Abstract

Sampah dengan sengaja dibuang ke Sungai Deli seperti ban, wadah plastik, barang rongsokan lainnya dan bahkan puing bangunan dengan maksud menyediakan habitat bagi organisme akuatik. Namun demikian, materialsampah yang tak sedap dipandang dan merupakan tanda kelalaian manusia yangmengabaikan nilai-nilai estetika dan ekosistem alam. Walaupun upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan terus dilakukan, beberapa orang masih menggunakan sungai sebagai tempat pembuanganuntuk barang-barang yang sudah tidak diinginkan, termasuk sofa dan kasur, suku cadang kendaraan, sepeda, keranjang belanja, tas, wadah bahan bakar, dan kaleng cat. Meskipun telah ada peraturan pelarangan sampah, tampaknya kesadaran masyarakat sangat menurun. Peraturan perlindungan kualitas airpun diabaikan secara sengaja. Sungai yang terletak pada daerah yang rendah, menyebabkan sampah mengalir secara gravitasi menuju sungai. Sungai Deli merupakan salah satu dari delapan sungai yang ada di Kota Medan, provinsi Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Pencemaran Sungai Deli, 70 persen di antaranya diakibatkan limbah padat dan cair. Limbah domestik padat atau sampah yang dihasilkan di Kota Medan 1.235 ton hari. Perlindungan kualitas airpun terabaikan. Perlunya upaya pengelolaan dalam penanggulan pencemaran sungai akibat sampah. Dengan menggonakan proyeksi timbulan sampah dan Analisa SWOT dapat diketahui program pengelolaan Sungai Deli. Aliran sungai Deli juga terletak di Kelurahan Hamdan. Kelurahan ini memiliki wilayah seluas 52 ha yang terbagi ke dalam 10 lingkungan. Luas Permukiman kelurahan Hamdan adalah 14,93Ha. Jumlah Penduduk pada tahun 2017 2.736 jiwa Jumlah Kepala Keluarga 633 jiwa. Dari hasil analisa pemilihan metode terbaik untuk proyeksi jumlah penduduk diperoleh kelayakan metode geometri. Proyeksi penduduk dihitung untuk mengetahui jumlah timbulan sampah sehingga diketahu proyeksi timbulan sampah. Berdasakan analisa SWOT hasil skoring terhadap faktor/lingkungan internal diperoleh total nilai kekuatan: 22, total nilai kelemahan: 25 sehingga posisinya adalah -3. Sedangkan hasil skoring eksternal diperoleh total nilai peluang: 25, total nilai ancaman: 30 sehingga posisinya adalah -5. Posisi faktor internal dan eksternal sub-sektor persampahan pada kuadran ini menunjukkan bahwa kelemahan dan ancaman lebih dominan daripada kekuatan dan peluang.

Abstract

Sumber daya air menjadi salah satu kekayaan alam yang penting karena air merupakan hal pokok bagi konsumsi dan sanitasi umat manusia, air juga sebagai sarana pengangkutan di belahan dunia, sarana rekreasi, dan kebutuhan air irigasi. Di sisi lain, sumber daya air yang berlebihan – banjir – dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan berat dan hilangnya nyawa manusia. Air sebagai lingkungan hidrosfer dalam skala global, tersebar tidak merata di atas bumi sehingga kelimpahannya di suatu tempat begitu variatif mengikuti waktu dan siklus hidrologis. Akhirnya, dalam penggunaan sumber daya air, manusia banyak mencemari air bersih yang tersedia dan menurunkan derajatnya sedemikian rupa sehingga tidak cocok lagi untuk semua jenis pemanfaatan. Dalam mendapatkan air bersih yang layak dan aman untuk dikonsumsi terutama untuk minum), perlu adanya suatu pengolahan dari air baku menjadi air bersih/minum. Pengolahan air bisa dimulai dengan menggunakan sistem yang sederhana dan dapat juga dengan pengolahan yang kompleks, sesuai dengan tingkat kebutuhan yang diperlukan tergantung dari kualitas air baku yang akan diolah. Semakin rendah kualitas airnya, maka semakin tinggi tingkat pengolahan yang dibutuhkan. Kota Medan pada saat ini telah menjadi salah satu kota metropolitan di Indonesia. Kota Medan termasuk tiga kota besar di Indonesia setelah Jakarta dan Surabaya. Faktor ini sangat mempengaruhi dalam percepatan perkembangan pembangunan kota Medan pada khususnya dan Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada umumnya. PDAM Tirtanadi yang merupakan salah satu perusahaan daerah milik Pemda Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang bergerak dalam bidang penyediaan air bersih dan dioperasikan secara efesien dengan dukungan teknologi yang memadai yang melayani kebutuhan air bersih di Kota Medan dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

