Abstract

Arabic is the lenguage of Quran. Nahwu-shorof is a tools that is very important in Arabic. Unfortunately, studied Arabic, especially nahwu-shorof, for Indonesian people is not easy. Therefore, the nahwu-shorof material should be designed simply. The learning materials should be used to learn independently and suitable with the development of technology, information, and communication. This research is a Research and Development (R & D) model. The model of development used in this research is ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and Evaluation). The product specification from this research is application nahwu shorof wazan games which working on smartphone based Android. The results of validation indicated that in general the game wazan based android have good values. All aspects of assessment: the interface, level of difficulty, constancy, hyperlinks function, speed, interactivity, and sound function have a good and normal values.

Abstract

Peningkatan intensitas penggunaan teknologi digital dalam kehidupan anak menjadikan mediasi orang tua isu sentral dalam kajian pengasuhan digital. Meskipun demikian, perkembangan riset mengenai mediasi orang tua masih berkembang secara terfragmentasi lintas disiplin dan konteks, sehingga menghambat pemahaman yang komprehensif terhadap arah perkembangan, fokus tematik, dan struktur pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan, menganalisis, mengidentifikasi pola tematik, dan dinamika publikasi penelitian mediasi orang tua dalam satu dekade terakhir. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik terhadap artikel berbahasa Inggris yang terindeks Scopus pada periode 2007–2025. Proses seleksi mengikuti protokol PRISMA dan menghasilkan 129 artikel yang dianalisis dari 382 dokumen awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan publikasi yang signifikan sejak 2015 dengan dominasi kontribusi dari negara-negara maju, khususnya Amerika Serikat, Tiongkok, dan Belanda, keterlibatan jurnal bereputasi dan penulis yang berpengaruh dalam membentuk lanskap keilmuan mediasi orang tua. Analisis tematik mengungkap pergeseran paradigma riset dari pendekatan yang berorientasi pada proteksi risiko digital menuju pendekatan yang menekankan literasi, keterampilan digital, dan pendampingan aktif orang tua. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dengan memperjelas evolusi kajian mediasi orang tua dalam kerangka digital parenting, sekaligus implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan intervensi pengasuhan berbasis bukti yang lebih kontekstual dan adaptif terhadap dinamika keluarga modern.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of a technology-based PAI learning model at UNU Yogyakarta to meet the demands of the digital era. This study aims to describe the strategy for integrating technology into PAI learning and analyze its contribution to the effectiveness of the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that UNU Yogyakarta has successfully implemented an integrated digital learning model in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) course . This system integrates the LMS platform, 2D and 3D-based animated video media for delivering materials , as well as digital application-based interactive quizzes for weekly formative evaluations. The use of digital technology has been shown to increase student learning engagement by 78%, based on the results observation of learning activities in the LMS, as well as improving critical thinking skills through case study-based assignments analyzed in online groups , finally the PAI learning technology integration model at UNU Yogyakarta is not only oriented towards technical aspects and learning efficiency, but also optimizes the strengthening of Islamic character.

Abstract

Purpose – The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has driven significant transformations in the development of learning media, including in the field of Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Despite its potential, AI implementation in PAI raises pedagogical, ethical, and socio-cultural challenges. This study aims to synthesize conceptual developments of AI in PAI learning media through scientific mapping, addressing the lack of comprehensive studies that systematically identify key development factors grounded in pedagogy, Islamic values, and the context of Islamic higher education. This synthesis is essential to mitigate the misuse of generative AI and to support the development of ethical and relevant learning media. Design/methods/approach – This study employed a bibliometric meta-analysis using Bibliometrix in R Studio (biblioshiny), analyzing 446 selected publications from reputable sources related to AI, learning media, and Islamic education. Findings – The analysis identified technically intensive themes, including machine learning, deep learning, data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, and text processing. Broader strategic themes such as digital transformation, big data, and investment reflect system-level implementation trends. Conceptual mapping revealed key factor clusters encompassing pedagogical, technological, ethical, social, and institutional dimensions. These findings provide a conceptual foundation for developing integrative, contextual, and sustainable AI-based PAI learning media. Research implications/limitations – The study is limited by time and funding constraints, which restricted data sources and prevented deeper comparative analyses across regions and educational levels. Originality/value – This study offers originality by providing a systematic conceptual synthesis of AI-based learning media development. By integrating pedagogical principles, Islamic values, and socio-cultural considerations into a bibliometric conceptual mapping, this study provides a new integrative framework that supports the ethical, contextual, and sustainable use of AI in Islamic Religious Education learning media development.

Abstract

The development of educational technology requires learning innovations that are responsive to the characteristics of the digital generation, including in Tsaqafah 'Arabiyah learning, which is conceptual and often perceived as difficult by students. A common problem is the low level of students’ conceptual understanding, influenced by the abstract nature of the material and learning approaches that are still dominated by lectures and memorization. Therefore, the use of interactive learning media is needed to increase cognitive engagement and strengthen students’ comprehension more effectively. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Quizizz platform as a gamification-based learning medium in improving students’ conceptual understanding in the Tsaqafah 'Arabiyah learning. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-test–post-test design involving 20 third-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test and N-Gain calculation. The results show a significant improvement in students’ scores from 61.50 to 80.25, with t = -7.471 and p = 0.000. The average N-Gain value of 0.4627 indicates moderate effectiveness.Perkembangan teknologi pendidikan memerlukan inovasi pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap karakteristik generasi digital, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Tsaqafah 'Arabiyah yang bersifat konseptual dan sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Masalah umum yang sering muncul adalah rendahnya tingkat pemahaman konseptual siswa, yang dipengaruhi oleh sifat abstrak materi dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh ceramah dan hafalan. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan kognitif dan memperkuat pemahaman siswa secara lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas platform Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa pada mata kuliah Tsaqafah 'Arabiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-test–post-test yang melibatkan 20 mahasiswa semester ketiga Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab di UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada skor siswa dari 61,50 menjadi 80,25, dengan t = -7,471 dan p = 0,000. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,4627 menunjukkan efektivitas moderat.

Abstract

Lack of interactivity inside and outside the classroom can be a problem in learning. Android apps can help increase the level of interactivity among students, teachers and subject matter. Preliminary studies show that PAI teachers need Android applications to support the learning process in class and outside the classroom. This research aims to develop interactive learning media Suka EduPAI for Islamic Religious Education on Umayyad in Andalusia material. The population was taken from all class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Sewon with a sample of Class VII H. The research method used the APPED model (Analysis, Design, Production, Evaluation and Dissemination). Data collected from ongoing evaluation, and alpha testing from media experts, material experts and instructional experts shows that the application is valid and suitable for use. The assessment for this media from the material expert gets a high category of assessment of 73.3%, the media expert assessment gets a very high category of 88%, the instructional expert assessment gets a very high category with a score of 90%, and the student response gets a very high satisfaction with a score of 94%. Thus  the Suka EduPAI application is feasible and can be implemented in a classroom setting.
