Abstract

Background: patient-oriented health services are the primary strategy for health service organizations. A good service is determined by the fact that the services provided can meet the patient's needs. Patient satisfaction is an integral part of the quality assurance of health service. This study aims to analyze the quality of tangible health services with patient satisfaction in receiving health services.Subjects and Method: Meta-analysis was performed by searching journals from direct databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed using the keywords service quality, patient satisfaction, and heat service. The inclusion criteria in this study were full text from 2010-2021, with a cross-sectional study. The data analysis was carried out by RevMan 5.3.Results: Nine articles have been analyzed, showing that the quality of service had direct evidence of an effect on patient satisfaction in accessing health services (aOR= 4.17; 95% CI= 1.78 to 9.78; p <0.001).Conclusion: The quality of direct evidence (tangible) affects patient satisfaction in accessing health services. Keywords: tangible, service, patient satisfaction.Correspondence: Siti Mar'atul Munawaroh. Abstract

Cervical Root Syndrome (CRS) is caused by spinal nerve root compression, manifesting as neck pain, sensory disturbances, and functional impairments. This study evaluates the effectiveness of combining Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Neck Calliet Exercise in managing CRS symptoms. A case study was conducted on a 52-year-old woman presenting with pain and functional limitations due to CRS. The interventions were applied in four sessions over two weeks at Ciremai Hospital, Cirebon. TENS was administered at 50-200 Hz frequency and 50-150 µs pulse duration for 15 minutes, targeting the m. splenius capitis and m. upper trapezius muscles bilaterally. The Neck Calliet Exercise included active movements, isometric contractions, and contract-relax stretching. Pain was assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), while functional disability was evaluated with the Neck Disability Index (NDI). Post-intervention results revealed a significant reduction in pain across all neck movements, with some movements achieving complete pain resolution. Functional disability scores improved from moderate (42%) to mild (28%), demonstrating enhanced cervical mobility and motor control. These findings suggest that combining TENS and Neck callit exercise provides a synergistic approach to alleviating pain and improving functional outcomes in CRS patients.

Abstract

Background: Knee OA can affect mobility in the elderly causing pain and impaired functional ability. This study aims to analyze the effect of aquatic therapy on functional ability in knee osteoarthritis patients based on the results of a number of previous primary studies..Subject and Method: This study was conducted using a meta-analysis method with articles searched using the search keywords "knee osteoarthritis" OR "osteoarthritis genu" AND "aquatic therapy" OR "hydrotherapy" OR "water exercise" AND "functional ability" OR "WOMAC" AND "Randomized Controlled Trial” OR “RCT” from PubMed, google scholar and science direct and processed using RevMan 5.3.Results: 9 RCT articles that fit into the inclusion criteria, with a total of 573 samples. Knee OA patients receiving aquatic therapy had a mean WOMAC score of 1.22 units lower than those without aquatic therapy, and the effect was statistically significant (SMD = -1.22; 95% CI -2.03 to -0.41; p = 0.003). In other words, aquatic therapy is effective in improving functional ability in knee OA patients. Conclusion: Aquatic therapy has an effect on increasing functional ability in knee osteoarthritis patients. Keywords: Osteoarthritis, aquatic therapy, WOMAC indexCorrespondence: Wita Hana Puspita.
