Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Tri Sapta Jaya, a medical equipment distributor company. The product distribution to consumers was inefficient due to using traditional methods. The division of regions and determination of delivery routes was based on districts and cities. The existing delivery method faced various challenges, including delivery delays and inefficient routes. This inefficiency results in potential financial losses for the company in terms of delivery costs. To assist the company in improving delivery efficiency, this research focuses on determining vehicle routes considering vehicle capacity (Capacity Vehicle Routing Problem). In solving and searching for solutions, the research uses Simulated-Annealing algorithm. The algorithm generated an initial solution randomly and improved the solution by changing the positions of consumers within a route and switching positions of consumers between routes to obtain the best solution. The computation time of the developed Simulated Annealing algorithm was quite efficient, taking only 2 seconds for 25 consumers. Based on the data from PT Tri Sapta Jaya, the best solution obtained was 615,319. This result was achieved using the Simulated Annealing algorithm with the parameters T0 = 100,000, Ta = 1, and α = 0.9.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah merupakan isu sangat krusial, dan pembakaran sampah juga menjadi salah satu penyebab buruknya kualitas udara. Untuk mengurangi polusi lingkungan, pembuatan eco enzyme dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk menangani masalah sampah, khususnya sampah rumah tangga. Eco enzyme merupakan cairan hasil fermentasi sampah organik, seperti sisa-sisa buah dan sayur. Melihat banyaknya manfaat dari eco enzyme, maka kegiatan pelatihan pengolahan sampah menjadi eco enzyme penting untuk dilakukan kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dengan tema optimalisasi pemanfaatan energi terbarukan dari limbah organik menjadi briket dan eco enzyme bertujuan untuk melatih penduduk Kampung Sawah, Rumpin, Bogor, agar mampu mengolah sampah organiknya dan memanfaatkannya untuk berbagai kebutuhan sehari-hari. Kegiatan PKM ini tidak hanya diminati oleh ibu-ibu (wanita) saja tetapi juga ada pria yang ikut sebagai peserta. Setelah kegiatan pelatihan, peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dengan penyampaian materi yang sangat informatif. Peserta juga mengharapkan program pelatihan ini dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan misalnya seperti memasarkan hasil eco enzyme ataupun pengolahan sampah dengan metode lainnya seperti pembuatan briket agar mendapatkan manfaat lebih optimal.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan menjadikan taman Poly Sekar Asri yang terletak di perumahan Politeknik Negeri Jakarta seperti target obyeknya. Diharapkan pengabdian ini dapat mengembangkan taman sehingga tetap subur dan memiliki manfaat yang tetap terjaga. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diusulkan dengan konsep “Instalasi Sistem Penyiraman Tanaman untuk Taman Poly Sekar Asri Perumahan Politeknik Negeri Jakarta”. Berdasarkan konsep tersebut, maka tujuan utamanya adalah melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sebagai syarat Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Secara khusus, tujuan lainnya adalah membuat sistem instalasi penyiraman tanaman pada taman tersebut, sehingga terjaga kelestatrian dan kebermanfaatannya. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan melakukan riset berupa survey ke taman tersebut. Masalah yang muncul adalah luasnya lahan yang perlu disiram. Data tersebut dijadikan dasar bahwa perlu adanya sistem pengairan yang mudah, tetapi dapat mencakup seluruh area taman. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah peralatan pompa, sistem penyiraman tanaman, dan pelatihan penggunaan alat dan cara perawatannya, sehingga dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat sekitar taman. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memudahkan masyarakat melakukan penyiraman pada taman tersebut dan meningkatkan kualitas dari taman Poly Sekar Asri tersebut.

