Abstract

In Indonesia, English is a foreign language to be studied both at school institutions and not. In practice students and teachers still face many obstacles in the learning process, especially in English proficiency. Various responses can be found in class related to these problems, especially on students' language difficulties, students' attitudes during the learning process. With these problems student learning outcomes, and participation in carrying out learning activities and groups are less effective. So that in conversation material students have not shown maximum seriousness and learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the difficulties faced by students in learning English and the causal factors related to student conversations. This study used a qualitative approach with interview instruments, journal literature, and analyzing student learning outcomes. Analysis of research data was carried out in three ways, namely interviews, reviewing journals, drawing conclusions and verifying student learning outcomes. The results showed that the research subjects had difficulty learning English in various conversation materials. This occurs as a result of different levels of English mastery and learning outcomes according to assessment standards.

Abstract

Many students do not speak English well, are not confident in speaking, some are afraid of making mistakes in pronunciation. The purpose of this research is to find the effect of the Audio- Lingual Method on speaking achievement, This research was conducted using quantitative methods. The research sample consisted of 20 students in class VIII-1 as the experimental class  with Treatment Using Audio Lingual Method and 20 students in class VIII-2 as the control class with Conventional. From the data that has been analyzed, researchers obtained the average results of the experimental class the highest average score was 95 and the lowest average score was 85. In addition, in the control class the total score of 20 students was 1.815 and the average score is 90.75 points. And the control class the highest average score was 85 and the lowest average score was 75. Moreover, in control class the total score that 20 students was 1.590 and the average score was 79,5 point. Students' speaking skills can be improved by using the Audio Lingual Method and Using Animation Video.

Abstract

There are several factors that affect vocabulary teaching. A creative teacher will use teaching methods that are appropriate to the conditions of the students in the class and can attract them to be more interested in learning English, especially vocabulary mastery. The purpose of this study was to find the significance of Lingodeer Application in teaching English Vocabulary which was observed and analyzed by the seventh grade students of MTS Darul Ilmi Batang Kuis. In this research method is quantitative by taking 60 students as a sample. The population of this study were all students of class VII and the sample of this study was class VII- 1 as the experimental class, class VII- 2 as the control class. The research instrument used was multiple choice. Research on the use of Lingodeer Application and the Lingodeer Application has a significant effect on students' vocabulary achievement. It can be concluded that the use of Lingodeer Application in improving students' vocabulary mastery is affective. The results found in this study were observed t of 8,85 and 1 table of 2.00. This can be stated that there is a significant difference between the vocabulary scores of students who are taught using Lingodeer Application and without Lingodeer Application. It means that Lingodeer Application is quite effective in increasing students' vocabulary achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to formulate a study of the importance of auditing in the household, changes in information technology governance and the design of audit relationships and information technology on the quality of the family economy. The research method is Research and Development (R&D), with the samples used are Employees/Lecturers of UMN Al Washliyah Medan city and Deli Serdang Regency with the criteria of men and women who are married as many as 35 people, the data collection technique used is a scale questionnaire. Likert and secondary data. The result of this study is that household financial management using information technology is considered to be quite good, because some of them have recorded all household expenses and the lifestyle they apply is still varied, some have a high life style (high profile) and some are simple. (low profile).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang bahan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, memvalidasi, mengimplementasikan hingga mengevaluasi teknologi pengajaran untuk menyelesaikan case study pada mata kuliah akuntansi keuangan lanjut. Metode penelitian yang akan dilaksanakan adalah Penelitian Pengembangan atau dikenal dengan Research Development. Research Development akan menggunakan model ADDIE yaitu melalui tahapan analisis, tahapan design, tahapan pengembangan, tahapan penerapan dan evaluasi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Tahapan analisis yang dilakukan untuk mahasiwa dan dosen, mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran memiliki 2 faktor yaitu faktor Pembelajaran Inovatif dan Evaluasi Objektif dan Konten Pembelajaran, dosen yang berkaitan capaian pembelajaran sesuai dengan lulusan, factor yang menjadi Pembelajaran Inovatif dan Evaluasi Objektif dan Konten Pembelajaran, selanjutnya dikaji analisis pembelajaran inovatif yang menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan terdapat 2 faktor diantaranya pembelajaran case study dan assessmen dalam pembelajaran dan Tahapan desain, pada tahapan ini modul dirancang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan case study, sehingga konten modul berisi Langkah case study dan dikolaborasi dengan sumber dari lapangan dan website serta dilengkapi penilaian kemampuan Berpikir kritis dan kemampuan Berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

