Abstract

Efficiently managing academic information systems (AIS) is essential for educational institutions to provide reliable services to students and faculty. This research explores the integration of HAProxy load balancing and file synchronization techniques to optimize the performance of AIS. HAProxy is employed to distribute incoming requests across multiple backend servers, and the backend will call web service to access the data saved in the database to facilitate seamless data sharing and access. Additionally, file synchronization mechanisms are implemented to maintain consistency across scripts used in the backend system. The study conducts performance evaluations and benchmarks to assess the impact of HAProxy load balancing and file synchronization on AIS responsiveness and reliability. The results reveal significant system scalability and fault tolerance improvements, reducing downtime and enhancing user experience. This research contributes to optimizing academic information systems, enhancing their ability to handle increased loads, and ensuring the efficient delivery of educational services.

Abstract

The advent of the digital economy makes commerce more accessible to everyone. Example: an online marketplace app that simplifies buying and selling. The marketplace app's useful features and ease of use attract many users. The marketplace app's functionality and convenience have been enhanced to meet consumer expectations and prioritize consumer data protection. This study investigates how customers protect their data when shopping online and utilizing marketplace apps. Environmental and social influences, personal data security facilities, the goal of utilizing the marketplace, and awareness of customer data security when using the marketplace application were asked of 70 random sample participants. The questionnaires had 16 Guttman scale questions. According to the report, 81.42% of customers trust the marketplace app to protect their data. Likewise, 88.57% of customers strongly believe that the marketplace application they use secures their personal information, indicating that this is related to their marketplace service needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menerangkan perbandingan metode Decision Support System Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assesment (WASPAS) dan Weighted Product (WP) dalam menentukan kandidat lurah pondok di Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwir Krapyak L Yogyakarta, dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi adanya pemilihan kandidat lurah pondok yang bersifat subjektif, serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan dari kedua metode dalam menangani kasus penentuan kandidat lurah pondok. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, hasil tiga kandidat lurah pondok yang layak menurut metode WASPAS adalah RdS menempati peringkat pertama, AhL menempati peringkat kedua, dan ChZ menempati peringkat ketiga, sedangkan menurut metode WP adalah AhL menempati peringkat pertama, RdS menempati peringkat kedua, dan ChZ menempati peringkat ketiga, dari beberapa pilihan alternatif santri yang ada. Hasil peringkat kandidat lurah pondok yang menempati peringkat tiga terbesar dengan menggunakan metode WASPAS dan WP adalah sama, hanya bertukar peringkat. Maka kedua metode ini dapat digunakan dalam menentukan kandidat lurah pondok di Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwir Krapyak Komplek L Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Effective management of correspondence is a crucial requirement in various organizations to enhance operational efficiency, particularly in supporting lectures in higher education. The issuance of letters for student needs must adhere to specific requirements that must be fulfilled before the letter is issued. This process can sometimes be lengthy as the examination is conducted by officers. The application of information technology enables the acceleration of letter issuance by automating the verification of the necessary requirements. The use of mobile technology also facilitates flexible access for users at any time and from any location. Mobile applications are designed to address user needs in terms of functionality, ease of use, and optimal performance. This study aims to develop a mobile-based automatic letter system that assists students in obtaining letters required during lectures. The application operates automatically, meaning that the fulfillment of the requirements necessary for issuing letters can occur without the intervention of officers to verify them. The development of this system follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which encompasses needs analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. Application development incorporates data obtained from other existing systems such as academic information systems, personnel information systems, and electronic official manuscript systems. This application utilizes the Application Programming Interface (API) to communicate with other applications. The development of this system employs the Dart programming language and the Flutter framework. From the results of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), a score of 93.19% was achieved, indicating that the application was well received by users.