Abstract

The research is about basic skills of teaching of Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education (PGMI) Department of Samarinda. The research objective is to describe the ability of basic skills of teaching of PGMI students who have taught at elementary school and Islamic Elementary School of Samarinda in academic year 2017-2018. The skills include the skill of opening and closing the lesson, explaining, giving affirmation, having variation, asking and organizing the class. The research method is a descriptive method. The data collection technique is using the methods of observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the data is analyzed descriptively through percentage and the ideal average of each component of the basic skills of teaching. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the ability of basic skills of teaching are on a good criteria, they are: the skill of opening and closing the lesson (the average score is 26,25 or 72,91%), affirmation skill (the average score is 19,52 or 69,91%), asking skill (the average score is 17,75 or 73,95%), and the skill of organizing the class (the average score is 26,50 or 73,61%), and there are two skills in the category of enough, they are explaining skill (the average score is 17,37 or 62,03%) and having variation skill (the average score is 17,00 or 60,70%).  Next is needed a more comprehensive study related to the students’ skill at the department of PGMI, so that the information and the findings will be a consideration in the efforts of increasing the students competency of PGMI department of IAIN Samarinda.

Abstract

The function of Ikatan Guru Raudhatul Athfal, or what so-called by IGRA is ideally as a forum for professional development of educators and educational members of Early Childhood Education or ECE institutions. This research is aimed to figure out challenges faced by IGRA in East Kalimantan in relation to principles of organizational management i.e, planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, or what so-called by POAC. In-dept interview was done to the head and members of IGRA in East Kalimantan in four different cities i.e, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Tenggarong, and Berau. Findings of this research indicate that principles of organizational management have not effectively been employed due to very crucial challenges, including leadership, organizational funding, IGRA members competency, government support, and some other critical barriers that trigger insufficient management implementation of IGRA in East Kalimantan. Research implications and suggestions are discussed further in this research.

Abstract

Blended learning is a demanding topic nowadays where its existence is possibly enhance lecturers’ competencies as well as giving students new experiences from the combination of different platforms of learning i.e. face to face interaction and online class. Since blended learning seems to be relevant topic at the present time, therefore the aim of the study is to explore the implementation of blended learning in Islamic universities in six different cities in Indonesia. Direct observation was conducted in order to map the strategy used by each Islamic university in implementing blended learning method. Other than that, Focus Group Discussion was also held to all Islamic universities in order to dig deeper regarding the policy from the management of the study program of Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) as well as confirming to what researchers found on the direct observation to the lecturers related to blended learning employment. Additionally, to support the result, semi-structured interview was conducted to representative of students from each Islamic university in order to highlight their perspectives in the realization of blended learning. As a result, the researchers found that the proportion of having between offline and online learning methods are varied, whether 70:30, 60:40, or 50:50. Additionally, there is no slight difference in terms of conducted activities during the offline session, whereas the use of online platforms with varied e-learning media are found very interestingly. Lastly, interview conducted to PAI students indicate positive attitude towards the implementation of blended learning where it is obviously provide future insight for further researchers. The novelty and pedagogical implications are also highlited in this article.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan asesmen berbasis aplikasi raportku.hol.es yang telah digunakan oleh TK Negeri Pembina Penajam sejak tahun 2018. Aplikasi ini memiliki beberapa menu dengan masing-masing fungsinya, seperti menu Data Sekolah, Rombongan Belajar, Data Siswa, dan Penilaian. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi adalah teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini. Peneliti menggunakan model analisis Miles dan Huberman, yaitu analisis mengalir dengan melawati beberapa tahapan, dimulai dari pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, display data (penyajian data), dan terakhir conclussion (kesimpulan). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kemajuan teknologi saat ini dapat memudahkan asesmen yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam menilai hasil belajar peserta didik. dengan adanya laporan berbasis online ini penyajian data capaian hasil belajar siswa lebih cepat, dan dokumentasi capaian perkembangan anak tersimpan dengan baik secara online. Selain kelebihan, terdapat pula kekurangan aplikasi ini, yaitu harus terkoneksi dengan jaringan internet yang stabil. Secara keseluruhan, asesmen berbasis aplikasi raportku.hol.es melalui 3 tiga tahapan, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan penilaian, evaluasi penilaian. Pada tahapan persiapan terdiri dari input database sekolah, input database peserta didik, dan setting rombongan belajar dan perencanaan pembelajaran, serta perencanaan penilaian, Selanjutnya tahapan pelaksanaan penilaian, input capaian pembelajaran siswa kedalam aplikasi setiap hari setelah kegiatan pembelajaran selesai, dan terakhir tahapan evaluasi penilaian yaitu proses penyalinan dan print-out raport yang merupakan data kumulatif dari penilaian harian yang telah dilakukan oleh guru. This study aims to describe the raportku.hol.es application-based assessment that has been used by TK Negeri Pembina Penajam since 2018. This application has several menus with each function, such as the School Data, Study Group, Student Data, dan Assessment menus. The research was conducted using qualitative methods. Observation, interviews, dan documentation were the techniques used to collect data in this study. Researchers use the Miles dan Huberman analysis model, namely flow analysis by going through several stages starting from data collection, data condensation, data display, dan finally conclussion. The results revealed that current technological advances can facilitate assessments carried out by teachers in assessing student learning outcomes. With this online-based report, the presentation of data on student learning outcomes is faster, dan documentation of children’s developmental achievements is well stored online. In addition to the advantages, there are also disadvantages of this application, which must be connected to a stable internet network. Overall, application-based assessment raportku.hol.es through 3 three stages, namely preparation, implementation of assessment, evaluation of assessment. The preparation stage consists of school database input, student database input, dan learning group settings dan learning planning, as well as assessment planning, then the assessment implementation stage, student learning achievement input into the application every day after learning activities are completed, dan finally the assessment evaluation stage, namely the process of copying dan printing out report cards which is cumulative data from daily assessments that have been carried out by the teacher.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan yang sering dihadapi lembaga dalam pengelolaan PAUD di Pedalaman Kabupaten Mahakam Hulu (Mahulu). Sedangkan tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan pengelolaan PAUD di pedalaman Kabupaten Mahakam Hulu (Mahulu) dan mendeskripsikan penanganan permasalahan pengelolaan PAUD di pedalaman Kabupaten Mahakam Hulu (Mahulu). Metodologi penelitian menggunafkan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang bermaksud untuk memahami fenomena tentang apa yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian misalnya perilaku, persepsi, motivasi, tindakan, dan lain-lain, secara holistic dan dengan cara deskripsi dalam bentuk kata-kata dan bahasa, pada suatu konteks khusus yang alamiah dan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai metode alamiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan permasalahan pengelolaan PAUD yang terjadi di Kabupaten Mahakam Hulu adalah sebagai berikut; 1) kualitas pengelola dan pendidik PAUD yang tingkat kompetensinya masih rendah, 2) kualitas pengasuhan yang masih rendah, 3)program intervensi orang tua yang rendah, 4) kualitas PAUD yang rendah, 5)kuantitas PAUD yang kurang memadai, dan 6) kesadaran membayar biaya sekolah tidak tepat waktu sedangkan Penanganan permasalahan yang dilakukan dalam pengelolaan PAUD di belum maksimal, Terdapat masalah yang dapat ditangani untuk sementara untuk menangani keterlambatan membayar SPP, dan ada yang harus segera diselesaikan dengan merubah pola kerja yang efektif dan efisien, dan ada harus ditangani dengan membuat sendiri seperti membuat buku ajar sendiri.

Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran oleh sebagian guru masih belum tepat dan inovatif sehingga masih terdapat siswa yang bersifat pasif ketika pembelajaran berlangsung, hal ini mengakibatkan siswa yang pasif tidak berusaha untuk menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru jika ini terus berlanjut maka akan berdampak negatif pada hasil belajar siswa yang dibuktikan dari perolehan hasil belajar beberapa siswa yang masih belum mencapai batas nilai minimum sekolah yaitu 75. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one grup pre-test post-test design. Tempat penelitian yaitu MTs Darussalam Samarinda. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan 23 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis (uji T) dengan paired sample test bahwa didapatkan nilai Asymp.sig sebesar 0,000 < sig α (0,05). Artinya, terdapat efektivitas model pembelajaran market place activity dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadis di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darussalam Samarinda. Adapun, efektivitas yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu sebesar 71,14% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis pre-test (61) dan post-test (88) penggunaan model pembelajaran market place activity terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan yang dimana nilai post-test hasil belajar pada siswa lebih tinggi dari pada nilai pre-test. maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat efektivitas yang tinggi dari model pembelajaran market place activity dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadis di MTs Darussalam Samarinda.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of play methods in stimulating the cognitive and social abilities of young children. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 17 Buah Hati Kindergarten children aged 5-6 years, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the children's involvement in play activities designed by the teacher. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman and Saldana model including data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing, with triangulation validation techniques and sources. The results of the research show that play activities that are applied systematically, such as playing with blocks, stick men, making weapons from banana stems, and matching pictures of flags, make a significant contribution to children's development. Block games train logic, creativity and problem-solving skills. Stick man games hone creativity and critical thinking skills through discussion and collaboration. The activity of making weapons from banana stems fosters imagination, gross motor coordination and cooperation, while the flag matching game improves memory, symbol recognition and social interaction. The conclusion of this research confirms that play methods, if well designed and relevant, can be an effective learning strategy in supporting the cognitive and social development of early childhood.
