This research objective examines the prevalence level, self-regulation, self-efficacy, and psychological well-being among Salahaddin University undergraduate students in Kurdistan. Quota sampling was used in the study, and 407 respondents were chosen for it. Descriptively, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis approaches were applied. The research showed a low level of self-regulation and self-efficacy among the sample students. However, psychological well-being was found to be high. The study also found that self-regulation, self-efficacy, and psychological well-being are positively correlated and statistically significant. This study concluded that self-regulation was the only factor influencing psychological well-being. Therefore, this research recommends emphasizing students' self-regulation to enhance their well-being.

Abstract

Therapeutic intervention on drug addiction with a spirituality approach is interesting to pursue since many studies have produced various results. The focus of this study is on psycho-spiritual problems on individuals who had experienced drug addiction. The problems are loss of awareness and mind, physical and mental weakness, anti-social behaviors and problems in the school. Thus, a more in-depth study of the role of spirituality on this problem in increasing mentality, conscious mind and behaviors as a normal personality. To accomplish this, the researchers explored four individuals who had recovered from an addiction and had undergone Islamic therapeutic intervention at Inabah Centre in Tasikmalaya and Madani Health Care in Jakarta, Indonesia. The findings revealed that they gained enlightenment and consciousness, were reflective and regretful, had self-confidence and were persistent in doing good deeds after going through the recovery process. All aspects of the findings were generated into four themes, namely reflection feeling (RF), insight awareness (IA), expression attitude (EA), and brightness image (BI). Some aspects of psycho-spiritual from Islamic perspective were also explained in the discussion to make it a valuable force in preventing, treating and handling the addiction in society.

Abstract

The Indonesian Ministry of Education has implemented a new curriculum, the Merdeka curriculum. This new curriculum emphasizes student-centered teaching and learning activities. However, problems and issues in the teaching of Psychology, Pedagogy, and Pancasila continue and are consistent. This study aims to explore teachers' understanding of methods and experiences in learning how to improve students' humanistic values based on Pancasila, and linked to the Merdeka curriculum. This is qualitative research. Case studies were conducted using participant observers and investigators. A total of 6 informants were selected by purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 2 Psychology teachers (counseling), 2 PPKN teachers (Pancasila), and 2 pedagogy teachers. Data were obtained through interviews, classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The findings show that teachers have a very good understanding of the concept of differentiation in the Merdeka curriculum; however, teachers experience obstacles and difficulties in their practice and in implementing Pancasila values because the independent curriculum implemented does not influence students' attitudes toward these humanistic values. Therefore, this study suggests that teachers' teaching methods and strategies for learning students' Humanistic values need to be improved and fully supported by schools.
