Abstract

This research is one of the studies that starts from the problem of the dynamics of megibung culture in the life of society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the occurrence of megibung cultural dynamics in the religious and socio-cultural life of society. In the research process using qualitative research types. The process of collecting data with observation, interviews, and document studies. The collected data is then analyzed so that the results are obtained that there are factors that cause megibung cultural dynamics such as ideological factors, sociological factors, and economic factors of society. The implications that occur are that they have implications for religious life, then also have implications for socio-cultural life. The dynamics that occur certainly have an impact on the religious and cultural life of society.

Abstract

Tembok Village as part of Buleleng Regency is inhabited by people of different religions, namely Hindus and Muslims. The relationship between the two communities from the beginning has been based on the values ​​of tolerance. Although in some conditions there was a decline in tolerance, this was strengthened by the reconstruction of religious tolerance such as silaturahmi during religious holidays. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the importance of tolerance for a pluralistic society like in Indonesia. Activities that have a nuance of tolerance in Tembok Village can be considered in strengthening the bonds of tolerance in certain areas. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, by exploring the phenomena that occur in the field related to the social life of Hindus and Muslims in Tembok Village. The results of the field research explain that the process of reconstruction of religious tolerance is carried out during religious holidays such as Galungan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. Furthermore, regarding the implications of the reconstruction of religious tolerance, it explains that it has implications for social, cultural, and religious life. It can be concluded that the reconstruction of religious tolerance in Tembok Village is able to bring positive implications for society. Where society better understands the importance of tolerance in social life.

Abstract

Religious harmony in Indonesia is an important factor in maintaining national unity. This study attempts to describe the form of interfaith harmony at Labuhan Aji Temple, Buleleng Regency. The harmony between Hindus and Buddhists at Labuhan Aji Temple demonstrates that temples can be a place for interfaith practices through local traditions such as ngayah and the implementation of piodalan days. During piodalan days at Labuhan Aji Temple, not only Hindus carry out ngayah activities. But Buddhists also participate in ngayah preparing infrastructure for piodalan days. Thus, the purpose of this study is to provide an understanding that temples, as sacred places for Hinduism, have a space to unite communities of different faiths through the practice of local traditions. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document studies. Based on the data obtained, the results of this study are the implementation of the theology of harmony between Hindus and Buddhists at Labuhan Aji Temple, seen from the palinggih in the temple, some still use lanterns which are Buddhist ornaments and the standing of the Dwi Kwan Im statue. In addition, harmony can be seen on the piodalan day which starts from the ngayah process until during the piodalan, Buddhists wear Balinese traditional clothing and the same offerings as Hindus, such as banten.
