Abstract

The objectives of this study are to increase the activeness and students learning achievement through the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model with Discovery Learning. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 4 stages with 3 cycles. The subjects are 29 students of class VII B SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta for academic year 2019/2020.  The data collection techniques in this study are test, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique is carried out by analyzing the observation sheet and the analysis of the success of the action. Based on the research, the percentage of pre-cycle activeness data is 33.38%, the first cycle is 42.90%, the second cycle is 52.40% and the third cycle is 71.50%, while for classical completeness pre-cycle learning achievement is obtained 20.69% , cycle I 27.58%, in cycle II it increased to 44.83% and cycle III increased to 75.86%. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model with Discovery Learning can increase the activeness and students learning achievement of class VII B students of SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine students' responses to learning in the network (online) in mathematics. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection technique is questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of positive and negative statements totaling 20 statements. The questionnaire is distributed via Googleform. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The subjects are 29 students of Class XI MIPA 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Weru in the academic year 2019/2020. The result shows that the average percentage of student responses in mathematics received positive criteria. With the average percentage of students' responses to the first indicator, namely interest of 83.62% so it is included in the positive criteria. In the second indicator, motivation is 74.14% so it is included in the positive criteria. The third indicator is satisfaction at 80.17% so it is included in the positive criteria. In the fourth indicator, interest is 73.49% so it is included in the positive criteria. And the fifth indicator is the response of 75.43% so it is included in the positive criteria.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the students’ anxiety level during a microteaching lesson based on the Lesson study and determine the faktors. This study is conducted in Mathematics education Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. The subjects are the students of 6 semesters. This is a qualitative method with the data on anxiety from the questionary of HARS. interview results. Subjects are drawn using purposive sampling. Data validation is done by triangulation of the data. Data analysis was performed at the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. From the analysis 2 students with no anxiety, 3 students with light anxiety, and 3 students with moderate anxiety. Based on the results of data analysis on the degree of student anxiety during a microteaching lesson based on the Lesson study, i.e., the degree of anxiety is not anxiety, light, and moderate anxiety. Data from eight subjects that influence a student's level of anxiety: external faktors are influenced by friends and observers. Internal faktors that influence are lack of preparation for practice, lack of material preparation, lack of adaptability, and gender.

Abstract

Difficulty understanding concepts is the inability of students to understand something that has been known and remembered in a person's idea or idea based on their experience of an abstract object or event and using their own language. So that difficulties in understanding concepts can cause students to have difficulty understanding the next material or difficulty in solving problems. This study aims to describe the difficulties in understanding concepts experienced by students in solving flat building problems in grade VII A SMP Negeri 3 Jumantono for the 2023/2024 school year. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects in this study are students of grade VII A SMP Negeri 3 Jumantono for the 2023/2024 school year. The data collection technique uses tests and interviews. Testing the wetness of the data using the triangulation technique. Data analysis includes reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The result of this study is that students of grade VII A SMP Negeri Jumantono experienced difficulties (1) restating a concept by 76.19%; (2) classifying objects according to certain properties (according to the concept) by 14.28%; (3) providing examples and non-examples of the concept by 85.71%; (4) presenting the concept in various forms of mathematical representation by 66.66%; (5) developing necessary or sufficient conditions for a concept by 100%; (6) applying concepts or problem-solving algorithms by 100%.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out whether there is an influence of basic integral learning video media on learning outcomes for Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto, Sukoharjo Regency, in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study uses a type of experimental research with a quantitative approach. With a population of all class XI MIPA students at SMA N 1 Polokarto for the 2022/2023 academic year, Sukoharjo Regency, there are 142 students and 4 classes. In this study using purposive sampling technique. This consideration was taken based on the number of students between the two classes being the same and the standard deviation values being relatively the same. The two classes that became the experimental and control classes were XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 with basic integral discussion material. Learning outcomes can be seen in the hypothesis test, it is known that the value of the independent sample t-test, with H0 is accepted if tcount ? ttable and H0 is rejected if tcount < ttable by determining dk = n1 + n2 - 2 with a significant level of ? = 5%. It can be seen that tcount = -5.151 and ttable = 1.994. Then the calculation results can be seen that tcount < ttable, namely -5.151 <1.994 means that H0 is rejected., and the results of observations of student activity during activities on basic integral material the average value of the percentage of observations in the experimental and control classes , showing the results of student activity in the experimental class was higher than the control class. This can be seen from the percentage of the average value of the two observers who were carried out in the experimental class by 95% while in the control class by 83.3%. Based on the results of research data analysis, seen from the results of learning to test the hypothesis and the percentage of the average value of observations, it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning video media in helping to understand Basic Integral material on student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto, Sukoharjo Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023 .