Abstract

Universities are required to produce quality graduates according to the constant developments. To get quality graduates, universities must adjust the curriculum according to what is needed so that workforce absorption is in line with market demand. Collaboration mechanism becomes a way to collaborate with other parties to develop and increase the competitiveness of higher education, strengthen the image and quality of higher education. One way for Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) to keep up with the change in of business and industry sector is to collaborate with industry, and in this case is with Mitras DUDI. The research used qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. This research aimed to present the phenomenon of the superiority of the cooperative class mechanism from the perspective of students, universities, and users (industry), as well as to see the absorption of cooperative class graduates by using data triangulation to ensure the quality and completeness of the data. Based on the results of data processing obtained from interview methods, participant observation, and document record analysis, an explanation regarding the phenomenon of the superiority of the cooperative class mechanism was obtained from the perspective of students, universities, and users (industry) through the cooperative class program. One of the advantages is that there is a greater opportunity for the cooperative class graduates to compete and work in the industrial and business sectors.

Abstract

PT Nandya Karya Perkasa is a manufacturing company that produces motor vehicle spare parts. PT Nandya Karya Perkasa supplies its products to several automotive companies. The company faces issues with its inventory due to frequently fluctuating demand, often leading to order cancellations. Data from the past three months shows the company had to cancel approximately 19% of orders. This issue arises because of the limitations of the previously used application. Some crucial data, such as stock levels, which should support decision-making, is still missing, as the existing system only focuses on recording goods' inflows and outflows. This study aims to propose improvements to the use of the Inventory Management System application to facilitate the planning department in planning the production process, ensuring the availability of goods in the warehouse to meet all consumer demands. The method used to address this problem is a web-based application for monitoring goods, which can provide feedback for production planning improvements in case of demand changes. The system is developed using the Prototype method. A two-month trial has shown a reduction in order cancellations to 11%.

Abstract

Organic food waste accounts for the largest category of waste, comprising 40.8% according to data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN). The high volume of this waste encourages alternatives for utilizing and processing household waste. One alternative method is producing an eco-enzyme, a liquid resulting from the fermentation of leftover fruits and vegetables. Its numerous uses and benefits have led to eco-enzyme development as an alternative method for processing household organic waste. To introduce this method, a Community Service (PKM) activity themed 'Development and Application of Eco Enzyme for Household Organic Waste Management' was conducted in the Kampung Lio area, Depok. This activity aims to enable the residents of Kampung Lio, Depok, to process their organic waste into eco enzyme and utilize it for various daily needs, such as floor cleaner, vegetable and fruit wash, insect repellent, plant fertilizer, disinfectant, laundry soap, bath soap, shampoo, toilet cleaner, and many other uses. After this activity, all participants started to implement their knowledge by processing their household organic waste into an eco enzyme because it has many benefits and simultaneously processed household waste.

Abstract

Plastic is a synthetic material that is inseparable in everyday human life since it is used for various purposes. The massive utilization of plastic in Indonesia faces a danger of plastic waste that threatens the natural environment. Bogor Regency of Indonesia handles 2,747/day/capita tons of waste with Cibinong as the District that contributes the most, in which it produces 183/day/capita tons of waste. Concerning the urgency of the problem, lecturers from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta decided to contribute in providing education about waste, especially plastic waste (inorganic) to the community in Pondok Rajeg Village, Cibinong District. The importance of this activity can be seen from the results of the questionnaire, where 100% of participants stated that they actively use plastic in their daily lives, with 10% of participants do not understand that plastic has negative effect on human being health. In addition, 50% of counselling participants still do not know that plastic takes 10-20 years to decompose, and only 30% of participants pay attention to the types of plastic used in their daily lives. In this program, participants are also given the information about the types of plastic and their uses, an introduction to BPA free, as well as actions that can be taken by the community themselves to reduce the use of plastic, for example by sorting waste, establishing waste banks, and using and bringing their personal shopping bags alike. Keywords—waste, thermoplastic, community service, Cibinong, BPA free Abstrak Plastik merupakan bahan sintesis yang sudah sangat dekat dengan kehidupan manusia sehari-hari dan digunakan untuk berbagai keperluan. Tingginya penggunaan plastik di Indonesia menimbulkan bahaya limbah plastik yang mengancam lingkungan, tidak terkecuali di kabupaten Bogor. Kabupaten Bogor menangani sampah sebanyak 2.747/hari/kapita ton dengan kecamatan penyumbang sampah paling tinggi adalah Kecamatan Cibinong yaitu 183/hari/kapita ton sampah. Melihat urgensi permasalahan dosen-dosen jurusan Teknik Mesin PNJ tergerak untuk memberikan sumbangsih dalam memberikan edukasi mengenai sampah terutama sampah plastik (anorganik) kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Pondok Rajeg, Kecamatan Cibinong. Pentingnya kegiatan dapat dilihat dari hasil kuesioner dimana 100% peserta menyatakan aktif menggunakan plastik pada kehidupan sehari-hari, dengan 10% peserta tidak mengetahui bahwa plastik memiliki potensi bahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Selain itu, 50% peserta penyuluhan masih belum mengetahui bahwa plastik membutuhkan waktu 10-20 tahun untuk terurai, dan hanya 30% peserta yang memperhatikan jenis plastik yang digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada pelatihan ini, peserta diberikan informasi mengenai jenis-jenis plastik dan kegunaannya, pengenalan BPA free, serta tindakanyang dapat dilakukan oleh masyarakat untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik misalnya adalah dengan gerakan memilah sampah, bank sampah, dan langkah paling sederhana adalah menggunakan dan membawa kantong belanja sendiri. Abstract

