Abstract

Kata Kunci: Media Boneka Tangan, Keterampilan Bercerita  Abstract Research Pre Experimental Design aims to understand the influence of hand puppet media on the skills of telling the story of A group children in Kindergarten Dharma Wanita Persatuan Randuagung. The subjects of the study were children of group A age 4-5 years in Kindergarten Dharma Wanita Persatuan Randuagung which amounted to 20 children. Technique of collecting data using observation. Data analysis technique of this research using Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test with Thitung <Ttabel formula. If Count is smaller than Ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Based on data analysis result obtained Thitung = 0 and T table for N = 20 with 5% significant level equal to 52, then Thitung <Ttabel (0 <8). The data shows Ho rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of hand puppet media affect the story-telling skills of children aged 4-5 years TK Dharma Wanita Persatuan Randuagung.   Keywords: Hand puppet media, Storytelling skills

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in empowering honorary teachers at SMPN 1 Umpu Semenguk Way Kanan, focusing on planning and implementation strategies, forms of empowerment, supporting and inhibiting factors, and honorary teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness of the principal's role. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design through data collection techniques including semi-structured in-depth interviews, passive participant observation, and documentation study involving the principal, honorary teachers, and vice principal for curriculum affairs. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model with stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity is tested through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results show that the principal's strategy is implemented systematically through comprehensive needs analysis integrated into the School Work Plan (RKS) and School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS), with short-term program implementation (in-house training, workshops, clinical supervision, mentoring) and long-term programs (facilitation of further studies, certification assistance, internal career paths). Forms of empowerment encompass three dimensions: professional through inclusion in training/seminars, internal IHT/KKG, and benchmarking visits; structural/managerial through assignment of coordinator/homeroom teacher responsibilities to 50% of honorary teachers, involvement in decision-making, and autonomy in developing lesson plans; and psychological/motivational through non-financial rewards, creation of fair work climate, and personal coaching/mentoring approaches.

Abstract

Students in the eighth grade during the second half of the 2022–2023 school year were the focus of this research, which examines how the project-based learning (PBL) model and students' intrinsic motivation to learn affected their capacity to make mathematical connections. There was a quantitative approach to this research. Methods such as observation, interviews, documentation, surveys, and testing are used to gather data. This study used a quasi-experimental design. Because the individuals already existed before to the research, subject selection was not random. Using the total sampling approach, 66 students, representing the whole eighth grade, were selected as the population. Both tests and non-tests are used in the data collecting technique. Research consists of many stages, such as planning, execution, and data processing. Data analysis approaches involve quantitative data analysis and data quality assessment. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is known that 1) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning; 2) there is a difference in the increase in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning; 3) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning on strong learning motivation; 4) there are differences in the mathematical connection ability of students who obtain PBL model learning with students who obtain conventional model learning on weak learning motivation; 5) there is an interaction between the use of learning methods and student learning motivation on the ability to solve thematic connection problems; and 6) there is a significant influence or interaction between the use of PBL models and the level of learning motivation on mathematical connection ability.

Abstract

Parental involvement as an active partner in the educational ecosystem is a critical factor influencing education quality. This study aims to analyze the actual condition of parental involvement, identify barriers and facilitators, and formulate strategies to enhance parental engagement at UPT SMPN 1 Umpu Semenguk, Way Kanan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in September-October 2025. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal, vice principals, committee coordinator, guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, and parent representatives, as well as observations of activities involving parents and documentation study of school programs. Data analysis utilized the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña with data triangulation to ensure the credibility of findings. Results indicate that parental involvement remains at the passive participation stage, dominated by financial contributions (85%) and formal attendance (60%), while time contributions and decision-making participation are extremely low. Primary barriers include work commitments (78%), lack of curriculum understanding (65%), and one-way communication (70%), whereas facilitators include principal leadership (85%) and student-related triggers (70%). Recommended strategies encompass enhancing two-way communication, empowering parents as mentor teams and resource persons, relevant parenting training programs, and formal recognition. The proposed partnership ecosystem model adopts Epstein's Framework of Six Types of Involvement with local contextualization to sustainably improve education quality.
