Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the average income of tobacco farmers before and after the implementation of change in tobacco tax. The study used a descriptive basic method and the determination of the sampling location was carried out intentionally (purposive sampling). The number of respondents in this study amounted to 43 respondents. Data were collected by means of interviews, observations and questionnaires. The analytical method used in this research is the total cost, revenue, income and income comparison using a paired t-test. The results showed that the average total cost of tobacco farming in 2019 reached Rp 19.184.782,7 with the average total tobacco production in 2019 reaching 1.168 Kg, an average selling price of Rp 85.298/Kg, obtained average revenue of Rp 99.655.234,65 and the average tobacco farming income in 2019 reached Rp 80.860.902. While the average total cost in 2020 reached Rp 19.399.188,7 with the average total tobacco production in 2020 reaching 1.197 Kg, the average selling price was Rp 62.686/Kg the average revenue was Rp 75.024.992,97 and the average tobacco farming income in 2020 reached Rp 55.533.276. The results of the paired t-test show that the average income of tobacco farming in the 2019 and 2020 planting seasons using a paired t-test that there is a significant difference between the average income of tobacco farmers during the harvest period before and after the implementation of change in tobacco tax.

Abstract

The largest watermelon production in Demak District, Demak Regency is in Bango Village, reaching 7.91/ton and a harvest area of 46/ha with a productivity of 17.2 tons/ha per year based on data from BPS in 2022. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect production, return to scale and efficiency of using Inul watermelon farming production factors. The research was conducted in June 2023, using the survey method.    The determination of respondents by purposive sampling was farmers who were active as members of farmer groups and were planting Inul watermelons, as many as 36 farmers.  Primary data collection through interviews using questionnaire guidance. Secondary data comes from BPS and literature literature. The production function uses the Cobb-Douglas production function. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis, scale-up analysis of results and production efficiency analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, production factor factors, namely land area, KNO3 fertilizer and pesticides have a real effect on the 95% confidence level while NPK seeds and fertilizers have a real effect on the 90% confidence level. The sum of elasticity in the Cobb Douglas production function is 0.621 < 1, meaning decreasing returns to scale.    The ratio between the marginal product value (NPM) of production factors and the price of production factors for land area of 4 means that it is not yet efficient. Meanwhile, seed production factors, NPK fertilizers, KNO3 fertilizers and pesticides with NPMXi / HXi values < 1 mean that the allocation of production factors is inefficient.   The use of production factors needs to be increased and the use of seeds, NPK fertilizers and KNO3 fertilizers and pesticides needs to be reduced according to the land area.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the influence of five production factors, namely land area, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, labor, and pesticides, on the amount of rice production in Purwosari Village, Semarang. The method used is a case study involving 61 rice farmers in the village. Data analysis was carried out using the Cobb-Douglas production function, production scale, and economic efficiency. The research results show that all production factors together have a very significant influence on the amount of rice production. However, when analyzed individually, only land area, urea fertilizer, and NPK fertilizer had a significant effect. Labor and pesticides did not show a significant effect on rice production. The scale of rice production in Purwosari shows an increasing trend. The economic efficiency of using production factors shows that the use of land, urea fertilizer, and NPK fertilizer has not reached optimal levels (NPM/BKM >1). On the other hand, the use of labor and pesticides is classified as inefficient (NPM/BKM <1). In conclusion, this research recommends increasing land use, urea fertilizer, and NPK fertilizer to increase rice production in Purwosari. On the other hand, the use of labor and pesticides needs to be optimized to achieve better efficiency.

Rice milling is a meeting place between production, post-harvest, processing, marketing, and rice so that it is an important link in supplying national rice which is required to be able to contribute to the provision of rice, both in terms of quantity and quality. This study aims to find out the total cost, total revenue, total income and feasibility analysis of  rice milling business. Mansyaul Huda in Trimomukti Village, Candipuro District, South Lampung Regency. The method used in this study is using quantitative analysis, which is one type of research that aims to analyze factually and accurately, while the implementation method carried out in this study is the case study method. The results of the study show that the total cost incurred by rice milling is Rp.6,624,056,325, total revenue is Rp.7,545,260,000, total income is Rp.921,203,675 and business feasibility analysis with a result of 1.13. The results of the study mean that the  rice milling business. Mansyaul Huda is very profitable and worthy of effort or it can also be interpreted that every rice milling business spends or sacrifices a cost of Rp. 1,- then gets a revenue of Rp.1.13 in the rice milling business. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze food crop priorities using assessment criteria from the Location Quotient analysis and Shift Share analysis of Kendal Regency. The analysis methods used in the study are Location Quotient and Shift Share. The data used in determining these priorities are from time series data in Kendal Regency. The results of the Location Quotient analysis show that Sukorejo District is the only area that has four superior commodities, namely soybeans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Meanwhile, based on the Shift Share analysis, there are 2 districts that have superior commodities, namely South Kaliwungu District has three commodities with rapid growth, namely peanuts, green beans, and sweet potatoes, while Patebon District excels in rice, corn, and green beans. In addition, corn commodities in Patean, Gemuh, and Kangkung Districts are categorized as priority 1 because they have a major contribution to driving economic growth in the agricultural sector in the area
