Abstract

The function of Ikatan Guru Raudhatul Athfal, or what so-called by IGRA is ideally as a forum for professional development of educators and educational members of Early Childhood Education or ECE institutions. This research is aimed to figure out challenges faced by IGRA in East Kalimantan in relation to principles of organizational management i.e, planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, or what so-called by POAC. In-dept interview was done to the head and members of IGRA in East Kalimantan in four different cities i.e, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Tenggarong, and Berau. Findings of this research indicate that principles of organizational management have not effectively been employed due to very crucial challenges, including leadership, organizational funding, IGRA members competency, government support, and some other critical barriers that trigger insufficient management implementation of IGRA in East Kalimantan. Research implications and suggestions are discussed further in this research.

Abstract

Dalam program madrasah riset, guru pembimbing memiliki peran dalam mengarahkan dan memotivasi siswa dalam mewujudkan kreatifitas dan inovasinya dalam kegiatan riset. Sebagai upaya implementasi program madrasah riset pada madrasah di Kabupaten Paser penting untuk dilakukan pelatihan metodologi riset untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membimbing riset siswa dan sebagai bukti profesionalisme pada bidang keilmuan yang diampu. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan riset. Kegiatan pelatihan metodologi riset, dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan andragogi dengan tahapan kegiatan meliputi observasi, perencanaan dan persiapan kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil survei diketahui bahwa 84,87% peserta sangat setuju dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan metodologi riset, dan dapat dikatakan bahwa pelatihan tersebut telah berhasil dengan indikator bahwa kegiatan pelatihan telah sesuai sasaran, materi yang disampaikan juga relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta pelatihan, yang cakupan materinya sesuai dengan tujuan dan sasaran pelatihan serta sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu dan Pendidikan. Training in Research Methodology to Implement a Research Madrasah Program for Teachers in Paser District Abstract As an attempt to implement the research madrasah programme in Paser district, it is important to conduct training in research methodology in order to improve the teacher's ability to guide students' research and as proof of professionalism in the field of science. The purpose of this activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers when conducting research. Research methodology training activities are carried out with an andragogic approach, with stages of activities including observation, planning and preparation of activities, implementation activities, and evaluation activities. Based on the results of the survey, it is known that 84.87% of participants strongly agree with the implementation of training activities and the and the methodology of research, and it can be said that the training has been successful with indicators that training activities have been targeted. The material submitted is also relevant to the needs of the training participants, whose coverage matters in accordance with the purposes and objectives of training as well as in line with the progress of science and education.

Abstract

The Indonesia-Malaysia border area has diverse and beneficial local natural resource potentials, but hasn’t been fully utilized in learning at universities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the utilization of local natural resources in the application of the PjBL model in state universities in the Indonesia-Malaysia border area, more precisely in West Kalimantan, namely IAIN Pontianak. The focus of the study is the utilization of local natural resources as teaching materials and project media, as well as its impact on student involvement in the learning process and learning outcomes. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative methodology, gathering data via in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the technique from Miles, Huberman and Saldana with data validity through triangulation. The results of the study show that the utilization of local natural resources in PjBL can increase active student involvement, strengthen the relevance of lecture materials to real contexts, encourage the emergence of creative and innovative solutions to local potentials and problems, and foster awareness of environmental conservation among students. However, its implementation is still not optimal due to limited supporting facilities and infrastructure, uneven lecturer competence, and minimal collaboration with the local community and industry.
