Abstract

Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit is a unique temple. The unique thing is that it is found in the reliefs carved on the walls of the Dalěm Kělod Sangsit Temple. Another interesting thing is the depiction of sexuality or scenes of sexual intercourse. The uniqueness there is different from the concept of holy places in general. Due to these problems, this research aims to explore the meaning of the reliefs of the Dalěm Kělod Sangsit Temple. The method is a qualitative approach taking the location in Sangsit Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. The results of this research are; The reliefs of Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit provide various meanings. The meaning of Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit related to the Hindu Theology Study program is; a) Meaning of Hindu Theology; Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit as a worship of Lord Śiwa. Even in the reliefs at Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit, various manifestations of God are depicted as symbols of Hindu theology. b) The meaning of Exchatology can be seen from the appearance of the reliefs at Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit which depict human life when entering the world of spirits or the world of death. c) The didactic meaning can be seen from the existence of the reliefs at Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit which depict the teachings of karma phala. Karma phala is the concept of cause and effect. The appearance on the relief of Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit tells about the punishment for spirits who commit sins in the afterlife. Based on the meaning of the reliefs at Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit, it can be concluded that the reliefs of Pura Dalěm Kělod Sangsit have a deep meaning. Hence, they are relevant as a learning medium in the Hindu Theology Study Program.

Abstract

This research is one of the studies that starts from the problem of the dynamics of megibung culture in the life of society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the occurrence of megibung cultural dynamics in the religious and socio-cultural life of society. In the research process using qualitative research types. The process of collecting data with observation, interviews, and document studies. The collected data is then analyzed so that the results are obtained that there are factors that cause megibung cultural dynamics such as ideological factors, sociological factors, and economic factors of society. The implications that occur are that they have implications for religious life, then also have implications for socio-cultural life. The dynamics that occur certainly have an impact on the religious and cultural life of society.

Abstract

Tabuh rah (traditional Balinese music) is a Balinese cultural tradition present in religious activities. Its development has sometimes undergone dynamics, but unlike in Dukuh village, tabuh rah still exists as a religious activity in yadnya ceremonies. To address this issue, a study was conducted aimed at analyzing tabuh rah from a cultural theology perspective. This is because tabuh rah, as part of Balinese culture, reflects a theological dimension. The research employed qualitative research, with data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis revealed that tabuh rah exists for various reasons, including theological, sociological, and cultural reasons. Tabuh rah is typically performed during dewa yadnya and bhuta yadnya ceremonies. Tabuh rah, as a cultural practice with a theological dimension, demonstrates the concept of cultural theology. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that Balinese culture is intertwined with theological aspects, thus presenting the concept of cultural theology. This cultural theology concept can certainly contribute to cultural preservation and strengthen theological understanding.

Abstract

Arak Bali merupakan salah satu kebudayaan Bali yang di dalamnya terdapat kebudayaan universal. Baik halnya sistem kepercayaan, sistem sosial, sistem pengetahuan, teknologi, sistem ekonomi, bahasa dan kesenian. Namun dalam perkembangannya, arak Bali memperlihatkan adanya kontradiksi. Kontradiksi yang terlihat yakni memiliki dua sisi yang bertentangan baik yang bersifat positif maupun negatif sebagai sistem kebudayaan. Namun dibalik kontradiksinya, arak Bali tetap eksis dalam kehidupan masyarakat Bali. Adapun alasan mengapa arak Bali masih bisa eksis yakni karena adanya faktor teologis, faktor sosiologis dan faktor ekonomi. Penggunaan arak Bali dalam masyarakat biasanya digunakan sebagai pendukung aktivitas reitual. Digunakan sebagai perekat hubungan solidaritas. Dari penggunaannya, maka arak Bali tentu berimplikasi terhadapa kebudayaan Bali, yakni implikasi dalam aspek teologis. Implikasi terhadap hubungan sosial, dan implikasi terhadap perekonomian masyarakat.
