Abstract

The research study aims to identify and describe: (1) the effect of implementing learning strategies on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education students at SMP Negeri 4 Medan, (2) the influence of learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education students at SMP Negeri 4 Medan, and (3) interaction. between learning strategies and learning motivation on learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education students of SMP Negeri 4 Medan. The population was all students of class VII SMPN 4 Medan consisting of 11 classes. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data collection instruments were questionnaires and tests. Testing for normality using Liliefors and homogeneity testing using Fisher and Bartlett. The data analysis technique is a two-way analysis of variance at α = 0.05 .The results showed: (1) there is an effect of the application of learning strategies on learning outcomes of learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education, this is evident from the results of statistical tests which show Fcount = 4.35 > Ftable 3.96, (2) there is an effect of learning motivation on the results. learning Islamic Religious Education, this is evident from statistical testing which shows Fcount = 5.14 > Ftable 3.96, and (3) there is an interaction between learning strategies and learning motivation, this is evident from statistical testing which shows Fcount = 104.36 > Ftable 3,96.

Abstract

Storytelling  has become a significant approach in Indonesian language learning, focusing on developing students' speaking skills. In this context, research and literature analysis show that storytelling  is not just a tool for delivering stories but also an effective means of training students to communicate effectively. The various benefits of using storytelling  methods in the context of Indonesian language learning. These findings indicate that storytelling  methods can improve students' speaking abilities in various ways, including improving vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, increasing emotional engagement, dynamic interaction between teachers and students, developing critical and creative thinking, and boosting students' confidence. Therefore, implementing storytelling  methods in Indonesian language learning is an important and beneficial step in developing students' speaking skills comprehensively. This underscores the importance of innovative approaches and student-oriented experiences in improving language learning outcomes. Thus, further research and practice in using storytelling  methods in the context of Indonesian language learning are expected to make a meaningful contribution to enhancing the quality of language education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Waste and environmental management are important factors to improve the quality of life of the community. As a business actor, especially a business engaged in the F&B sector, innovation in managing waste generated from their business is one of the major challenges to the sustainability of a business. Thus, the topic related to handling food waste in this food business is considered important to study. Purpose: This study aims to obtain solutions in handling food waste that can be done to minimize the impact caused by food waste produced by the catering business of PT Atim and Wanti Saiyo Jaya. Design/methodology/approach: The analysis of problems and solutions in this study uses a qualitative approach with the design thinking method. Findings/Results: The results of the analysis show that this business's ability to process food waste is still lacking so it ends up in a landfill, which is widely complained about by the local community. Internal training, creating a waste cycle process, and establishing partnerships are alternative solutions that can be done to overcome these problems. Conclusion: The design thinking approach is one of the comprehensive alternatives to help business people in mapping problems and finding solutions to these problems. Originality/Value (State of The Art): The catering business of PT Atim and Wanti Saiyo Jaya is a catering business that has been established for quite a long time. The support of the government, community, and private sector in improving waste management can help this catering business become a more sustainable business.
