Abstract

Along with effort transformation in field education , technology education have very important role. In article this outlined about application technology education area development. For get inside data article this, done study descriptive qualitative with use method observation and interview to three lecturers Christian religious education and some students in the faculty psychology, faculty agriculture and faculty technique. From fifth area technology education, by special article this discuss application technology education area development in Christian religious education in the digital age concerns aspect technology print, audio visual technology, technology based computer and multimedia technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Mentimeter as a learning media on increasing students' interest in learning in the subject of Christian Religious Education in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 4 Teladan Medan. This research employed a quantitative method with an experimental design. Data were obtained through pretest and posttest, as well as questionnaires measuring students' learning interest. The results showed a significant increase in the average posttest scores compared to the pretest. The average pretest score was 12.133, while the posttest score increased to 15.97. The t-test revealed a calculated t-value of 4.27, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.699, indicating that the use of Mentimeter had a significant impact on increasing students' learning interest. Moreover, Mentimeter's interactive features, such as polling and Word Cloud, were able to enhance students' active participation and create a more engaging and interactive learning environment. Based on these findings, Mentimeter proved to be effective as a learning medium for improving students' interest and engagement in the learning process.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Mentimeter terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Teladan Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Data diperoleh melalui tes pretest dan posttest, serta kuesioner yang mengukur minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata nilai posttest dibandingkan dengan pretest. Rata-rata nilai pretest siswa adalah 12,133, sementara rata-rata nilai posttest meningkat menjadi 15,97. Uji t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 4,27 yang lebih besar dari t-tabel 1,699, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Mentimeter berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa. Selain itu, fitur interaktif Mentimeter, seperti polling dan Word Cloud, mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dan menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Berdasarkan temuan ini, Mentimeter terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar.
