Abstract

LANGENASTRAN Village is one of the areas in Yogyakarta City. Langenastran is known as a street and at the same time a strategic village in building tourism and culture, lies in the territory within the Kraton Yogyakarta. Strategic location and also a very rich cultural heritage should be able to attract tourists to come. But it was still less tourists who visit. This is caused by the management of tourism in Langenastran not maximal because of the absence of good governance. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a community service in order to help the community in Langenastran in order to have better selling and governance value. The method used is the method of mentoring and simulation methods. Stages implemented in community service include: conducting meetings in the form of internal team meetings and meetings to coordinate the implementation of activities; met some community leaders to discuss Langenastran Village in the future and how to develop Langenastran will include how to make tour packages, attractions and good organizational structure. Abstract

Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta known to have many tourist destinations in the form of heritage for example Ratu Boko site. The site Ratu Boko is a historic relic that was built around the 8th century during the reign of Rakai Panangkaran, one of the descendants Wangsa Syailendra. The development of these tourist destinations are increasingly dynamic. The development of tourism activities in sites of historical and cultural heritage of course have an impact on the environment around the site. This study used qualitative descriptive methods, using data derived from primary data source (observations and interviews) and secondary data sources (study of literature). This papers restrain only on based descriptive analysis from data and not using statistic to analysis. The results of this research found that there are positive and negative impacts arising from the development of this tourist destination. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world and Indonesia in 2019 had a significant impact on almost all industrial sectors. The Covid-19 pandemic forced every government from various countries to issued travel warnings, namely an appeal and a travel ban, to prevent the virus's faster and wider spread. In fact, the government issued flight cancellations from and out of the country. Restrictions on mobility at home and abroad significantly affect the tourism industry, related to the number of visits to various tourist destinations in Indonesia. Virtual reality (VR) technology in the tourism industry has emerged since the 2009s, its role is still limited as tourism promotion tools. The current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic is forcing tourism actors to rearrange strategies for using VR technology so that they can temporarily substitute and meet the needs of the community in traveling through virtual tourism. Studies related to public perception and acceptance of alternative travel through this technology have not been widely carried out. This study aims to explore the development of virtual tourism by analyzing the perception and acceptance of the Indonesian people towards virtual tourism. The research method used is the descriptive quantitative method. The data collection using a questionnaire that refers to product concept testing. This study indicates that most respondents know about virtual tours, but most have never taken virtual tours and are interested in taking virtual tours and are willing to pay. In addition, most respondents consider that virtual tourism can replace physical tourism.

Abstract

Purpose: The community-based tourism concept needs to be understood deeply. We need to know and predict the opportunities and challenges that exist and will occur in the future in developing the community and tourism as a mutualism. This research analyzed the theories to describe it and derive conclusions for the basic concepts of community-based tourism as well as further explore the cases of applying these concepts to gain opportunities and challenges from community-based tourism Research methodology: This study is a conceptual article using the literature review method Results: This study elaborates the concepts, opportunities and challenges of the community-based tourism paradigm. Limitations: This study is a secondary data-based analysis (literature review) on the concept of community-based tourism in the social and cultural context of the community, as well as the opportunities and challenges of its application to tourism development Contribution: This study provides an in-depth and comprehensive view of community-based tourism to assist in exploring approaches and theories in community-based tourism research and planning and policymaking in the tourism sector, especially in the local community aspect.
