Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of teachers in shaping Islamic character in young children at KB and TK Ismail Global School through a prophetic approach. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that teachers play a strategic role in shaping Islamic character by instilling values such as honesty, compassion, and discipline through exemplary behavior and a holistic approach. Furthermore, the role of parents and the collaboration between teachers and parents are crucial in supporting the development of Islamic character. The prophetic approach applied proves to be effective in internalizing Islamic values in children, reflected in daily activities both in and outside the classroom. Abstract

Waiting time is measured when the patient arrives in the ER until he is transferred to the inpatient wards. Crowding is a problem that often occurs in the ER, which can prolong waiting times, thus affecting the responsiveness and accuracy of emergency services to patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction regarding speed accuracy of service at the emergency department of Pekajangan Hospital. This study involved 150 respondens of ER patient. Accidental sampling technique was used. A descriptive correlative study was used. Data were analysed by using the chi-square test. The result of this study showed that there is no relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction in terms of responsiveness and accuracy of services in the ER (p-value = 0.820). Similar result was found in the aspect of responsiveness and accuracy of registration, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services (p-value <0,05). The result showed that there no relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction in terms of responsiveness and accuracy of service in the emergency department.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan lingkungan hidup mengalami hambatan yang bervariasi, antara lain keterbatasan perangkat pembelajaran, materi belum sesuai dengan kurikulum, keterbatasan sumber belajar dan media pembelajaran yang relevan, struktur pembelajaran belum terorganisasi dengan baik, terjadi kesalahan konsep pada materi pembelajaran serta belum diintegrasikannya teknologi di dalam pembelajaran demikian juga di masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian yakni memberikan literasi kegiatan pendidikan dan lingkungan hidup masyarakat di Desa Lengkong Kecamatan Bojongsoang Kabupaten Bandung. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan yakni tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan terlihat bahwa untuk menanamkan literasi lingkungan pada pendidikan masyarakat, maka perlu dikembangkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang ideal sesuai dengan kebutuhan perkembangan dan minat masyarakat, serta mampu memanfaatkan rasa ingin tahu masyarakat untuk mengenal dunia sekitarnya. Pembelajaran yang disiapkan harus mampu menggambarkan adanya perbedaan ide-ide edukatif yang berujung pada peningkatan literasi kegiatan pendidikan dan lingkungan hidup masyarakat.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on how diverse artistic expressions collectively function as media of religious transformation, despite their significant impact on contemporary cultural da’wah practices in local Muslim communities. It aims to explore how cultural art forms are utilized in da’wah, analyze their relevance and effectiveness in shaping religious transformation, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing art-based da’wah in Pagutan Karang Genteng. A qualitative intrinsic case-study design was employed, involving 18 purposively selected participants representing religious leaders, local artists, community figures, and audience members. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation of artistic–religious events, and document analysis, and were examined using reflexive thematic analysis. The findings reveal that diverse artistic expressions—vocal, performative, and visual—are deeply embedded in community religious life and serve as effective tools for transmitting Islamic teachings. Art-based da’wah is actively practiced and integrated into religious gatherings, youth activities, and communal events, fostering emotional engagement, increasing public participation, and contributing to observable improvements in religious attitudes and behavior. Supporting factors include strong collaboration among religious leaders and artists, cultural continuity, and youth involvement, whereas inhibiting factors involve limited resources, inconsistent institutional support, and generational differences in artistic preferences. The study concludes that art plays a key role in contemporary da’wah by enhancing religious engagement and aligning Islamic teachings with local culture, thereby providing guidance for educators, institutions, and policymakers in integrating arts into community programs, while also highlighting the need for future research employing longitudinal and multi-site designs to further understand art-driven religious transformation.

Abstract

The development of digital media has transformed Islamic da‘wah communication, requiring preachers to adapt rhetorical strategies to contemporary audiences, especially younger generations. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s rhetorical framework offers an important foundation for ethical, contextual, and persuasive da‘wah communication in the modern era. This article examines Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s rhetorical concepts and their application in Hanan Attaki’s digital preaching. Using a qualitative approach that combines literature review and discourse analysis, the study finds that Hanan Attaki’s empathetic and narrative style aligns with Al-Qaradawi’s principles of hikmah (wisdom) and mau‘izhah hasanah (good advice). His approach effectively reaches younger audiences and underscores the importance of delivery methods and contextual understanding in contemporary da‘wah. The findings reveal that Hanan Attaki’s da‘wah style reflects Al-Qaradawi’s principles of ?ikmah (wisdom), mau‘izhah ?asanah (good advice), and dialogical communication. His narrative, emotional, and contextual approach effectively attracts urban Muslim youth and strengthens audience engagement in digital spaces. However, the study also identifies challenges related to message simplification and limited theological depth. The study concludes that Al-Qaradawi’s rhetorical framework remains highly relevant for contemporary digital da‘wah communication. The study recommends integrating Al-Qaradawi’s rhetorical framework into Islamic communication education and digital da‘wah literacy programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the humanistic da'wah approach employed by the Gemar Qur'an Community in the city of Bandung in targeting young people. Humanistic da'wah emphasizes aspects of humanity, empathy, dialogue, and empowerment, which align with the spiritual and psychological needs of today's young generation. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research conducted in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to explore the strategies and impacts of humanistic da'wah applied in the Gemar Qur'an Community. The results indicate that the Gemar Qur'an Community has succeeded in creating an inclusive and transformative da'wah space by utilizing social media, Qur'anic mentoring, and a participatory emotional approach. This has positively impacted changes in religious behavior, increased interest in the Qur'an, and the formation of a spiritually strengthening community. This study recommends the replication of the humanistic approach in da'wah targeting young people across various other communities, as well as the need for synergy with educational and religious institutions.

Abstract

This study investigates the phenomenon of interfaith communication among Indonesian Muslim users of the HelloTalk language-exchange application, examining how this platform has evolved into a hybrid space of “Digital Religion”. Employing Alfred Schutz’s social phenomenology and Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as complementary theoretical frameworks, this qualitative research utilized purposive sampling to select two key informants who actively engage in interfaith discussions on HelloTalk. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted online and analyzed using phenomenological reduction. Trustworthiness was ensured through source triangulation and member checking. The novelty of this study lies in its dual-framework approach  simultaneously mapping motivational structures (Schutz) and psychological needs (Maslow) within a non-religious digital platform. The results indicate that users’ Because Motives are rooted in past positive experiences with non-Muslims and inspiration from the Prophet’s da’wah stories. Meanwhile, the In-Order-To Motives are dominated by a missionary mission to earn spiritual merit (Self-Transcendence), a desire to correct global misconceptions about Islam (Esteem and Safety Needs), and the aspiration to forge cross-cultural global connections (Love/Belonging and Esteem). The findings demonstrate that HelloTalk users deliberately sacralize a secular digital platform, transforming it into a field of spiritual service. This study contributes theoretically to Digital Religion scholarship by documenting a novel form of faith diplomacy enacted by lay Muslim users through algorithm-mediated intercultural communication, and contributes practically by informing digital da’wah strategy and interfaith dialogue programs in the Indonesian Muslim context.
