Abstract

Understanding the dynamics of surface currents in the Bangka Strait is crucial for various maritime and coastal activities. This strait connects Likupang, a super-priority tourism destination, with other islands in North Sulawesi. These activities include navigation safety, inter-island transportation, fisheries, search and rescue operations, and marine pollution control. This study investigated the characteristics of currents in the strait using a hydrodynamic model called Delft3D. The result revealed that the currents exhibit a tidal pattern, with dominant westward flow during floods and eastward flow during ebb. Maximum sea current velocity during spring tide in the second transition monsoon occurred in September 2022, with an average speed of 102.67 cm/s. Current ellipse analysis confirmed the tidal type of the currents.

Abstract

Plants at this time are widely used as medicine because according to some research medicinal materials, plants that have the potential as medicine do not cause too many side effects. One of the plants that are used as medicine is agarwood leaves because it is known to have several medicinal properties, one of them is as an antibacterial drug. This study was conducted to find out the secondary metabolite compounds contained in agarwood leaves and to determine the MIC value of agarwood leaves methanol extract against Streptococcus sobrinus KCCM 11898 and Salmonella typhi ATCC 422, by means of agarwood leaves extracted using methanol, phytochemical screening, and antibacterial activity tests using disc diffusion method. Phytochemical screening of agarwood leaves methanol extract results revealed alkaloids, steroids and phenolics. The MIC value of agarwood leaves methanol extract toward Streptococcus sobrinus KCCM 11898 and Salmonella typhi ATCC 422 is 1.25%.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of carbon emission disclosure and green innovation on corporate value, moderated by environmental performance, among Indonesian manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. Drawing on data from annual and sustainability reports, as well as PROPER evaluations, the research employs a purposive sampling method to select 55 relevant companies. Findings reveal that carbon emission disclosure significantly enhances corporate value, indicating the importance of transparency in addressing environmental concerns and attracting stakeholders. Similarly, green innovation positively influences corporate value, highlighting its role in bolstering environmental stewardship and stakeholder approval. However, environmental performance, measured through PROPER ratings, does not significantly moderate these relationships, suggesting that while high environmental performance ratings may enhance credibility, they do not necessarily drive extensive carbon disclosure or green innovation efforts. These findings underscore the need for companies to prioritize transparent carbon reporting and proactive green initiatives to enhance both financial performance and environmental sustainability. Future research directions could explore additional variables like eco-efficiency and corporate social responsibility to further enrich understanding of sustainable corporate practices and their impact on valuation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kinerja keuangan, corporate governance dan eksternal auditor terhadap sustainability reporting di Indonesia. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah ROA (X1), DER (X2), Curent Ratio (X3), Dewan Direksi (X4), Komite Audit (X5), The Global Four (X6) variabel dependen adalah sustainability reporting (Y). Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang mengikuti penghargaan ISRA (Indonesia Sustainability Report Award) dalam kategori perusahaan besar periode 2019-2023. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi berganda SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas (ROA), likuiditas (Curent Ratio), dewan direksi, komite audit dan global four berpengaruh positif terhadap sustainability reporting, sedangkan variabel leverage (DER) berpengaruh negatif terhadap sustainability reporting.Kata kunci: kinerja keuangan, corporate governance, eksternal auditor, sustainability reporting.

Abstract

The stability index can be used by weather forecasters to predict heavy rain events. This paper examines the atmospheric stability index for the occurrence of heavy rain in Bitung City, North Sulawesi, during 2020-2021. Stability index data was obtained from the radiosonde of Sam Ratulangi Meteorological Station, Manado. The indexes studied are the Lifted Index (LI), Showalter Index (SI), K-Index (KI), CAPE, SWEAT, and Total-Totals Index (TT). The results show that heavy rain in Bitung occured when the SI, KI, SWEAT, and TT values are in the moderate category. Meanwhile, the LI and CAPE values are less representative in predicting the occurrence of heavy rain in Bitung City. Further research is needed on the relationship between the threshold value of the atmospheric stability index and the weather in Bitung City so that it can be used as a reference for weather prediction.

Abstract

The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly changed many facets of life, including how businesses operate. Among the most impacted industries, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) must adapt to these changes. One of the adaptive strategies adopted by MSME is incorporating digital technologies into their operational procedures. Restrictions on face-to-face interactions have compelled many MSME to transition to online buying and selling activities. This shift requires business owners to be prepared for digitalization as part of the new normal. With digital transformation acting as a moderating variable, this research attempts to investigate also evaluate the impact of Total Quality Management (TQM) on the financial performance of MSME. The research focuses on MSME located in the banana chips industrial center in Bandar Lampung City. The sample comprises MSME actively involved in digital marketing and transactions. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The results showed that TQM significantly and positively affects the financial performance of MSME. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that digital transformation successfully modifies the correlation between TQM and financial performance.