The Medan City TPA in the Waterfall Village, Medan Marelan District is the final disposal site for the City of Medan. The composition of the waste at the Waterfall TPA in 2017 consisted of 71.5% organic; Paper 2%; Plastic 10.1%; wood 2%; fabric 2.5% rubber 2.5%; metal 0.6%; glass 0.8%; 1 % chunks; pampers / sanitary napkins 3, 1% and others 3.8% (Department of Hygiene and Parks City Medan). Based on this condition, if waste management efforts are not carried out properly, the service level based on the MDGs (Millineum Development Goals) target of 80% will not be achieved. The composition of plastic waste of 10.1% is quite high. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (2017) stated that plastic waste increased by 15% from 10% in 2005. The increase will continue in line with the need and use of plastic. Plastic is difficult to decompose, so one thing that can be done is only with 3 R's, namely reuse, reduce and recycle. Reuse by using plastic over and over again, reduce by reducing the use of plastic and recycle by recycling plastic. one of the recycled plastics is with eco-bricks. Ecobricks are a collection of all types of used, clean and dry plastic in used plastic bottles so that they reach a certain density and function as building blocks that can be used over and over again. Ecobrick is a simple solution and simple technology in recycling plastic. Ecobricks can provide direct benefits of Rp. 289,000, - / m2 - Rp. 471.000, - / m2, the price of waste utilization is 57.800-78.500 gr/m2, the price of indirect utilization is Rp. 404,600 – Rp. 549,500 m2

Abstract

The persimmon fruit (Diospyros kaki) or Oriental persimmon is a complex plant that lives in the wild for hundreds of years growing in Indonesia in the highlands of at least 1000 above sea level; this plant turns out to function to resist erosion, landslides, and floods because of its strong roots and form fibers inside. The soil so that can withstand soil shifts that are suppressed by water. Besides stems, seeds, fruit from persimmon is also beneficial for health. However, some of this persimmon ecosystem has been cut down because its economic value is too low for the community. The purpose of this study is to determine the monetary value of the remaining persimmon ecosystem, determine what impacts humans feel when cutting down persimmon trees and determine alternative policies with the management of persimmon cultivation in the city of Takengon. This study used a survey method; sampling was selected by purposive sampling. The analysis used is the formula for total economic value (total economic value/TEV), willingness to accept (WTA). The results of this study indicate that the total monetary value of the persimmon ecosystem area in Takengon City is Rp. 27,175,000,000/ha/yr. The estimated economic value of the persimmon area is Rp.254.316 million/year.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to find out E.Coli Analysis of Settlement without Slums in Deli River Watershed, Hamdan Sub-District, Medan Maimun. The results shows that  E. Colli Laboratory amounting to 21420 - 36540/100 ml, still above the quality standards set by PP No.82 of 2001 concerning the management of water quality and control of water pollution. The results of the analysis of Total Coliform Laboratory of 198630 - 241960/100 ml, are still above the quality standards set by PP No.82 of 2001 concerning the management of water quality and control of water pollution. Alternative water treatment needs to be done before structuring buildings around the river location by means of filtration treatment and disinfecting. The arrangement that needs to be done next is to make a bathroom around the river location.

Abstract

Light bulb waste is one type of waste that is categorized into B3 waste which can cause environmental pollution, environmental pollution produced by waste and the absence of efficient handling methods is a problem currently faced by the government, especially non-organic waste which includes hazardous waste. and cannot be decomposed. Light bulb waste is included in the inorganic waste category, although the production of light bulb waste is still small, the waste has great potential for environmental pollution, so it is necessary to study environmental conservation efforts from this waste. Another problem is the potential for recycling waste light bulbs which is currently not fully utilized by the government and the public. The Innovation of Emergency Lighting Design based on Environmentally Friendly Technology (TRL) is a study to find out and analyze the results of recycling waste light bulbs into energy-efficient emergency lighting with the concept of Reduce, Reus, and Recycle to produce a product that can be reused. Research with analytical methods is carried out as an approach to the implementation of research. The analysis was carried out to find out the results of the field review data, besides that the analysis was also carried out from the electrical side in the form of measuring the electrical components contained in the light bulb so that it could support the success of the research. The results showed that recycled lighting can be implemented as an alternative lamp that is environmentally friendly.

