Abstract

Flood disasters that occurred in Hutabargot District, Mandailing Natal Regency, caused not only physical damage but also significant psychological impacts on elementary school students. Children, as a vulnerable group, experienced difficulties in psychological adjustment (al-takayyuf al-nafsī), excessive fear (al-khawf al-mufriṭ), decreased concentration, and declining learning motivation in the post-disaster period. This article aims to examine and describe the implementation of traumatic counseling (al-irsyād al-nafsī al-‘ilājī ba‘da al-ṣadmah) at SD Negeri 124 Binanga as an effort to support students’ psychosocial recovery after the flood. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were students affected by psychological trauma, while supporting informants included classroom teachers, psychosocial counseling teachers, the school principal, and parents. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that traumatic counseling implemented through individual and group counseling, play therapy (al-‘ilāj bi al-la‘ib), expressive activities, and the integration of religious values such as patience (al-ṣabr) and trust in God (al-tawakkul) had a positive impact on students’ psychological recovery. Students showed reduced anxiety, improved social interaction, and increased concentration and learning motivation. Therefore, traumatic counseling in the school setting plays an effective curative and preventive role in strengthening children’s psychological resilience (al-munā‘ah al-nafsiyyah) following natural disasters.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of content differentiation, process differentiation, and product differentiation in Islamic religious education learning at SDN 193 Kotanopan. This study employed qualitative methods, which are used to comprehensively understand an event or activity by collecting information through interviews, observation, and documentation, then explaining the results in words rather than numbers. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was verified through triangulation and member checking. The results indicate that content differentiation was implemented by adapting material based on diagnostic assessment results to meet students' learning needs. Process differentiation was implemented using learning variations appropriate to students' styles, interests, and readiness. Product differentiation was implemented by teachers adapting the format of the final assignment so that students could demonstrate their understanding based on their individual abilities.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type in Fiqh learning at MTs Negeri 2 Mandailing Natal. The research focuses on preparation, implementation, advantages, and disadvantages of applying the STAD model. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers prepared lesson plans and teaching media appropriately. The learning process includes material presentation, heterogeneous group division, discussion activities, individual quizzes, assessment, and group rewards. The STAD model successfully increased students’ activeness, cooperation, and responsibility during Fiqh learning, although it required more time and teacher readiness.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ cognitive abilities using HSP lumi education interactive multimedia in the subject of Islamic cultural history. This study was conducted at MTsS Mardiyah Islamiyah Panyabungan using the classroom action research (CAR) method consisting of two cycles, each carried out in two meetings. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class VIII at-Tin. Data collection techniques used observation sheets, multiple choice tests, and interviews. The results of the study showed that the cognitive abilities of students increased. In the pre-action, the number of students who completed was only 7 people, who had not completed 22 people, with an average value of 59.55, and a classical completion rate of 24%, increasing in cycle I to 12 students who had completed, 17 students who had not completed, with an average value of 72.58, and a classical completion rate of 41%. And in cycle II, the number of students who completed increased again to 26 people, who had not completed only 3 people, with an average value of 84.44, and classical completion percentage of 89%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of H5P lumi education interactive multimedia can improve students’ cognitive abilities in the subject of Islamic cultural history at MTsS Mardiyah Islamiyan with an increase of 65%.