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills are essential in today’s digital age. However, numerous new students possess varying levels of ICT proficiency and may lack the necessary skills expected by universities. ICT training is essential for enhancing students’ ICT skills. Nevertheless, delivering the same training to all students proves to be less effective. Therefore, grouping students’ ICT skills is crucial to ensure that the training provided aligns with the fundamental abilities of the students. Cluster analysis is a common method for grouping data. This study employs k-Means and an autoencoder for cluster analysis, with the autoencoder utilized to reduce data dimensions and k-Means to perform the clustering process. The Elbow method is utilized to identify the ideal number of clusters. The optimal number of clusters determined was three. Model evaluation was conducted using the Silhouette coefficient and the Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI). The evaluation results revealed that the combination of k-Means and autoencoder yields superior performance compared to using k-Means alone, as evidenced by a higher Silhouette value and a lower DBI value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang perbandingan routing sebagai salah satu manajemen jaringan komputer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis terhadap protokol routing statik dengan routing dinamis OSPF pada jaringan komputer di lingkungan Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta dengan metode studi literatur dan wawancara dalam pengumpulan data. Penelitian dibuat berdasarkan pemodelan (simulasi) berbasis aplikasi EVE-NG. Performa yang dihasilkan dari perbandingan routing tersebut diukur menggunakan parameter QoS meliputi nilai dari throughput, packet loss, delay, dan jitter. Pengujian kinerja jaringan menggunakan skenario normal dan sibuk pada routing statik dan dinamis OSPF antara lain skenario normal throughput untuk routing protokol statik sebanyak 598.10Bps dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 598.34Bps, sedangkan skenario sibuk untuk routing protokol statik sebanyak 598.82Bps dan nilai untuk OSPF sebesar 597.58Bps. Packet loss skenario normal routing protokol statik sebanyak 0.23% dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 0.27% serta skenario sibuk untuk routing protokol statik sebanyak 0.24% dan OSPF sebanyak 0.26%. Nilai delay skenario normal routing statik protokol sebanyak 59.39ms dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 59.36ms, sedangkan skenario sibuk untuk routing protokol statik sebanyak 59.32ms dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 59.44ms. Jitter menggunakan skenario normal protokol routing statik sebanyak 0.98ms dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 0.98ms serta skenario sibuk routing protokol statik sebanyak 0.98ms dan nilai untuk OSPF sebanyak 0.99ms. Parameter QoS menunjukkan bahwa throughput dan delay maka routing statik lebih optimal dibandingkan OSPF pada skenario sibuk, sedangkan pada skenario normal dan sibuk jitter dan packet loss lebih optimal routing protokol statik. AbstractThis study describes the comparison of routing as one of computer network management. The purpose of this study is to analyze static routing protocols with OSPF dynamic routing on computer networks in the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with literature study methods and interviews in data collection. The study was made based on modeling (simulation) based on EVE-NG applications. The performance resulting from the comparison of routing is measured using QoS parameters including the value of throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. Network performance testing uses normal and busy scenarios on static and dynamic OSPF routing, including normal throughput scenarios for static protocol routing as much as 598.10Bps and values for OSPF as much as 598.34Bps, while busy scenarios for static protocol routing as much as 598.82Bps and values for OSPF as 597.58 Bps. Normal packet routing scenario static routing protocols are 0.23% and OSPF values are 0.27% and busy scenarios for static protocol routing are 0.24% and OSPF are 0.26%. The normal scenario static routing protocol delay value is 59.39ms and the value for OSPF is 59.36ms, while the busy scenario for static protocol routing is 59.32ms and the value for OSPF is 59.44ms. Jitter uses a normal scenario of 0.98ms static routing protocol and 0.98ms for OSPF and 0.98ms for busy routing protocol scenarios and 0.99ms for OSPF. QoS parameters indicate that throughput and delay static routing is more optimal than OSPF in busy scenarios, whereas in normal and busy scenarios jitter and packet loss are more optimal static protocol routing.

Abstract

Alumni career mapping is a crucial aspect of evaluating and developing higher education programs. Cluster analysis, particularly the integration of k-means and autoencoder methods, has emerged as an effective solution for grouping complex and multi-dimensional alumni career data. This study aims to implement and assess the combination of k-means and autoencoder algorithms in alumni career mapping based on GPA, study duration, waiting time, job type, salary, job level, and field of study suitability. The autoencoder is employed to reduce dimensions, while k-means clusters alumni into groups based on the similarity of their career profiles. The data used in the cluster analysis is sourced from the tracer study. Pre-processing of the tracer study data is conducted through several stages, including cleaning, encoding, and normalization. The evaluation results indicate that the combination of k-means and autoencoder yields superior Silhouette and DBI scores. The Silhouette score with the autoencoder achieved 0.6112, while without it, the score was only 0.3956. The DBI value with the autoencoder is 0.566, whereas without it, the DBI reached 1.022. This cluster analysis effectively grouped the tracer study data into six clusters based on similarities in career profiles. The clustering results suggest that the formed clusters are more influenced by the alumni's job type and duration of study.
