Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), by 2025 the target is to increase the rate of exclusive breastfeeding by 50%. Based on the 2022 SDKI, the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is 40%. Meanwhile, exclusive breastfeeding coverage meets the minimum target of 50%. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving moringa leaf pudding (moringa oleifera) on breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers at the nilam sari community health center in Bukittinggi City in 2024. The type of research used was quantitative with a quasi-experiment design with a one group pretest and posttest approach. The population in this study was all 48 breastfeeding mothers in the Patchouli Sari Health Center in Bukittinggi City in 2024, with a sample of 14 breastfeeding mothers. The intervention used in this research was giving Moringa leaf pudding to breastfeeding mothers and consuming it in one shot, given twice a day in the morning at 8 o'clock and in the afternoon at 5 o'clock for 7 days. The research results showed that the average volume of breast milk before the intervention given Moringa leaf pudding was 31.65 ml with a minimum of 28.4 and a maximum of 40.0. The average volume of breast milk after intervention was 51.22 ml with a minimum of 30.2 and a maximum of 71.4. The analysis used is univariate bivariate. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed that (p=0.000), meaning that there was an effect of giving Moringa oleifera leaf pudding on the volume of breast milk in breastfeeding mothers. Suggestions for mothers to make Moringa leaf pudding an alternative way to improve breast milk production. Keywords: Moringa Leaf Pudding, Breast Milk Production, Breastfeeding Mothers

Abstract

The purpose of the public discussion is to educate students, particularly teenage girls, on the use of experience materials to treat menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). This program is implemented by using the School Health Unit as a media outlet to facilitate education and use ginger-boiled water and green coconut water as a substitute for menstrual pain. Through study and instruction, teenage girls learn about the benefits of ginger and green coconut, which contain natural compounds that can help reduce pain. As an easy, safe, and pleasant way to lessen the severity of menstruation, ginger boiled water, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties, as well as green coconut water, which will be electrolyzed and include antioxidants, is recommended. Along with teaching, this program teaches students how to properly handle and consume both of these materials so they may use them independently. It is hoped that through this activity, teenage girls will have useful solutions to deal with dysmenorrhea and that they will also increase their awareness of the importance of reproductive health.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017, around 830 women died every day due to complications during pregnancy or childbirth. In Indonesia, 75% of women who give birth vaginally experience perineal wounds and some of these wounds have the potential to become infected. In the Tanjung Emas Community Health Center working area, out of 23 post partum mothers, 4 people (27%) experienced slow wound healing. One cause of infection is poor perineal care. The cause of the high infection rate is due to a decrease in the body's resistance in mothers who are susceptible to infection. To reduce the risk of maternal death globally from 216.1 million live births in 2015 to 70 per 100,000 live births in 2030.Purpose:The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of warm water compresses on the vagina on healing perineal wounds in post-partum mothers. Methods: The design of this research is a two-group post test only control group design. The population in this study was all postpartum mothers (0-40 days) from December-March 2024 who gave birth in the Tanjung Emas Community Health Center Working Area, namely 23 people. The sampling technique used is a non-probability sample using the sampling technique method in this research using purposive sampling, namely 8 intervention groups and 8 control groups. Results: The results of this study were that the average wound healing was 5.5 and in the Control Group 6.5 days with a mean difference of 1 day and SD = 0.926. The results of calculations using the Paired T-Test showed p value = 0.039 (p < 0.05), which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning there is a significant influence between the effect of warm water compresses on the vagina on healing perineal wounds. Conclusion: Further research may be carried out to develop research on other effective methods for healing perineal wounds in pregnant women.
