Abstract

Controversy of Sharia Law Against LGBT in Brunei Darussalam . This paper aims to discuss the application of sharia law in Brunei Darussalam, especially in sharia law for LGBT people. What about the effect of the stricter application of sharia law if applied in Brunei Darussalam. The aim of implementing Sharia law in Brunei Darussalam. Darussalam is none other than the teachings of Islam in Brunei Darussalam that have become stronger than before as a country that has always been devoted to Allah. Even though in its application, Brunei Darussalam has received harsh criticism from the world for the application of sharia law that is enforced in its country, however, criminal law hard and sharia law continues to be implemented after being postponed and finally implemented on April 3, 2019. This article uses a case study approach and analysis with qualitative methods. russlam continues to be implemented even though it has generated a lot of controversy from outside, especially regarding the stoning of adultery and LGBT perpetrators, especially from the United Nations, enforcement of this law violates human rights. The background to the adoption of sharia law is nothing more than strengthening the quality of the involvement of Muslims in Brunei Darussalam which is only for Allah.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor ketidakberhasilan calon bupati perempuan pada Pilkada Kabupaten Kudus yang merupakan kota santri pada Tahun 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa factor ketidakberhasilan calon bupati perempuan ada dua: Pertama,  faktor   internal, meliputi: kurangnya  waktu untuk  sosialisasi diri sebagai calon pemimpin perempuan, dan faktor primordialisme karena bukan asli  orang  Kudus;   Kedua,  faktor  eksternal  meliputi:  adanya money politic, dan terbentuknya  jaringan  botoh.  Maka, pertama, pendidikan politik bagi masyarakat secara masif harus dilaksanakan oleh lembaga penyelenggara maupun pengawas pemilu serta perguruan tinggi dan NGO sehingga primordialisme dan pandangan yang bias gender dari masyarakat tentang calon bupati perempuan terkikis. Kedua, penegakan regulasi tentang larangan money politic oleh lembaga pengawas pemilu mesti diperkuat bersama-sama dengan pengawasan partisipatif oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

The situation of fishermen in Morodemak Village. Demak Regency is the same as that of fishermen in general. The situation of women can be said to be “powerless” socially, economically, and culturally. The patriarchal system limits women’s rights, resulting in restrictions on women’s rights outside of family affairs. Gender issues are a major issue in the realm of development, especially human resource and economic development. Blue economy is a concept that describes economic activities that not only reduce waste, but also improve the community’s economy. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, and purposive sampling technique to determine informants. Data analysis used the three-stage Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Coastal communities are part of a pluralistic society, but still have a strong sense of solidarity. Puspita Bahari Communit’s struggle is not only about creating equal conditions, but also about strengthening the role of women in the group, respecting tradisional knowledge and skills, and actively participating in resource management and sustainable development in the region. The future opportunity is that Puspita Bahari Community could become a kind of replication , if it is institutionally good, shows clear outputs, and has a sustainable program. Then the blue economy becomes an alternative solution to strengthen and empower fisherwomen independently.

Abstract

This research analyzes the contribution of the Solidaritas Perempuan (SP) Kinasih Yogyakarta community in encouraging the creation of gender-responsive public policies in the food sector. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which examines various advocacy strategies that have been carried out by SP Kinasih, ranging from community organizing and public education to policy advocacy. The findings show that SP Kinasih has played an important role in influencing public policies at the local and national levels. However, the research also highlights the importance of building broader coalitions and strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations in facing complex challenges. Abstract
