Abstract

Berdasarkan konsep gaya belajar yang dimiliki peserta didik, maka peserta didik memiliki kekuatan dan kelemahan dalam belajar. Saat guru menerapkan gaya belajar yang tidak sesuai dengannya maka akan memepengaruhi hasil belajar. Oleh sebab itu penting kiranya untuk mengidentifikasi gaya belajar peserta didik. Salah satu sekolah di Kota Padang yaitu SMP Al-Azhar 32 Padang memiliki prestasi yang cukup banyak, walaupun termasuk sekolah swasta, namun tetap memiliki daya saing yang tinggi. Melihat prestasi yang dimiliki sekolah tersebut peneliti tertarik melakukan identifiksi gaya belajar peserta didik di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan menggunkan teknik non-probability sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VII A (Ar-Rahman) dengan 18 anggota kelas. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket identifikasi gaya belajar peserta didik. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa 1) gaya belajar peserta didik kelas VII A (Ar-Rahman) didominasi oleh peserta didik bergaya belajar visual, 2) guru tidak dapat menekankan hanya pada satu gaya belajar peserta didik, sebaiknya divariasikan, 3) penentuan gaya belajar yang akan digunakan juga tergantung pada karakteristik mata pelajaran tertentu, 4) penentuan model, metode dan media membutuhkan adanya identifikasi gaya belajar.

Abstract

Preliminarily, it was found that there are some problems faced by teachers in teaching and learning process. The problems are the teachers still implement classical rather than cooperative learning. Moreover, it is hard for them to make students active in the classroom, especially in asking questions and delivering ideas or opinions. Furthermore, it is also hard for them to develop students' curiosity in learning process. To overcome these problems, one solution which can be used is implementation of example non example method. The purpose of the research was to know the effect of example non example method on students' competence. It was a quasi experimental research. It was done in SMPN 18 Padang to VII grade students. Purposive sampling technique was used to take samples. The data were obteined through observation sheets for psychomotor competence. The technique of data analysis used Mann-Whitney U-Test in assistance of SPSS software. The findings show that the example non example method has significant effect on students' psychomotor competence.

Abstract

Biology learning involves real-world problems including biodiversity, plants, and animals, as well as those important to students' daily lives. Biology learning in the 21st century is meant to give students active, relevant, and contextual learning, and it is directly tied to digitalization. This study aims to investigate the problems and challenges in teaching biology in public high schools in Kerinci Regency, Indonesia, in light of the needs of the 21st century. This is a survey study using qualitative data. A questionnaire was used as an instrument. Simple random sampling is used in the sampling procedure. The study included 166 students and 14 high school biology teachers who participated in this study from across Kerinci Regency. The Miles and Huberman approach is used in the data analysis technique, aided by the Atlas. ti 22 program. According to the findings, high school biology students and teachers in Kerinci Regency face several problems related to the biology study, including 1) latin language (biological terms); 2) laboratory (practicum); 3) material references (package books); and 4) learning that is considered uninteresting. The main challenges by biology teachers in the 21st century is adopting student-centered, active, meaningful, collaborative, and interesting learning. Technology is always evolving in the 21st century, biology teachers need to become more technologically and digitally literate.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and economic motivation of PKK members of the new Mampun village through local plant-based ecoprint training. The activity was held in Mampun Village only on December 5, 2025 with a total of 12 participants PKK members. The method used is participatory training through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaires which included four aspects, namely knowledge, attitudes, skills and confidence, as well as motivation for economic empowerment. The results show an improvement in all aspects. The knowledge aspect increased from 63.33% to 90.67%; attitude from 65.33% to 90.67%; skills from 58.67% to 88.00%; and economic motivation from 62.67% to 88.67%. These results show that ecoprint training is effective in increasing the capacity and independence of PKK members in Mampun Baru based on local potential and creative economy.
