Abstract

Abstract

In the electrical energy distribution system, power distribution systems, especially in the SUTM network, SKTM, and 20 kV distribution substations, can experience various obstacles that stop the distribution of electrical energy to consumers. In addition, various disturbances also cause damage to electrical equipment. One way to minimize or minimize the outage area and damage to various components that are electrified due to interference, a protection system is needed. More specifically, in avoiding the duration (SAIDI) and frequency (SAIFI) of customer outages, it is necessary to set the protection relay properly as a form of protection or protection so as to minimize the position and place of interference. Coordination of the protection system pattern of a network is said to be good if it can minimize the number of outages as small as possible based on the distance and location of the disturbance. After calculating the protection coordination system with ETAP simulation. In the ETAP simulation, the sequence of protection coordination has run well and the protection works in the correct order according to the calculation settings that have been input. The advantage of good protection system coordination is that if there is a disturbance at one point of the distribution network, it does not interfere with the production process in other distribution networks so that the number of outages can be reduced and the affected area can be localized as small as possible. The results of the coordination of the installed protection system on the distribution network utilizing ETAP can be seen that the existing OCR and GFR settings are still not good, for example, if there is a disturbance in the LH 04 feeder network, the relay sequence that releases the contact is LH 03, causing many customers to go out that should not be included. resetting OCR and GFR protection on the distribution network can be based on the fault current that occurs along the network. Overcurrent disturbances are used for low setting and high setting on OCR and GFR protection, for curve characteristics using inverse time standards combined with instantaneous relays. By resetting the OCR and GFR on the distribution network, the reliability of the protection system coordination and the selectivity of the protection sequence are better than the existing conditions so as to create an ideal protection system coordination.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a positive single strain RNA virus that infects the respiratory tract. This virus spreads quickly, the only way is to prevent it. As time progressed, the conditions of transmission became more widespread and took many victims, ranging from adults, teenagers to children. This virus can attack anyone, this virus can also attack children with special needs. Children with special needs are children with special characteristics that are different from children in general without always showing mental, emotional, or physical disabilities. One of them is mental retardation. The more widespread the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the application and knowledge of health protocols must also touch the mentally retarded. This obstacle will affect them to adjust to the implementation of health protocols every day and homework for SLB C Muzdalifah to provide a safe place for students. Prepare students and teaching units in the implementation of New Normal Education. And Educate students so that they apply health protocols at all times. The approach method used in this community service is socialization through posters of health protocols and placement of hand sanitizers. Information on preventing the spread of covid 19 through posters and placing hand sanitisers in the SLB C Muzdalifah area as a reminder and teaching regularity in implementing health protocols. This information is expected to become a habit in the New Normal.

Abstract

Electricity plays a vital role in human life, so serious efforts are needed to ensure its reliable distribution. One of the main issues in electrical systems is short-circuit faults, which can cause equipment damage and widespread power outages. To minimize the impact of such faults, a protection system that is reliable, adequate, and well-coordinated is essential. A good protection system must meet several criteria, such as proper selectivity, the ability to quickly respond to disturbances to reduce equipment damage, high sensitivity to detect even the smallest faults based on regulated current levels, and efficient coordination and backup in case the main protection fails. It must also remain stable against external disturbances. To achieve reliable protection coordination, simulation is necessary. One tool that can be used is ETAP 21.0.1 software. ETAP helps in modeling the electrical network, calculating short-circuit currents, and evaluating the performance of primary and secondary protection coordination. The simulation results show that short-circuit current values vary at each busbar point depending on the system impedance and network configuration. Through this simulation, settings like the Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) and pickup current can be adjusted to improve relay coordination, making it more selective and reliable. This study provides valuable insight into the reliability and safety of the electricity distribution operating system in the Sabang ULP area.
