems including the development of feminine attitudes, physical changes, menstrual cycle conditions, acne, obesity and even disease. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of teenagers studying at the Umm Jasmine Learning House Bantul Yogyakarta on problems related to menstruation and how to solve them. The method used is in the form of lectures and discussions as well as showing videos about menstruation to stimulate the level of knowledge of adolescents. The results obtained are the level of knowledge of adolescents is in the medium category 45.45% and the level of knowledge is high in the majority that is equal to 54.54%. The majority of adolescent information sources related to menstruation were obtained from mothers as parents by 18.92%, the second highest knowledge came from teachers at schools who provided information related to menstruation by 45.45% and a small proportion of adolescents who received information related to menstruation from the internet by 9.09%. The conclusion in this observation is that there is an increase in the level of knowledge of adolescents after providing education about menstruation.

Abstract

Masalah reproduksi pada remaja masih membutuhkan perhatian yang besar. Ketika remaja putri mengalami menstruasi berarti remaja tersebut memasuki fase pubertas. Dimana ketika mengalami menstruasi ada kondisi tertentu yang menyebabkan masalah selama siklus menstruasi tersebut. Masalah tersebut seringkali terjadi sebelum menstruasi, dimana gejalanya payudara membengkak, puting susu nyeri, mudah tersinggung, kram perut, letih, sakit kepala, perut kembung, sembelit, dan timbul jerawat. Kondisi ini disebut premenstrual syndrome/PMS. PMS adalah kumpulan berbagai gejala fisik, psikologis, dan emosional yang berhubungan dengan adanya perubahan hormonal karena siklus menstruasi. PMS terjadi 70-90% pada wanita usia subur/WUS. Seringkali remaja tidak paham tentang apa yang terjadi selama siklus menstruasi tersebut. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pemberian informasi. dimana pemenuhan informasi yang tepat tentang permasalahan reproduksi belum sepenuhnya mereka dapatkan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari masih rendahnya pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi yaitu tentang masa subur. Pengabdian kesehatan yang akan kami lakukan adalah pemberian informasi tentang pengenalan dan pencegahan Pre Menstrual Syndrome pada remaja putri di SMA Negeri 1 Godean Yogyakarta. Media yang digunakan adalah poster dan penjelasan lewat media pembelajaran online (zoom). Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan skor dari 75,6 menjadi 85,5.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is one of the stiffness or constriction in the lower abdomen that occurs in the run up to menstruation or during menstruation. Dismenorrhea has a huge impact on teenage girls because it causes disturbance of day to day activities. Teenage girls who experience menstrual pain (dismenorrhoea) at the time of menstruation will feel limited in doing activities especially in school activities accompanied by dizziness, nausea, vomiting, fever, even to fainting. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase knowledge related to the prevention and treatment of dysmenorrhea. The target of this community service are the teenagers who lives in the Pondok Pesantren dan Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak (Lksa) Bintan Sa’adillah Ar Rosyid Bantul, as many as 19 respondents. The community service activity will take place in April 2023. The methods used in this research are lecture methods, visual audio and posters. To measure the level of students' knowledge about dysmenorrhea and its treatment using questionnaires. The results showed that the respondents that before health education most of the knowledge of respondents related to knowledge about prevention and treatment of dysmenorrhea in the sufficient category 57.9%, and after given education experienced an improvement in good category of 57,9%. So it can be concluded that there was an increase in respondents' knowledge after having completed health education.

Abstract

Background:  Teenagers who have reached puberty will start having periods. Adolescents with intellectual disabilities will also experience this condition like typical adolescents. Therefore, it is crucial to teach adolescents about menstrual hygiene through health education using snake and ladder media to prevent infection of the reproductive organs. Objective:  To determine how snake and ladder educational media affect adolescents with intellectual disabilities in the SLB Kabupaten Bantul knowledge of menstrual hygiene. Methods:  This study employed a pre-experimental design with One Group Pre Test- Post Test. A total of 30 respondents were sampled using a total sampling technique. Data was collected in June 2022 at SLB PGRI Trimulyo Bantul and SLB Ma'arif Bantul. A questionnaire on the level of knowledge of menstrual hygiene for adolescents with intellectual disabilities and educational media for snakes and ladders were used as research instruments. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to analyze the study's findings. Results:  The findings revealed that prior to receiving an education using snakes and ladders, participants had good knowledge (6.7%), sufficient knowledge (33.3%), and insufficient knowledge (60%). Following education with snakes and ladders, knowledge increased to good (46.7%), sufficient (50.0%), and insufficient (1.9%). The data was strengthened by the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test results, which yielded a value of p = 0.001. Conclusion:  Educational media on snakes and ladders affects knowledge of menstrual hygiene in adolescents with intellectual disabilities in SLB Kabupaten Bantul. It is hoped that adolescents can continue to increase their knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene by seeking information sources from schools and health workers.

Abstract

Background: Conformity is an activity of imitating someone's actions that are positive or negative to change behavior and affect the beliefs of others so that they do the same thing. The desire for conformity can cause adolescents to engage in deviant behavior such as premarital sexual behavior. Objective: This research aims to find out the correlation between peer conformity and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak. Methodology: This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive-analytic design using a cross-sectional approach. The population in this research was 285 students of class X and XI while the sample was 57 respondents selected using a proportionate stratified sampling. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak, Sleman in April 2023. The measuring tools used were the peer conformity questionnaire and the premarital sexual behavior questionnaire. The bivariate data processing was done using the Spearman rho test. Results: The analysis results show that 49.1% of peer conformity that mostly occurs are in the high category while 94.7% of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents is included in the not at-risk category. The analysis of the Spearman rho test of peer conformity with premarital sexual behavior in adolescents shows a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.436. There is a significant correlation between peer conformity and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak. Conclusion: There is a correlation between peer conformity and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak.

Abstract

Background: Adolescent who experience puberty in their bodies appear sex hormones that begin to work, resulting in a sense of attraction to the opposite sex. Premarital sex is a behavior that is carried out based on sexual desire in adolescents. Adolescent knowledge and sources of information received by adolescents are important points in efforts to prevent premarital sexual behavior. The preventive efforts can be done by providing education about the right information through various methods and media. One of them is education using flashcard media. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education on premarital sexual behavior using flashcard media. Methods: This study design was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post test design with control group. The number of samples were 60 which were divided into two groups and the inclusion criteria being adolescents aged 15-17 years and were or had been dating. The intervention group received treatment in the form of pre-marital sexual behavior education with flashcard media. The control group received pre-marital sexual behavior education using the lecture method. Before and after the intervention, researchers conducted a pretest and posttest using a pre-marital sexual behavior questionnaire and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: There was a difference in the average score of premarital sexual behavior in the intervention group after receiving flashcard education intervention with p value = 0.010 (p <0.05). Conclusion: Education using flashcard affects premarital sexual behavior in adolescents. Preventive and promotive efforts of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents using flashcard media are an alternative for nurses in providing counseling.
