Women around the world have the same problem that is discrimination due to patriarchal perspective. Discrimination occurs in many areas of social, cultural, political, and economic. Concerns about the condition of women is present through the womenâs movement that comes with international conventions to establish a legal protection for women. One is the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). CEDAW obliges ratifying countries to condemn all forms of discrimination and implement policies that eliminate discrimination against women. However, the effectiveness of CEDAW which is seen from three aspects, namely obligation, precision, and delegation relatively low. This allows the violation of the contents of the convention, Indonesia and Malaysia are still not able to resolve the cases of violence against women effectively. The high voter's participation in the Regional Head Election of Kudus Regency in 2018 had importance to observe. Applying qualitative approach this research try to reveal the supporting factors underlying the participative behavior in the election. It was found in the research that: Firstly, the sociological factors, such as discussion, family opinion, organizational relations, friendship interaction, working sphere, religion, and gender of the candidates; Secondly, psychological factors, which refer more to identify the candidate identities as well as the party supporters; and thirdly, rational factors, in which voters understand the vision, mission, and the program of the candidates

Geopolitical Codes of the United Dtates Policy to Relocate Its Embassy to Israel to Jerusalem. Trumpâ€™s policy to relocate the US embassy triggered Palestinian mass protests and wider political tension. Ten of thousands Palestinian took part in Gaza protests. Protests are also took place on The West Bank, where the focus was the embassy move. A mass protests turned violent, as Israeli troops responded with rifle fire. This policyraises strong reactions from world leaders. This paper aims to explain the geopolitical codes of The United States Policy : who are the allies or the supporter of the US policy in case of US embassy relocation and who are the enemies that against the US policy. We will find out whether this United States agenda will succeed in leading world opinion and influencing other countries' foreign policies and the consequences of what the United States will give to its supporters and opponents of its policies.

The Strategic Trade Policy of China in Sub-Saharan Africa Countries. In the past decade, Sub-Saharan Africa has been transformed into the 'rising continent'. The growth of the Sub-Saharan economy averages 6%. Some countries in Sub-Saharan are included in the most developed countries in the world. Economic growth, abundant natural resources, and a large population become the potential of Sub-Sahara to become a main trading partner for China as a global economic power. To enhance trade cooperation, China formed a Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Through this forum, China offers a new development model, namely the Beijing consensus by prioritizing the principle of non-interference. This research aimes to find out the strategic trade policy of China to enhance economic benefits from multilateral cooperation. This research applies descriptive qualitative research method with the strategic trade policy as the research analytical framework. This research finds that China applies some of strategic trade policy in Sub Sahara Africa : sectoral targets, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), liberation of foreign investation, and export subsidies.Keywords: FOCAC Strategic Trade Policy (STP), Sub-Sahara AfrikaÂ

Since the Regional Head Election was openly held, the community had a great opportunity to elect the candidates directly. In addition, with the openness of the elections, the community can actively nominate themselves as deputy regional heads, both men and women. Women not only participate at the legislative level, but also become candidates for regent / deputy regent and governor / deputy governor. This study focuses on the nomination of awoman candidate in the Regional Election of Kudus in 2018 and how the efforts of woman candidates to increase their electability. The method and approach used in this qualitative-descriptive assessment with data collection is done through interviews and literature studies. Kudus Regency is seen as a prospective area for woman regional head candidates because of the large woman population. The ratio of the number of man and woman populations obtained by 96.99, which shows that for every 100 woman residents there are 97 man residents. The same thing happened in every sub-district in Kudus Regency which has a sex ratio ranging from 94.24 to 98.30. In winning the vote, the woman candidate, Sri Hartini, made the election as a place to get an opportunity to be able to lead Kudus. Various strategies to increase votes through political campaigns were carried out. The use of women's identity as an effort to increase electability in the elections. Sri Hartini focused on the issue of gender equality and women's empowerment, she presented this by representing herself as a woman who was independent and empowered and able to compete with men. He believes he is capable of working in Kudus because there are more women in Kudus than men.

Islam is not limited to Â religion that only talks about God. Islam has a comprehensive concept in all aspects of life, one of the aspect is politics (siyasa) that discusses the concept of the state, the exercise of power, who deserves to exercise power, how much power they can have, and the characteristics and objectives of Islamic politics itself. Political party is a superstructure in a political system that carries out several strategic functions, including political socialization, political recruitment, political articulation and aggregation of interests. Political party also has an important position in the policy making process. This paper aims to analyze how the dynamics of Islamic politics in Indonesia in the middle of multicultural society by carrying out its function as an articulator and aggregator of interests.

Controversy of Sharia Law Against LGBT in Brunei Darussalam . This paper aims to discuss the application of sharia law in Brunei Darussalam, especially in sharia law for LGBT people. What about the effect of the stricter application of sharia law if applied in Brunei Darussalam. The aim of implementing Sharia law in Brunei Darussalam. Darussalam is none other than the teachings of Islam in Brunei Darussalam that have become stronger than before as a country that has always been devoted to Allah. Even though in its application, Brunei Darussalam has received harsh criticism from the world for the application of sharia law that is enforced in its country, however, criminal law hard and sharia law continues to be implemented after being postponed and finally implemented on April 3, 2019. This article uses a case study approach and analysis with qualitative methods. russlam continues to be implemented even though it has generated a lot of controversy from outside, especially regarding the stoning of adultery and LGBT perpetrators, especially from the United Nations, enforcement of this law violates human rights. The background to the adoption of sharia law is nothing more than strengthening the quality of the involvement of Muslims in Brunei Darussalam which is only for Allah.

Hagia Sophia and the rise of Islamic politics in Turkey. Erdoganâ€™s decision to take over Hagia Sophia as a mosque has received any responses from various parties both those who supported and critized it, from the government officials to the general public. Some of Muslim-majority countries generally support the Turkish government policy. However, domestically, the debate over this decision devide Turkish people into religious and secular parties. This paper aims to identifies why the shifted of Hagia Sophia as a mosque has become a monumental event and how its impact toward the growing of Islamic movements in Turkey.

The direct election of regional heads is a new mechanism in democracy in Indonesia where the people in a region directly elect their regional heads. It is hoped that the public will better understand the regional head candidates and choose candidates whose vision and mission is in accordance with regional needs. In the Kudus Regency Regional Election held on June 27, 2018, voter participation in this election was quite significant, amounting to 84.26%. But the disability voter participation is relatively low, that is, only 0,131% from the total of voter. This study aims to identify the lack of disability participation in local elections, forms of disability political participation, and supporting factors disability participation. This research applies descriptive qualitative research method with the political participation of disability analytical framework. The data collection techniques in this qualitative study using primary and secondary data. For primary data, researchers will conduct in-depth interviews of institutions related to the holding of the elections and will also be conducted with disability voters in Kudus Regency, both those registered as Permanent Voter Lists (DPT) and those who have not participated in the elections. As for secondary data, researchers conducted a literature review.
