Abstract

Kulit udang dan tulang ikan seringkali dianggap masyarakat sebagai limbah makanan yang tidak memiliki manfaat. Kandungan kitin pada kulit udang serta kalsium pada tulang ikan dapat memiliki manfaat bagi tubuh sebagai pencegah kolesterol serta sumber kalsium yang tinggi. Pemanfaatan kulit udang dan tulang ikan yang diolah menjadi kerupuk dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah karena kerupuk merupakan jenis makanan ringan yang banyak diminati oleh berbagai kalangan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai manfaat kulit udang dan tulang ikan bagi kesehatan, serta memberikan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan kulit udang dan tulang ikan menjadi kerupuk. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan mmberikan penyuluhan mengenai kandungan dan manfaat dari kulit udang dan tulang ikan serta melakukan praktek pembuatan kerupuk yang ditayangkan melalui video. Berdasarkan pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan peserta yang diukur pre dan post pemaparan materi menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dengan nilai rata-rata pre adalah 11,15 dan post 17,07. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta menyimak materi dengan seksama, mengerti, dan memahami setiap penjelasan dari tim pelaksana pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu PKK dalam pengolahan limbah kulit udang dan tulang ikan menjadi kerupuk yang disukai oleh semua umur dengan manfaat yang baik bagi kesehatan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat mengurangi potensi pencemaran lingkungan akibat  limbah kulit udang dan tulang ikan. Shrimp shells and fish bones are often regarded as food waste. Chitin in shrimp shells and calcium in fish bones are nutritionally beneficial in providing a rich dietary calcium source and reducing cholesterol in the human body. Processed shrimp shells and fish bones that are turned into crackers can increase added value because crackers are a type of snack that is in great demand by various groups. This activity aimed to provide the public with an understanding of the benefits of shrimp shells and fish bones for health, as well as providing community skills in processing shrimp shells and fish bones into crackers. This activity was carried out by providing education about the contents and benefits of shrimp shells and fish bones as well as carrying out the practice of making crackers which was shown via video. Based on measurements of the participants' level of knowledge measured before and after the material presentation, it shows that there is a difference  in participants' knowledge with the average value pre being 11.15 and post 17.07. This shows that participants listened to the material carefully, and understood and comprehended every explanation from the service implementation team. This community service activity can increase the knowledge and skills of PKK in processing shrimp shell and fish bone waste into crackers which are liked by all ages with good benefits for health. Apart from that, this activity can also reduce the potential for environmental pollution due to shrimp shells and fish bone waste.

Abstract

Background: United Kingdom textbooks are a medium for delivering material, good material must be supported by good textbooks in accordance with the 8 ideal criteria of textbooks. Purpose: This study aims to analyze and describe the United Kingdom textbooks used in SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo Regency Method: This study uses a qualitative method with an approach to analyzing the content of textbooks. Data was obtained through an observation system on topics, language aspects, task forms for 4 language skills, and task structure in each chapter of the book. The textbook analyzed is a textbook for high school students in grade X published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in the K-13 curriculum edition in 2017 Results and Discussion: The results of the study show that of the 8 criteria for a good textbook, this book meets the 5 criteria set. The 5 criteria are having clear goals and approaches, book design and organization, language content, language skills, language topics and practice situations Conclusions and Implications: This study concludes that this book is worthy of being recommended to be used as a textbook for students. This research has implications for efforts to improve students' mastery of United Kingdom language skills through the teaching materials in the textbooks used
