Abstract

This study aims to develop a gastronomic tourism object in Belitung Island which has been known by its marine tourism. Traditional food namely fish Gangan is the object that will be examined and promoted as an icon of gastronomic tourism from Belitung Island. The method applied in this study is descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation as the research instruments.  By conducting this research, it is expected that the fish gagan may become a culinary tourism icon of Belitung island which can attracts tourists’ interest to visit the place. So that this product will give additional value for Belitung island as an attractive and sustainable tourism place.

Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the largest industries globally in the world both in terms of the number of actors and the money circulating in it. It was recorded that around 1.50 billion world tourists traveled in 2019. This research aims to know the tourism development strategies in Menganti Beach based on the level of tourist satisfaction. his research is based on descriptive quantitative method. The data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative data that obtained through literature study, observation, interviews and questionnaires to 100 respondents who had experienced on visiting Menganti Beach. Data were analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and supported by descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that the development strategy is formulated by improving the performance of quadrant I elements that are also the weaknesses of the destination, maintaining the elements of quadrant II which are also the strengths of the destination, and paying attention to the opportunities and threats that the destination has. The development strategy is broadly emphasized on the aspects of strengthening, developing and packaging tourist attractions, maintaining infrastructure performance, improving the quality and quantity of tourism supporting facilities, increasing marketing (promotion), improving the quality of human resources in the field of tourism services, improving organizational and governance systems and developing partnership relation.

Abstract

Sports tourism has become a rapidly growing trend in various countries, including Indonesia. Peramun Hill, which is located in Air Selumar Village, Sijuk District, Belitung Regency, has great potential to be developed as a sports tourism destination considering its natural beauty, biodiversity and supporting infrastructure. This research aims to identify the potential for sport tourism in Peramun Hill and formulate optimization strategies in its development to support the sustainability of tourism in this area. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, participant observation and literature study. The research results show that Peramun Hill has a landscape that supports various natural sports activities, such as hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking. Apart from that, community-based management and the use of digital technology in tourism provide added value for this destination. Recommended optimization strategies include improving trekking and hiking infrastructure, digital-based promotions, collaboration with influencers and travel agents, as well as organizing sustainable sporting events. The active participation of local communities and policy support from the government are also key factors in the successful development of sports tourism in Peramun Hill. With the right strategy, Peramun Hill has the potential to become a leading sports tourism destination that will not only increase the number of tourist visits, but also have a positive impact on the local economy and environmental conservation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the history, philosophy and tradition of eating bedulang, as well as to find out how the development strategy is to become a gastronomic tourist attraction in Belitung Regency by being located in the traditional house of Belitung Regency. The type of research used is qualitative with interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this study will describe the history of the philosophy and development strategy undertaken with the hope that this effort can make it a tourist attraction, especially gastronomy that attracts and is of interest to tourists.

Abstract

Konsisten dalam tujuan penelitian ini yakni dalam upaya pelestarian terhadap Nasi Penggel khas Kabupaten Kebumen melalui pendekatan Gastronomy Tourism, dalam kegiatannya mengeksplor sejarah, tradisi, filosofi, proses pembuatan dan penyajian, kemudian bagaimana upaya pelestarian Nasi Penggel Makanan Khas Kabupaten Kebumen melalui pendekatan Gastronomy Tourism. Kurangnya peminat menjadi salah satu faktor terjadinya kepunahan terhadap makanan khas di suatu daerah. Nasi Penggel merupakan makanan khas Kabupaten Kebumen yang memiliki ciri khas yang sangat  kental yaitu berupa nasi yang dibentuk bulat, seukuran bola pingpong, kemudian disajikan dengan wadah daun pisang yang dibentuk `pincuk`, dengan dilengkapi lauk sayur nangka muda berbumbu gurih dan kikil atau babat sapi yang dimasak dengan bumbu kuning. Lauk menjadi pendampingnya adalah tahu dan tempe mendoan. Keunikan tersebut seharusnya bisa menjadi potensi peluang bagi Kabupaten Kebumen untuk menjadi suatu daya tarik wisata kuliner bahkan Gastronomy, Sehingga bisa menghindari terhadap hampir punahnya keberadaan Nasi Penggel. Tahapan penelitian ini antara lain; Tahap persiapan, meliputi pemahaman mendalam terhadap objek yang diteliti dengan studi literature, pedoman wawancara, perlengkapan alat tulis dan alat dokumentasi. Tahap pelaksanaan penelitian meliputi terjun langsung ke lapangan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Tahap terakhir meliputi pengolahan data meliputi proses dari penyusunan data yang dilakukan. Data yang sudah didapat lalu diolah, diurutkan, dikelompokkan dan dikategorikan menjadi sebuah data yang informatif.
