Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the halal certification program on the sales of MSMEs in the food sector in Gresik Regency. The halal certification program itself is a form of government effort to protect its citizens who are predominantly Muslim from food and drinks that are forbidden by God for consumption by Muslims. The halal certification program is mandatory for MSME actors, especially in the food sector, including in Gresik Regency. The research method uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were MSME actors in the food sector who had been halal certified in Gresik Regency. While the sample in this study was determined by the slovin method from the population. The problems that are sought to be answered through this study are: a) How is the halal certification program for MSME products in the food sector in Gresik Regency? b) How are the sales of MSME products in the food sector in Gresik Regency? and c) Is there an effect of the halal certification program on the sales of MSME products in the food sector in Gresik Regency? Data were collected through distributing questionnaires using the non-probability sampling technique, purposive technique. The results of the study showed that the halal certification program had an effect on product sales.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service is to provide understanding and capacity building of Micro and Small Enterprises in recording and bookkeeping transactions in their business. The use of accounting can be a very valuable tool for MSMEs in managing their business more effectively. Seeing the benefits generated by accounting, MSME actors should be aware that accounting is important for their companies. The use of accounting can support the progress of MSMEs, especially in financial terms. The facts in the field found that MSME actors in Domas village do not really understand the importance of recording transactions and financial reporting in the business activities carried out. Realizing this, the PKM Team assisted with the Accounting training method The training method was chosen with the consideration that this method was the most effective in realizing the objectives of PKM activities. The results of the mentoring stated that there was an increase in understanding and an increase in the ability to record business transactions carried out by showing the response of trainees which showed 85% of training participants stated that the mentoring activities were useful. The results of this assistance reinforce the importance of active participation in the campus world in developing and increasing the capacity of the business community through a series of PKM activities carried out as in other PKM results.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in driving local economic growth. However, one of the significant challenges faced by SMEs is limited access to financing, especially from conventional banking institutions. This study aims to explore the empowerment of SMEs through Sharia banking financing, which offers a more inclusive and ethical alternative in line with Islamic economic principles. The research utilizes a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative interviews with SME owners and quantitative data analysis from Sharia banking institutions to assess the extent of access and its impact on local economic improvement. The qualitative aspect focuses on understanding the obstacles and opportunities experienced by SMEs in securing financing, while the quantitative data provides an overview of the effectiveness of Sharia banking in supporting SMEs. The findings indicate that SMEs empowered through Sharia financing have shown increased financial stability, business expansion, and contributions to local economic development. However, challenges such as limited awareness and understanding of Sharia banking products remain significant. This study concludes that enhancing financial literacy and collaboration between SMEs and Sharia banking institutions is essential for maximizing the potential of Sharia-compliant financing in boosting local economies.

Abstract

Kebersihan dan kesucian Masjid menjadi hal yang sangat penting di era pandemi seperti ini, karena salah satu penyebaran virus covid-19 ini bisa melalui rumah ibadah yang didalamnya terdapat aktifitas peribadatan secara berjama’ah (berkelompok) yakni ; Ibadah Sholat, Pengajian, Majelis Taklim ataupun Majelis Dzikir dan Sholawat. Tujuan dari kegiatan adalah untuk memahamkan metode atau cara seorang Marbot Masjid (Baca: Petugas Masjid) memiliki pengetahuan dan skill (keahlian) dalam membersihkan dan menyucikan Masjid secara khusus sehingga benar-benar terjaga dengan baik dan benar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab langsung dengan pemateri disampaikan melalui dialog interaktif dan simulasi penggunaan alat-alat kebersihan yang diberikan. Jumlah sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah seluruh Marbot Masjid yang terdaftar pada Dewan Masjid Indonesia yang berada di kecamatan-kecamatan di kabupaten Gresik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini masih ada saja seorang Marbot yang tidak mengetahui tata cara membersihkan dan mensucikan Masjid dengan baik dan benar, setelah diberikan edukasi diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan akan pentingnya teknik atau metode membersihkan dan mensucikan Masjid. Selanjutnya diadakan penyaluran bantuan perlindungan sosial bagi Marbot Masjid sebagai bentuk kepedulian sosial pemerintah terhadap Marbot masjid sebagai dampak adanya pandemi covid-19.
