Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the strategies used by class teachers in overcoming reading learning difficulties of second grade students at SD Negeri 1 Sri Tanjung. This research employs descriptive qualitative research methods in the form of a case study. Qualitative research is also referred to as a naturalistic research method, as it is conducted in natural conditions. The findings of the research and subsequent discussion lead to the conclusion that a form of learning difficulty, specifically reading difficulties, was identified in Class II SDN Sritanjung. The reading difficulties observed in the field are classified as low-level reading difficulties. The strategies employed by the class teachers are not optimal, as evidenced by the persistence of difficulties in learning to read and write among a significant proportion of students. The teacher's strategy for introducing beginning reading employs a multi-modal approach, integrating the thickening of letters, the word wall method, reading book media, and a range of activities, including letter and word games, singing, the question-and-answer method, and the assignment method.

Abstract

Pantai Ekas merupakan spot wisata bahari yang terkenal dan sering di datangi oleh wisatawan baik dari luar Lombok maupun dari pulau Lombok sendiri. Pantai Ekas terletak di Desa Ekas Buana Kecamatan Jerowaru Lombok Timur. Adanya kunjungan wisatawan ke Pantai Ekas membuat peluang usaha kuliner yang berbasis bahan dasar yang banyak terdapat di Desa Ekas Buana. Sebagai wilayah pesisir Desa Ekas Buana memiliki sumberdaya hayati yang kaya, salah satunya rumput laut yang banyak tumbuh di pantai dan ada pula kegiatan budidaya rumput laut jenis Eucheuma cottonii di bulan tertentu. Pengolahan rumput laut kering menjadi puding mejadi pilihan pada pelatihan yang diadakan. Kegiatan pelatihan pengolahan dilakukan pada tanggal 9 Februari 2021 bertempat di kediaman Pak Rumawe. Kegiatan merupakan bagian dari Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Mataram Era New Normal. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu dalam mengolah rumput laut kering. Metode palaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pelatihan dan diskusi. Hasil pelatihan berupa meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu dalam mengolah rumput laut kering menjadi pudding. Puding gula merah yang dihasilkan pada pelatihan memiliki tekstur yang kokoh dan rasa yang enak. Untuk kemasan disarankan menggunakan cup khusus puding agar lebih higienis dan mudah dibawa oleh wisatawan

Abstract

of supervisory programs in each Madrasa which is categorized as accredited A, B, C and not accredited in Madrasah, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency in 2017/2018. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of supervisor performance in Madrasah aliyah in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur can be categorized quite well. Supervision activities carried out by holding class visits and direct observation of the process of implementing learning in class. The supervisor has also provided recommendations and input to the teacher on strategies to overcome each problem, but the teacher does not always follow what is recommended by the supervisor. Work achievements achieved by supervisors in the field of research are still unsatisfactory. The role of supervisors is less dominant in efforts to improve school quality. Therefore, active participation and support from the government will be needed especially in efforts to improve the performance of supervisors, madrasa principals, teachers and employees.

Abstract

The very rapid development of science and technology currently requires a country to improve the quality and quality of education in order to be able to compete with countries in the world. One way is to require learning in schools to be in line with developments in science and technology. It is hoped that the application of technology in the learning process can provide greater convenience, independence and interest for students in providing learning materials. This research aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on students' motivation and learning outcomes regarding animal life cycle material. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method with a nonequivalent control group design, where the experimental class is taught with audio-visual media while the control class is taught with a conventional learning model. The research population was all class III students, with sampling using a purposive sampling technique and the research samples were obtained, namely class III OB, totaling 20 students as the control group and class III OD, totaling 20 students, as the experimental group. The research instruments used were learning motivation questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The questionnaire data analysis technique used is validity and reliability tests, while the test data is tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty and differentiability of questions. To test the hypothesis, prerequisite tests were carried out using homogeneity and normality tests. After that, hypotheses 1 and 2 were tested using the independent t test, while hypothesis 3 used the MANOVA test. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results obtained are 1) there are differences in student learning outcomes in classes that use learning with audio-visual media, 2) there are differences in the learning motivation of students in classes that use learning with audio-visual media, and 3) there is the influence of media audio visuals on student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students in the eighth grade during the second half of the 2022–2023 school year were the focus of this research, which examines how the project-based learning (PBL) model and students' intrinsic motivation to learn affected their capacity to make mathematical connections. There was a quantitative approach to this research. Methods such as observation, interviews, documentation, surveys, and testing are used to gather data. This study used a quasi-experimental design. Because the individuals already existed before to the research, subject selection was not random. Using the total sampling approach, 66 students, representing the whole eighth grade, were selected as the population. Both tests and non-tests are used in the data collecting technique. Research consists of many stages, such as planning, execution, and data processing. Data analysis approaches involve quantitative data analysis and data quality assessment. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is known that 1) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning; 2) there is a difference in the increase in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning; 3) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning on strong learning motivation; 4) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning on weak learning motivation; 5) there is an interaction between the use of learning methods and student learning motivation on the ability to solve thematic connection problems; and 6) there is a significant influence or interaction between the use of PBL models and the level of learning motivation on mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low learning motivation and learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 01 Banjar Sari. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model on student learning motivation and learning outcomes of grade V students at SDN 01 Banjar Sari. This research uses a type of experimental research type of Quasi-Experimental research design. The method used is by quantitative research methods, with. The quasi-experimental design used in this study was a pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. This study used two classes consisting of a control class and an experimental class. In the experimental class, they will get a Problem Based Learning model, while in the control class they will get an expository learning model. The population of this study is all grade V students of SDN 01 Banjar Sari for the 2021/2022 academic year. The number of population subjects is 60 students divided into 2 classes, namely VA and VB classes, with each VA class 30 students and VB 30 students. Data collection in this study used Nonprobability sampling technique. The results of this study show that the Problem Based Learning model affects student learning motivation by 100.00, the Problem Based Learning model affects student learning outcomes by 95.00. The average score of the learning outcomes of the control class was 57.00, the average score of the experimental class was 82.83. The average value of the control class learning motivation was 85.93 and the average value of experimental class learning motivation was 90.15.
