Abstract

This study examines the role of the concept of Shiddiq and religiosity in the management of coffee plantation agriculture in Tiris District, Probolinggo. While coffee farming practices in Indonesia generally still rely on conventional methods, this research identifies a gap in studies linking religiosity values, particularly Shiddiq, with agricultural sustainability. The aim of this study is to understand how the concept of Shiddiq is applied by coffee farmers in their agricultural practices and its impact on sustainability and social welfare. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews and observations with farmers in Segaran Village. The findings show that the value of Shiddiq supports the implementation of organic farming and sustainable natural resource management, which contributes to improved soil quality and crop yields, while also preserving the environment. This study suggests that the integration of religiosity values into agricultural management can serve as an effective model for environmentally friendly and sustainable farming practices.

Abstract

The main issue in mosque maintenance is the need for funding. In Lumajang, several areas in Jatiroto subdistrict and its surroundings frequently conduct fundraising on the highways to expedite the construction or rehabilitation of mosques. Another alternative is to obtain operational assistance from the government by integrating or registering with SIMAS. Optimizing SIMAS is important to support the management and dissemination of mosque-related information. The focus of the research is: 1) How does the Islamic Guidance Section optimize SIMAS? 2) How is the effectiveness of mosque data collection improved at the Lumajang Office of Religious Affairs? This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive research type. The research subjects are selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques follow the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity is ensured using source and technique triangulation. The results of this study are as follows: In optimizing SIMAS, 1) The Islamic Guidance Section synergizes with the Village Government, KUA, and DMI. 2) Provides accurate and easily accessible mosque information to the public. 3) Offers friendly and informative services. There has been an increase in the effectiveness of mosque or prayer room data collection. As of May 2023, approximately 1,382 mosques and around 3,422 prayer rooms in Lumajang have been recorded in SIMAS, complete with addresses, land area, building area, Google Maps locations, and the number of mosque staff.

Abstract

The implementation of Hajj is regulated by Law No. 8 of 2019 concerning the organization of Hajj and Umrah. The Ministry of Religious Affairs, as the institution responsible for managing and organizing Hajj and Umrah, faces challenges regarding the issuance of release permits. Jember Regency ranks among the highest in terms of Hajj cancellations. The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) Strategic management in addressing Hajj cancellation cases at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Jember Regency, 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors in handling Hajj cancellation cases. This research adopts a qualitative approach, presented descriptively. The conclusions drawn from this study are as follows: The strategic management applied by the Hajj Management Unit (PHU) in addressing Hajj cancellations includes conducting educational programs for pilgrims, collaborating with KBIHU (Hajj and Umrah Guidance Institutions), KUA (Office of Religious Affairs), and socializing both directly at the location or through social media and Sharia Banks. The supporting factor in implementing strategic management to address cancellations is the cooperation between external and internal parties in the process of handling cancellations at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Jember Regency. The inhibiting factors include miscommunication with prospective pilgrims and the involvement of certain travel agents who exploit the Hajj cancellation process to attract pilgrims, enticing them to perform Umrah instead.

Abstract

The issue of religious moderation in Indonesia is a critical concern amidst global challenges such as extremism and horizontal religious conflicts, as well as local dynamics like the influence of diverse religio-cultural norms. This study aims to analyze: (1) the social construction of religious moderation through Berger and Luckmann's theory, and (2) the role of religious communication in reinforcing moderation values. A library research method was employed, using qualitative analysis of selected literature (journals, books, policy documents) from credible databases. The findings reveal that religious moderation is constructed dialectically through externalization (values created), objectivation (values institutionalized), and internalization (values adopted by individuals), with religion as a dynamic social product. Religious communication—through education, digital media, and state policies—plays a strategic role in disseminating inclusive narratives, such as the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs' programs integrating wasathiyyah (balance) into curricula and media content. Key findings emphasize that religious moderation is most effective when built through participatory interaction (not top-down) and contextual adaptation, supported by Indonesia's legal framework and multiculturalism. This study contributes to strengthening discourse on moderation based on social constructivism and transformative communication practices.

Abstract

Kata Kunci :Optimalisasi; Marketplace; Penjualan Gula Aren Banjar village is a village located in the slippery District of Banyuwangi Regency. Banjar village has an area of 82946 Ha and a population of 2,917 inhabitants. Banjar village has four hamlets consisting of krajan, Salakan, Putuk, and Rembang Hamlets. Banjar is a village where the majority of the population works as farmers. Banjar village has considerable potential ranging from MSME activities such as utek coffee, and palm sugar production. One of the hamlets in Banjar village, Rembang Hamlet, produces palm sugar as a business managed directly by the local community. So, the business is still very simple because the lack of equipment used has an impact on the less optimal production process. Also, the process of selling palm sugar is still not reachable by people outside the region because simple marketing is only deposited in the nearest stores or making palm sugar if there is an order, so the production of palm sugar has not developed. Therefore, this increasingly sophisticated era of the use of marketplaces or online market platforms is an effort to increase sales of palm sugar production. This Marketplace is managed and assisted by members of the youth so that it can make it easier for people who want to sell their products. The research shows that to increase economic growth in the village, there needs to be a new breakthrough by using the marketplace as a forum for people to promote and sell palm sugar so that it can be known by the general public. The maximum management is expected to increase economic growth in the village of Banjar, the slippery Sub-District of Banyuwangi. Keywords: Optimization; Marketplace; Palm Sugar Sales on
