Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) according to the World Heallth Orgalnizaltion (WHO) as the second deadly disease in the world in 2021 after Covid-19, and became the 13th (thirteen) as the main cause of death worldwide. Indonesia is ranked third in the world with the highest burden of TB cases after India and China. The trend of tuberculosis case finding rates for all types per 100,000 population in Lampung Province during 2016-2020 tends to increase. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship of socioeconomic and environmental factors to the incidence of tuberculosis. The type of research was quantitative with a case control approach. The research was conducted in September-October 2023 at UPTD Puskesmas Tanjung Agung. The sample amounted to 58 respondents (29 case groups and 29 control groups). The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire sheet. The results showed that there was a relationship between economic status (p value: 0.009) and home hygiene (p value: 0.001). It is recommended that the Health Office carry out early detection of pulmonary tuberculosis problems routinely, in addition to carrying out preventive, promotive efforts in preventing pulmonary tuberculosis. The government, in this case the UPTD Puskesmas Tanjung Agung, conducts counseling about pulmonary tuberculosis and the dangers of smoking. The government also tries to implement programs to improve the economic status of the community as a priority or program.

Abstract

Abstract: Increased blood pressure that lasts for a long time can cause damage to the kidneys (kidney failure), heart (coronary heart disease) and brain (causing stroke) if not detected early and received adequate treatment. Based on preliminary data obtained from the Lima Puluh Kota Health Center which is right in the area where the workers live, it shows that high blood pressure or hypertension is one of the diseases with the highest rate for the last 3 months, from December 2022 to February 2023. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of age and imt to the incidence of hypertension in transport workers. This type of research is quantitative using a cross sectional design. This research was conducted on workers, especially transport workers at Sungai Duku Port, with a total sample of 133 transport workers. The instrument used was a research questionnaire. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed there was a relationship between IMt to the incidence of hypertension (p value: 0.012) and there was no relationship between age to the incidence of hypertension (p value: 0.611). It is recommended for respondents to maintain a diet and routine physical activity and avoid stress.Keywords: Transport Workers, BMI, Hypertension, Age

Abstract

Abstract: Based on an initial survey, that DM patients who do outpatient care at RSUD Dr. Sayidiman Magetan in 2021 amounted to 264 cases, in 2022 amounted to 656 cases and in 2023 alone amounted to 772 cases. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with diabetes mellitus diet compliance in the elderly. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at Dr. Sayidiman Magetan Hospital. The research was conducted in July 2024. The population was all outpatients with Diabetes Mellitus in the polyclinic of RSUD dr Sayidiman Magetan totaling 65 patients. The sample amounted to 56 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results of the study there is a relationship between attitude (p value: 0.020) and health worker support (p value: 0.045). It is recommended that hospitals can create peer groups, improve therapeutic communication, and carry out counseling activities using audio visuals regarding the importance of adherence to a diabetes mellitus diet. As well as increasing the role of the family in patient assistance so that complications of diabetes mellitus can be prevented.Keywords: Health worker support, diabetes, attitude.
