Abstract

Transformasi digital, yang mengacu pada integrasi teknologi digital dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, menuntut generasi muda untuk tidak hanya menjadi pengguna pasif, tetapi juga memahami dan mampu menciptakan solusi berbasis teknologi. Di era serba digital, kemampuan berpikir komputasional (computational thinking) menjadi salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh generasi muda. Siswa pada tingkat SD dan SMP adalah kelompok usia yang sangat ideal untuk mulai mengenal dan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir komputasional. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan dalam pengenalan konsep berpikir komputasional di sekolah-sekolah merupakan tantangan yang signifikan di era digital saat ini. Program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis dan problem solving pada siswa sejak usia dini di Rumah Singgah “Bumi Damai”. Menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan masyarakat sebagai objek penelitiannya, secara aktif melibatkan semua pihak dalam mengkaji tindakan yang sedang berlangsung untuk mendorong terjadinya aksi-aksi transformatif ke arah kondisi hidup yang lebih baik. Dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan permainan puzzle dengan memecahkan (dekomposisi) gambar yang telah tersusun menjadi potongan kecil-kecil yang sederhana serta disusun kembali menjadi gambar yang utuh kembali. Pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan anak-anak dalam memahami transformasi digital dengan pendekatan berpikir komputasi.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the group learning model in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) through a literature study approach. The group learning model is known to have various benefits, especially in supporting the cognitive, social and emotional development of early childhood. This study uses qualitative methods by examining various literature sources such as scientific journals, books and related articles. The results of the analysis show that the group learning model is effective in improving children's cooperation, communication and self-confidence. Apart from that, this approach also creates an interactive and fun learning environment, which can motivate children to actively participate. However, the group learning model also has disadvantages, such as passive students who will be left behind, if collaboration is not effective, conflict will occur, and teacher supervision is more intensive. The successful implementation of this model depends on the competence of educators in designing appropriate activities and collaboration with parents. This study recommends strengthening training for educators to optimize the implementation of group learning models in PAUD.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze Teaching Strategies and Moral Value in the movie “Freedom Writers” by Richard Lagravanese. This research is descriptive qualitative by content analysis. The data source was taken from scene in the Freedom Writers movie. The object of this research is movie Freedom Writers directed by Richard LaGravenese. The instrument of the research is teaching strategies and moral value. In this research the researcher uses flow model analysis stated by Miles and Huberman to analyze the data, the activities in analyzing data are: (1) Displaying the data related of teaching techniques conducted by researcher and reducing unnecessary data from the movie. (2) Classifying the form of teaching techniques employed by the character in the Movie Freedom Writers. (3) Analyzing and interpreting the kinds of teaching techniques employed by character in the movie Freedom Writers. (4) Drawing conclusion from the data analysis and giving suggestion. The researcher at this stage in data processing is Drawing conclusion from the data analysis and giving suggestion in the form of a thesis. the writer found 16 total of dialogues teaching strategies in “Freedom Writers” movie by Richard Lagravanese which the highest percentages is Sociocultural – interactive strategies which consist of 7 dialogues (41%), Affective Strategy consist of 4 dialogues (24%), Cognitive Strategy consist of 3 (23%) and the last as the lowest is Compensatory Strategy consist of 2 dialogues (12%). the writer also found 17 total of dialogues moral value in “Freedom Writers” movie by Richard Lagravanese which the highest percentages is social moral which consist of 9 dialogues (53%), individual moral of 7 dialogues (41%), the last as the lowest is religion moral consist of 1 dialogue (6%).

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of using Documentary Films on students’ writing ability of explanation text. The method of this research was a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental design. The population of this research was the eleventh-grade students at one of the private schools in Tangerang Selatan in the academic year 2019/2020 with 61 pupils in total. The sample of this study was selected by purposive sampling technique and was divided into two classes; experimental class and control class. In collecting data from both classes, the researcher used a written test as an instrument. Moreover, the data from both the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by using a t-test with IBM SPSS 20. The result indicated that the post-test mean score of the experimental class was higher than the post-test mean score of the control class, 76.97 > 67.16. Then the sig. 2-tailed (ρ) was lower than the alpha, 0.000 < 0.05. It proved that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Therefore, the effect size calculation result showed 1.60, which means it is at a strong level. Therefore, it proved that there was a significant influence of using documentary films on students’ writing ability of explanation text.