The counseling process has been significantly changed by advances in information and communication technology. The digital era has paved the way for virtual counseling services, which allow wider, more flexible, and anonymous access for those who need it, especially students. One of the important services provided to students to support their emotional, social, and academic growth is counseling. Counseling in higher education is increasingly being done virtually due to the rapid development of information technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dynamics of interpersonal relationships in virtual counseling, find problems, and find opportunities and intervention strategies that may be used in this situation. It is important to understand these challenges and create useful solutions for them. Some of the main problems that are often faced include difficulties in building strong emotional relationships, limitations in non-verbal interactions, and technical problems that can interfere with communication. The research method is a qualitative descriptive method by taking data from several libraries that are used as consideration. After reviewing the literature from various related research sources, this article concludes that although virtual counseling services present some technical problems and limitations in non-verbal interactions, they also offer greater opportunities. Appropriate intervention strategies include technology skills training, use of safe platforms, and approaches that rely more on effective communication skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how group counseling services with a behavioral approach can improve students' social relationships. The formulation of the research problem is that many students have difficulty in building and maintaining healthy social relationships, which has an impact on their adaptation process in the college environment. The behavioral approach was chosen because it focuses on real behavioral changes through social learning, positive reinforcement, and other measurable techniques. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test model. The sample of this study used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 10 students. The instrument used was a previously validated social relationship questionnaire. The experimental group was given an intervention in the form of group counseling services with a behavioral approach for six sessions. The results of data analysis using the t-test showed that group counseling services with a behavioral approach can improve students' social relationships. The results of the hypothesis using the t-test obtained from the calculation with the results of t count = 7.626> t table 2.262 that group counseling services with a behavioral approach can improve students' social relationships.

Abstract

This community service is carried out through mentoring activities for SAS English Laboratory tutors, 89% of whom are Generation Z. The current habits and the ease of social media have poisoned the mindset of Generation Z to experience "FOMO" by following current trends, especially frequent culinary tours in cafes. Restaurants or street food, which lead to poor financial management, have become a problem for SAS English Laboratory tutors in managing their finances. 65% of the tutors agree that culinary news shared on TikTok has become a destination that must be visited, even if only for a photo. This activity was carried out with the two-stay two-stray method, dividing each group to manage easy-to-make and delicious food, followed by the application of science and technology in managing finances well. The results from this community service activity have opened the partners' minds to better financial management, contributing to more effective organization and use of finances. This, in turn, helps avoid consumerism in daily life, particularly in food consumption outside of home, such as in cafes or snack places. The partners stated that savings significantly differentiate the characteristics of the two clusters, or in other words, the indicators by respondents in the two existing clusters are very different from one aThis also helps the psychology of Generation Z in managing finances.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi seberapa efektif layanan bimbingan klasik yang menggunakan pendekatan humanistik dalam mengurangi kenakalan remaja pada siswa SMP Negeri 23 Medan yang berada di kelas VII. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah maraknya perilaku menyimpang di kalangan remaja, seperti bolos, tawuran, dan pelanggaran tata tertib sekolah. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK) dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, serta Angket Kebutuhan Peserta Didik (AKPD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan humanistik yang menekankan empati, refleksi diri, dan tanggung jawab pribadi mampu meningkatkan kesadaran dan kedisiplinan siswa. Penggunaan strategi seperti diskusi reflektif dan role play terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan kecenderungan kenakalan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis humanistik merupakan pendekatan preventif yang efektif dan layak diimplementasikan di lingkungan sekolah menengah pertama.
