Abstract

Academic stress is an individual’s perception of stressors originating from academics and seeing how the individual reacts consisting of physical, behavioral, cognitive and emotional reactions (Gadzella & Masten, 2005). Various factors cause academic stress in students including pressure, conflict, frustration, coercion, and change. This research aims to determine the effect of self efficacy on academic stress in completing final assignments among migrant students at state university (PTN) X in Lampung. The population in this study were students working on final assignments or theses, who came from outside Lampung or from West Sumatra who were residing or studying in Lampung (migrant) totaling 189 students. This research is a quantitative research with a samplingtechnique of 65 students. Data collection techniques use self efficacy and academic stress scales. The data analysis technique used in this research uses statistical methods with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The research results show r=0,669 with p0,000, which means there is a positive and significant relationship between self efficacy and academic stress. Self-efficacy makes an effective contribution of 44,8% to academic stress. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive influence between self efficacy and academic stress in overseas students who are working on their final assignments at State University (PTN) X in Lampung. This means that the higher the self efficacy, the lower the academic stress behavior, and conversely the lower the self efficacy, the higher the academic stress behavior in overseas students who are working on their final assignments. The effective contribution of the self-efficacy variable is 44,8% to academic stress and the rest is influenced by variables outside this research.

Abstract

Increased internet accessibility has opened up opportunities for people to engage in various types of gaming, such as poker, online casinos, sports betting, and slot machines. This research aims to describe coping strategies for minimizing the stressful impact of online gambling addiction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study. The results of this research reveal that online gambling addiction has a serious impact on people's stress levels in Indonesia. Factors such as financial losses, uncertainty of gambling outcomes, and interpersonal tension due to excessive involvement in online gambling activities are the main causes of increased stress levels. Coping strategies to minimize the stressful impact of online gambling addiction are achieved by focusing efforts on financial management, social support, and developing entertainment alternatives. The study found that dependence on online gambling triggers significant stress in both children and adults. The stress was caused by a variety of factors, including financial loss, impaired social relationships, and psychological impacts such as anxiety and depression.

Abstract

Kecemasan dapat timbul dengan intensitas yang berbeda tingkatannya. Faktor penyebab kecemasan terdiri dari faktor internal yaitu kognitif dan biologis, serta faktor eksternal yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor di luar individu yang berpotensi memunculkan kecemasan. Salah satu cara untuk menurunkan kecemasan adalah dengan bergerak. Outbound adalah kegiatan aktivitas fisik yang di lakukan beberapa kelompok kecil dan besar dimana membutuhkan strategi, taktik, ketangkasan, olahraga dan olahrasa untuk mencapai suatu tujuan yang mengisi dari 4 (empat aspek) yaitu aspek kepribadian, aspek sosial, aspek pedagogik, dan aspek professional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas outbound terhadap penurunan gejala kecemasan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa baru yang berkuliah di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri X berjumlah 33 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, menggunakan metode pengamatan eksperimen Quasi- experimental design, didapatkan sampel sebanyak 25 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah menggunakan metode statistic dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan uji analasis deskriptif pretest and posttest pengaruh efektivitas outbond terhadap penurunan gejala kecamasan dengan rata-rata sebesar 27,20-19,20 kemudian hasil uji hipotesis pengaruh metode outbound pada penurunan gejala anxiety memakai uji paired sample t-test didapatkan nilai t sebesar 3,855 dengan Sig.(2- tailed) adalah sebesar 0,001 yang mana p<0,05 jadi dapat disimpulkan jika terdapat beda rata-rata antara metode outbound dalam penurunan gejala anxiety pretest dan posttest yang artinya ada dampak metode outbound pada penurunan gejala anxiety pada mahasiswa baru. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penurunan gejala anxiety sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara burnout academic dengan hardiness pada santri di Pondok Pesantren X. Terdapat fenomena bahwa para santri menghadapi tantangan dalam bentuk beban kerja dan tugas yang berlebih, yang dapat menghambat dan mengganggu pencapaian tujuan pendidikan di pesantren. Kondisi ini sering disebut sebagai burnout academic, yaitu kondisi fisik, emosional, dan mental yang dialami pelajar akibat stres kronis terkait tuntutan academic. Penelitian ini melibatkan 180 santri MA Pondok Pesantren X sebagai responden, dengan kriteria: (1) santri berdomisili di Pondok Pesantren X, (2) santri aktif mengikuti pendidikan formal di Madrasah Aliyah X, dan (3) pernah menjabat sebagai ketua kamar. Penelitian menggunakan skala burnout academic yang diadaptasi dari Fatimah (2022) dan skala hardiness yang diadaptasi dari Rahmi (2019). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi non-parametrik Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara hardiness dengan burnout academic pada santri, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,387. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi hardiness yang dimiliki santri, maka semakin rendah burnout academic yang dialami. Penelitian ini memperkaya literatur mengenai burnout academic dan hardiness dalam konteks pendidikan pesantren, yang masih terbatas. Temuan ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan program intervensi untuk meningkatkan hardiness dan mencegah burnout academic pada santri.