Abstract

Limbah bola lampu merupakan salah satu jenis limbah yang dikategorikan kedalam limbah B3 yang dapat menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan. Limbah bola lampu dikategorikan kedalm limbah an organik. Kandungan limbah yang terdiri dari bahan elektrik bahkan cenderung dikategorikan kedalam limbah B3. Kedua jenis limbah tersebut termasuk kedalam limbah  berbahaya dan tidak dapat terurai dialam bebas. Pencemaran lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh limbah dan belum adanya metode penanganan yang efesien merupakan satu permasalahan yang saat ini dihadapi oleh pemerintah.  Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut sehingga perlu dikaji upaya konservasi lingkungan dari limbah tersebut. Permasalahan lain adalah potensi daur ulang dari limbah bola lampu yang saat ini belum dimamfaatkan secara maksimal oleh pemerintah maupun mayarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mereduksi limbah non organik dan B3 di lingkungan kota Medan sebagai upaya konservasi lingkungan. 2) Merancang  lampu penerangan dengan konsep ramah lingkungan sehingga menghasilkan satu produk yang dapat dimamfaatkan kembali. Inovasi Perancangan Lampu Penerangan Emergency berbasis Teknologi Ramah lingkungan (TRL) merupakan satu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan metode perancangan dan analisis sebagai pendekatan dalam pelaksanaan penelitian. Metode perancangan dilakukan untuk merakit lampu penerangan. Metode analisis dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil dari perancangan dan pengujian di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lampu penerangan hasil daur ulang dapat diimplementasikan sebagai lampu alternatif yang ramah lingkunagan dengan data kesesuaian 80% sama dengan lampu penerangan pabrikan. Hasil penelitian ini juga sudah diimplementasikan pada masyarakat Desa Kota Pari, Serdang Bedagai.

Abstract

The village tourism program continues to grow as alternative tourism is expected to make a positive contribution to community development. Efforts to develop and manage resources must be directed so that they can fulfill economic, social, and aesthetic aspects while maintaining the integrity and or preservation of ecology, biodiversity, culture, and living systems. Kuta Rayat is one of the villages in the Naman Teran sub-district, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Kuta Rayat Village is one of the villages planned to become a tourist village. The mentoring activities were carried out in 2023 and involved academics and students of the Architectural Engineering Study Programme of Universitas Panca Budi Medan. The mentoring method was carried out through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the assistance explained that tourism villages have an important role for many aspects, one of which is spurring the potential for the growth of the creative economy in the local environment, as well as opening up employment opportunities for residents who are close to tourist sites. Kuta Rayat Village has a lot of potential to be developed into a tourist area. Through the development of the potential of existing resources, villages in Indonesia, especially the Karo Regency area, are expected to become attractive and sustainable tourist destinations and the main target of tourism village development is to improve the welfare of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are frequently encountered in everyday life, especially among school-age children to adolescents. This condition necessitates special education or services to meet their needs in optimizing individual potential and abilities. The presence of children with ADHD often poses a challenge in the context of the learning process. Understanding the characteristics of students with ADHD is key to planning more effective learning strategies. This study aims to outline the characteristics of students with ADHD in inclusive school environments. The method used is a literature review or literature study. The research results indicate that the main characteristics of students with ADHD include difficulty in focusing attention (inattention), difficulty in controlling impulses (impulsivity), and difficulty in controlling movement (hyperactivity). The conclusion of this research is that teachers in inclusive schools can gain a better understanding of the characteristics of students with ADHD, and from there can design more effective learning strategies.

Abstract

Desa Wisata" translates to "tourist village" in English. It refers to a tourism activity aimed at promoting local tourism by utilizing the cultural, natural, and traditional attractions of the village. "Desa Pondok Balik" is one such village located in the Central Aceh Regency, which has tourism potential in both agriculture and its natural features, particularly a river area known as Sungai Balik situated in the southern part of the village. The landscape design to be carried out will focus on this river area, with the hope that it can support the concept of a Tourist Village in Desa Pondok Balik. The design is guided by the principles of sustainable tourism, aiming to create a tourist area that not only benefits the local economy but also preserves and conserves the environment. Additionally, cultural values, specifically the Gayo culture, are also incorporated into this design concept.
