Abstract

The proliferation of technology-based financial services or financial technology (fintech) is not only a competitive risk for commercial banks, but also people's economic banks (BPR). In this condition, BPR is also required to make improvements. BPR inevitably faces extraordinary challenges with the development of this technology. Before technology developed as rapidly as it is today, many BPRs relied on good relationships and personal approaches in attracting customers. Although these methods are still relevant today, BPRs also have to rely on technology. This situation prompted the creation of a strategic plan at BPR XYZ. This analysis carries out information system strategic planning using the Ward and Peppard method, in which an analysis stage of the internal, external and internal and external IS/IT business environment is carried out. Then, from this analysis, results were obtained in the form of business IS strategy, IT strategy and IS/IT management strategy. This information system strategic planning is expected to provide the planning that is needed and useful for the company to achieve its business goals.

Abstract

Poor adherence to anti-tuberculosis (TB) treatment continues to hinder therapeutic success and patient quality of life. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the TB-R mobile application in improving medication adherence and quality of life among pulmonary TB patients at Pandeglang Regional Hospital. Eighty-six patients were randomized into intervention (n = 43) and control (n = 43) groups. Adherence and quality of life were measured using the Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS) and EQ-5D-5L, respectively. After one month, the intervention group demonstrated significantly higher adherence (97.7% vs. 79.0%, p < 0.001) and improvement in mean MARS scores (24.7 vs. 22.7, p < 0.001). Although quality of life gains were not statistically significant overall, notable improvements were observed in anxiety/depression and self-care domains. Demographic factors influenced outcomes: patients aged 29–39 and those living with others showed better adherence, while patients aged 40–50 experienced greater quality of life gains. Women aged 51–60 living alone had decreased adherence despite quality of life improvements. These results suggest that mHealth tools like TB-R can enhance adherence, especially when supported by favorable social and demographic conditions. Tailored digital interventions may optimize treatment outcomes in TB care. Future mHealth app development should consider these social and demographic factors to maximize effectiveness and user engagement.

Abstract

The use of unsafe cosmetics among adolescents, particularly those containing mercury, remains a significant public health concern. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ knowledge at SMK Babunnajah through training in mercury identification and education on the safe use of cosmetics. The activity employed interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on mercury testing using simple reagent kits. An evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires with 40 students. The results showed a substantial improvement in knowledge levels, with 70% of participants categorised as having high knowledge before the training, increasing to 100% afterwards. All knowledge indicators showed improvement, particularly in understanding product legality and the risks of mercury exposure. This training proved effective in fostering critical awareness and selective behaviour regarding cosmetic use. The program is recommended for replication in other vocational schools as a preventive measure against the use of illegal and harmful cosmetic products.