Abstract

Menguji pengaruh komite audit dan kinerja keuangan terhadap nilai perusahaan asuransi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia menjadi tujuan utama penelitian ini. Teknik kuantitatif digunakan dalam penyelidikan ini. Populasi penelitian ini adalah perusahaan asuransi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, yang menggunakan strategi purposive sampling untuk pengambilan sampelnya. Serangkaian uji asumsi standar, termasuk normalitas, multikolinearitas, autokorelasi, dan heterodastisitas, digunakan dalam prosedur analisis data. Temuan penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa nilai perusahaan asuransi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) dipengaruhi secara negatif dan signifikan oleh kinerja keuangan, atau hipotesis pertama (H1) ditolak dan nilai asuransi perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komite audit atau hipotesis kedua (H2) diterima.

Abstract

Ekonomi kreatif adalah kegiatan ekonomi yang menitiberatkan pada proses produksi berdasarkan kreativitas yang mampu mendatangkan nilai ekonomis. Kegiatan ini menitikberatkan pada arti pentingnya ekonomi kreatif terhadap perekonomian nasional. Dari hasil laporan kemenparekraf (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif) bahsawannya sektor ekonomi kreatif mampu berkontribusi terhadap PDB nasional. Salah satu sektor ekonomi kreatif di Indonesia adalah kriya (kerajinan tangan). Banyak produk kerajinan tangan yang telah menembus pasar dunia, tentu hal ini sangat membantu dalam hal penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan. SMK (Sekolah Menegah Kejuruan) merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang menyediakan lulusan yang nantinya siap diterjunkan ke pasar kerja. Untuk itu, sangat penting untuk membekali mereka dengan cukup informasi mengenai konsep ekonomi kreatif maupun jenis keahliannya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di SMK BLK Bandarlampung. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara sosialisasi materi mengenai konsep ekonomi kreatif dan pendampingan pembuatan produk kerajinan tangan. Dari hasil kegiatan tersebut, siswa SMK BLK Bandarlampung memperoleh pengetahuan dan wawasan mengenai ekonomi kreatif dan produknya yang nantinya akan digunakan sebagai bekal kegiatan berwirausaha.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors in Pulau Pasaran Village, Sukaraja Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung City, in marketing their salted fish products through digitalization strategies utilizing Android-based applications. The methods employed in this activity included a combination of training, mentoring, and socialization. The training provided MSME actors with the skills to use Android-based applications for marketing salted fish products. Mentoring was conducted to assist MSME actors in implementing the knowledge gained during the training. Socialization aimed to inform the community about the benefits of using Android-based applications to purchase salted fish products. The results of this activity successfully improved the understanding of utilizing digital marketing applications among salted fish producers in Pulau Pasaran. Furthermore, practical assistance was provided to ensure effective application use. This activity led to a behavioral shift among salted fish producers in Pulau Pasaran, transitioning from conventional marketing methods to digitalization strategies.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini membahas tentang upaya peningkatan kualitas produk bagi Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) di desa Paguyuban provinsi Pesawaran melalui panduan proses registrasi Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB), Sertifikasi Pangan Industri Rumah (PIRT) dan sertifikasi Halal . Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk memperkuat kesadaran dan keahlian pelaku UMKM dalam hal peraturan dan standar yang relevan untuk memastikan bahwa produk memenuhi standar kualitas yang ditentukan. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan sosialisasi untuk memberikan informasi peluang dan manfaat pendaftaran NIB, PIRT dan sertifikasi Halal. Selain itu, dukungan langsung juga diberikan kepada UMKM untuk membantu mereka dalam pengelolaan operasional dan pengembangan produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku UMKM memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang jauh lebih baik mengenai pentingnya kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan standar kualitas. Penerapan sertifikasi NIB, PIRT dan halal pada produk di desa Paguyuban memberikan dampak positif terhadap tingkat kepercayaan konsumen. Pelaku UMKM yang mengikuti pelatihan ini melaporkan peningkatan penjualan dan akses pasar yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan usaha kecil dan menengah di tingkat lokal dengan menunjukkan pentingnya pedoman untuk mencapai kualitas produk dan daya saing pasar.
