Abstract

Mathematical representation ability is one of the expected abilities in learning mathematics in class. Very mathematical representation ability It is important for students to be able to make meaningful connections between concepts mathematics or between concepts and other fields or with life or environment around students. This research is important because it can analyze student representation abilities for students who have high, medium or low self efficacy to make it easier for teachers to apply appropriate learning methods. The aims of this research are (1) to analyze the influence of self-efficacy on students' mathematical representational abilities; (2) analyzing self-efficacy (high, medium and low) on the mathematical representation abilities of Tidore Islands City State High School/Vocational School students who implement the Independent Learning Curriculum. This research method is descriptive-quantitative with the type of research being causal survey research. Determination of the sample using random sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used were tests and questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential analysis. The findings of this research show that there is a significant influence of self-efficacy on students' mathematical representational abilities. The representative mathematical abilities of students for students who have high, medium and low self-efficacy results vary between one student and another.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan model pembelajaran tolak peluru gaya ortodoks melalui modifikasi alat bantu berupa peluru kayu untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan siswa. Latar belakang penelitian adalah keterbatasan sarana pembelajaran, khususnya peluru standar yang terlalu berat bagi siswa SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba skala kecil, revisi, uji coba skala besar, dan produk akhir. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan observasi psikomotor, dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Hasil menunjukkan uji coba skala kecil memperoleh skor 66,4% (kategori baik) dan uji coba skala besar 80,3% (kategori baik). Siswa merasa lebih percaya diri, tidak takut, dan lebih antusias dalam pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan modifikasi peluru kayu dapat mengatasi keterbatasan fasilitas dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran tolak peluru. Disimpulkan bahwa model ini efektif dan layak digunakan pada pembelajaran atletik di SMP.   Orthodox shot put learning model with wooden shot modification for junior high school students   Abstract: This study develops an orthodox shot put learning model through the modification of a wooden shot to enhance students’ motivation and skills. The research was driven by limited learning facilities, particularly the standard shot, which is too heavy for junior high school students. A research and development (R&D) approach was employed, involving needs analysis, initial product development, small-scale trials, revisions, large-scale trials, and final product creation. Data were collected using questionnaires and psychomotor observations, then analyzed descriptively. The small-scale trial scored 66.4% (good category), while the large-scale trial achieved 80.3% (good category). Students reported greater confidence, reduced fear, and increased enthusiasm during learning activities. These findings indicate that wooden shot modification effectively addresses facility limitations and improves the quality of shot put learning. It is concluded that the model is effective and feasible for athletic instruction in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to compare underhand passing skills in volleyball using a real ball and a modified plastic ball. The benefits of this study are for physical education teachers in developing learning innovations using modified plastic balls to improve underhand passing skills in volleyball. It is hoped that this will help students improve their ability to perform underhand passing skills better. This study is a comparative study using a survey method. Data collection used an underhand passing test using a real volleyball and a modified plastic ball. This study was conducted on 10th-grade students of SMK Negeri 5 West Halmahera. The population was all 73 students of SMK Negeri 5 West Halmahera, with a sample size of 12 students. The variable in this study was a single variable, namely underhand passing skills of SMK Negeri 5 West Halmahera students. In this study, differences between male and female students were not considered. The analysis technique used was the t-test.The results of this study can be concluded that the skill of passing under volleyball using a modified plastic ball is more effective or makes it easier for class X students of SMK Negeri 5 West Halmahera to master the basic technical skills of passing under. This can be shown from the results of the hypothesis test that between the total score (%) of passing under using a real volleyball and the total score (%) of passing onions using a modified plastic ball. From the test results, the t-count price was obtained at -5.28, while from the t-table it was obtained at 2.10 (attached data). It turns out that the t-count price is smaller than the t-table, or the t-count price is outside the Ho acceptance area so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Penalaran matematis merupakan kesanggupan seseorang dalam menyusun bukti, memberi penjelasan dan mengambil sebuah kesimpulan dari permasalahan yang dihadapi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan di SMA Negeri 8 Kota Tidore Kepulauan (TIKEP) menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran dan soal-soal evaluasi yang diberikan belum berorientasi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematika. Hal ini mengakibatkan rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa. Siswa kesulitan menganalisis informasi yang ada, cenderung menerima apa adanya informasi yang disampaikan maupun yang tertulis dalam buku, dan pasif dalam mengajukan pertanyaan-pertanyaan maupun menjawab pertanyaan dari permasalahan yang diajukan guru. Faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa masih rendah diakibatkan karena kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui perbedaan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Kota Tidore Kepulauan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan model pembelajaran PjBL berbasis STEM; (2) mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 8 Kota Tidore Kepulauan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan model Proyek Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis sains, teknologi, teknik, dan matematika (STEM). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental one-Group pretest-posttest design. Waktu penelitian ini dilakukan semester genap. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini adalah 86 siswa dan sampel dipilih 1 kelas dari 3 kelas secara acak diperoleh sebanyak 28 siswa. Instrument pengumpulan data terdiri atas instrument tes dan non test. Instrument test dalam bentuk uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan penalaran matematis. Sedangkan instrument non test merupakan angket motivasi belajar dengan menggunakan Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan penalaran matematis siswa secara signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan model pembelajaran PjBL berbasis STEM; (2) terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan model Proyek Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis sains, teknologi, teknik, dan matematika (STEM). Bagi peneliti lain, menjadikan hasil penelitian ini sebagai pedoman dan bahan pertimbangan dalam penelitian selanjutnya yang relevan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between the physical fitness levels of students who walk and ride to school. For physical education teachers, the results of this study can provide information about the importance of physical fitness for students because a good level of physical fitness in students allows them to be productive in carrying out activities so they can go about their days with enthusiasm and can achieve optimal learning outcomes. This research is a comparative research with survey method and data collection using TKJI test including 60 meter running test, sit up, push up, trunk lift, sit and rich, one leg, shuttle run and bleep test. This research was conducted on students of SMA Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan. The population is all students of SMA Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan totaling 110 students. The sample used in this research is grade XI students with a total of 40 students. The variable in this research is a single variable, namely the underhand passing skills of students of SMA Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan. In this research, the distance traveled by students from home to school is not a problem. From the results of research on differences in physical fitness levels, it can be concluded that the level of physical fitness of students walking and riding motorized vehicles to school at SMA Negeri 11 Tidore Kepulauan there is no significant difference in both female and male students. This can be shown from the results of hypothesis testing that the significance value (P Value) is greater than the alpha value (5%) or 0.05 in other words Sig> α (0.100> 0.05) so it is decided that H0 is accepted which means that there is no significant difference between the fitness levels of students walking and riding motorized vehicles to school.