Service quality is crucial for companies in the service sector, directly impacting customer satisfaction. PT BLI, a company offering TPS warehouse rental services, is facing issues with a low influx of containers and customer complaints. This research aims to analyze the service quality at PT BLI's warehouse storage section using the Servqual method, which encompasses five quality dimensions and 24 attributes, followed by Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to identify attributes that require immediate improvement. The Servqual analysis revealed that 10 attributes of PT BLI's service quality do not meet customer expectations. Through IPA, five attributes were identified as high-priority for improvement: the safety of goods in the warehouse (gap of -0.07), the informativeness of employee service regarding activity updates (gap of -0.14), the speed of employees in processing goods in and out of the LCL warehouse (gap of -0.34), the ability of employees to understand consumer needs (gap of -0.01), and the communication skills of employees in providing excellent service (gap of 0.32). Addressing these critical service quality gaps will help PT BLI enhance customer satisfaction, reduce complaints, and potentially increase the number of incoming containers, positively impacting the company's standing in the warehouse rental industry.

Abstract

PT Sinar Mas Andhika menghadapi masalah dalam proses pengiriman barang. Ketidakseimbangan rute berdasarkan jam aktual dan jumlah barang yang dikirim berbeda-beda. Hal ini menyebabkan ada armada yang kembali terlalu cepat, sementara yang lain terlalu lama. Beban kerja operator pengiriman yang menjadi tidak seimbang dan keterlambatan pengiriman sering terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyeimbangkan rute dan mengoptimalkan jumlah armada yang digunakan dalam pengiriman barang di PT Sinar Mas Andhika dengan mempertimbangkan batasan jam aktual pengiriman. Permasalahan Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) ini merupakan varian Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem (HVRP) karena kapasitas armada pada PT Sinar Mas Andhika yang berbeda-beda. Dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan ini maka dipilih Metode algoritma sweep untuk membentuk kelompok rute dengan mengalokasikan 19 titik tujuan berdasarkan koordinat polar, menggunakan aplikasi GeoGebra sebagai alat bantu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rute baru yang dihasilkan berjumlah 5 rute pengiriman, memungkinkan perusahaan untuk menggunakan hanya 5 armada. Usulan perbaikan ini menghasilkan penghematan waktu sebesar 17,32%, penghematan jarak tempuh sebesar 20,47%, dan penghematan biaya pengiriman sebesar 21,51% atau Rp 46.136,50 per hari. Selain itu, utilisasi kapasitas kendaraan meningkat karena pembagian muatan yang lebih merata, dengan hanya 2 kendaraan mengalami pengurangan muatan yang sudah dialokasikan ke armada lainnya. Implementasi usulan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional PT Sinar Mas Andhika, mengurangi biaya, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dengan layanan pengiriman yang lebih andal dan tepat waktu.
